From the moment Simple appeared within Chen Yang's line of sight, Chen Yang had no time to pay attention to Yao Mengni's sharp tongue. Simple's face instantly turned crimson. "Why is everyone looking at me?" she feigned ignorance. "Aren't we here to pick someone up together? I was dragged here by Lin Xi. If everyone has a target when picking someone up, then who is Qinglan here for?"
While this lively banter was happening, on the other side, Qinglan was greeting Xiang Yuanqiu and Wang Wei.
No one bothered to analyze Simple's offhand remark; everyone knew she never spoke with any ulterior motive. However, when it reached Wang Wei, he thought it was similar to how she spoke with Su Hailu, implying something deeper. Glancing around at the people nearby, aside from picking up Xiang Yuanqiu, there was only him left.

Although Xiang Yuanqiu and Wang Wei had never met the "Shen Xiaomeng" or "Mengmeng" that Hao Chuanze had been asking about, they could tell from the situation that she was likely Hao Chuanze's official girlfriend. However, on the train to Beijing and upon arriving, Chen Yang had repeatedly mentioned Hao Chuanze in a vague manner in front of Yao Mengni, and seeing the way Yao Mengni looked at Hao Chuanze, it seemed that they had already gathered some information and understood Yao Mengni's intentions for coming to Beijing.
