The girl couldn't help but laugh again at the man who seemed lost in thought.
"Ruo Yun! Ruo Yun, it's really you."
The girl was startled by his sudden action. "Let go of me! Ouyang Su, Ouyang Su..."
"Ouyang Su is here too, so you must be Ruo Yun. I knew you weren't dead; everything was a lie to me."
Yan Yi Bai looked both like he was crying and laughing, which made Su Ruoyun's face turn pale with fear. "I don't know you. You must have mistaken me for someone else. Let go of me. Let go..."
The girl's arm was painfully gripped by him.
Realizing this, Yan Yi Bai quickly released her. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. You... you don't recognize me anymore?"
Su Ruoyun stepped back several paces, only standing still when she confirmed that the man would not come closer.
"I don't know you, sir. You must have mistaken me for someone else. My name is Su Ruo, not Su Ruoyun."
Yan Yi Bai shook his head. "No, you are Su Ruoyun. I won't mistake you; it’s definitely you." He tried to step forward again.
"Stop right there," Su Ruo said. "If you come any closer, I will call the police."
Yan Yi Bai looked at her and realized that she was genuinely frightened by him. He had almost lost his mind just moments ago, but now he was finally coming to his senses. He tried to comfort Su Ruo.
"Okay, okay, I won't get any closer. I won't move forward, alright? Do you... really not recognize me? It's me, Yan Yi Bai, Yan Yi Bai."
Su Ruo furrowed her brows and scrutinized Yan Yi Bai from head to toe several times, but she had no recollection of him.
"I really don't know you," Su Ruo repeated.
She wondered if this person in front of her was mentally ill.
Fortunately, he had stopped approaching her, which calmed Su Ruo down a bit.
"Five years ago, you had a brain tumor and needed to donate a kidney to your mother. You sold me your virginity for a million, and... no, that's not right. We were a couple in college, and then you broke up with me because you were sick and didn't want to burden me. Do you remember? All of this—do you remember? It happened five years ago."
Yan Yi Bai was anxious to explain everything to her clearly.
But when he spoke, it came out in a jumbled mess that made anyone listening think he was insane.
"I'm sorry, I really don't know you. You must have mistaken me for someone else."
Su Ruo didn't want to continue talking to him; he definitely seemed like a mentally unstable person who had gone through some kind of trauma.
Su Ruo wanted to leave, but Yan Yi Bai stepped forward and grabbed her arm again.
Su Ruo screamed in fright, "Let go of me! Ouyang Su, help! Ouyang Su!"
At that moment, Ouyang Su came out of the restroom. Hearing the scream, he hurried over and saw someone grabbing Su Ruo. He pulled them apart and delivered a heavy punch, knocking Yan Yi Bai down to the ground.
"Are you okay? Did he do anything to you?" Ouyang Su asked, concerned for Su Ruo.
Su Ruo hid behind him and shook her head. "I'm fine, but he seems to have mistaken me for someone else. He said I was Su Ruoyun or something."
Ouyang Su was taken aback and turned to look at Yan Yi Bai on the ground.
However, what he saw was Yan Yi Bai smiling excitedly, showing no anger despite being hit.
"Ouyang Su, it really is you. This was all part of your plan, wasn't it? Heh... you're impressive, Ouyang Su. You kept this from me for five years."
Yan Yi Bai got up from the ground and wiped the corner of his mouth.
Ouyang Su hadn't expected to encounter Yan Yi Bai here and frowned. "So it's you."
