The Yan Family hired a psychologist for Yan Yi Bai.
However, they were all driven away by Yan Yi Bai, and everyone realized just how much Su Ruoyun's death had impacted him.
He now resembled a willful child who had lost his most cherished possession, helplessly hiding away to throw tantrums.
But when would he understand that Su Ruoyun would never return?
Yan Yi Bai had never been this despondent; no matter what challenges he faced, he could always find a solution.
Yet in this situation, it felt as if the entire world had collapsed around him. He felt powerless, and others didn't know how to help him.
Three days after Su Xin'er left, Yan Yi Bai still locked himself in his room.
His family tried every possible method, but aside from being angrily scolded by Yan Yi Bai, there were no results.
On this day, a stranger arrived at the Yan Family Villa and was stopped by the butler at the door.
"My young master is not seeing anyone lately. If you have something to discuss, you should go back," the butler said to the man standing at the entrance.
As the butler turned to leave, the man said, "Yan Yi Bai will see me. Tell him my name is Ouyang Su, and I am here to talk about Su Ruoyun."
Hearing the name Su Ruoyun, the butler suddenly paused, "Is it related to Su Ruoyun?"
Seeing that the butler still looked worried, Ouyang Su stubbed out his cigarette and said, "Yes, go ahead and notify him. He will definitely meet with me."
The butler, half-convinced, went to find Yan Yi Bai. As expected, he agreed immediately and even asked Ouyang Su to wait for him downstairs.
Yan Yi Bai took a shower and shaved before coming down from upstairs.
Although he looked much tidier, it couldn't hide the fact that he had lost weight recently and his face was pale and bloodless.
When Ouyang Su saw Yan Yi Bai, he was taken aback but could understand the situation.
"When do you plan to move on from this?" Ouyang Su said with a tone of reproach right away.
Yan Yi Bai sat down on the sofa and coldly glanced at him. "It's none of your business. What are you doing here?"
Ouyang Su sighed, not answering directly. Instead, he said, "This is a temper that only children throw. You're an adult now; wouldn't it be better to be more mature? Do you really want to torture yourself to find relief?"
Yan Yi Bai's eyes darkened. "If you have nothing else to say and are just here to lecture me, then please leave."
Yan Yi Bai stood up, intending to go upstairs.
Ouyang Su said, "The day after tomorrow is Ruo Yun's funeral."
Yan Yi Bai's body trembled, and he stopped in his tracks.
"I think I should inform you about this matter; perhaps you would want to attend her funeral to bid her farewell. No matter what kind of scum you are or what childish and ridiculous things you've done, after all, you were Ruo Yun's most beloved person in her life. Maybe she would hope to see you at her funeral."
Yan Yi Bai clenched his fists but remained silent.
Ouyang Su stared at his back for a long while before he sighed and stood up.
"Since you won't speak, I'll take that as your agreement. The location of the funeral is on this piece of paper. It will be a simple ceremony; you know Ruo Yun didn't have many relatives, and her father... well..."
Ouyang Su could only express his feelings with a dismissive sound. "No more talking. Since you don't welcome me, I'll take my leave."
"Wait a moment." Yan Yi Bai spoke but did not turn around. "This past year..."
His tone was somewhat hesitant, lacking the sharpness he had when speaking to Ouyang earlier. It seemed that the torment he had endured during this time had dulled many of his edges.
