He reached out to smooth the wrinkles on her forehead, saying, "Promise me you won't frown ever again. I swear I'll listen to you from now on."
Su Ruoyun couldn't help but smile through her tears as she looked at him with a childlike gaze and nodded. He happily wrapped his arms around her waist.
That day, Su Ruoyun returned to the villa to grab some things, but when she arrived at the hospital, she found that Yan Yi Bai was not in his bed, even though he shouldn't be wandering around.
Feeling a bit anxious, Su Ruoyun hurriedly went out to look for him.
As she stepped out of the ward, she noticed that every patient and nurse in the corridor and throughout the hospital was holding a bouquet of flowers.
Su Ruoyun was puzzled about what was happening but saw that everyone was looking at her with envy.
"Have you... seen that patient here?"
Su Ruoyun asked a nearby nurse, unsure of what was going on.
The nurse just smiled and remained silent. At that moment, surrounded by a group of fellow patients, Yan Yi Bai appeared before her in a black suit, his hair neatly styled. He looked vibrant and full of spirit.
He handed her the flowers and knelt on one knee.
Tears filled Su Ruoyun's eyes as she saw the diamond ring amidst her happiness, and applause erupted around them.
"In this hospital, if it weren't for you, I would no longer be here. For you, I have come back to life. From now on, my life belongs to you. Will you marry me?"
Su Ruoyun was amused by Yan Yi Bai's words; after all, he was the president of Yan Group, and arrogance was part of his nature.
In front of him, she appeared childish, occasionally trying too hard to be funny.
Yet in her eyes, he was perfect.
"Marry him, marry him!"
Voices echoed around them, everyone speaking in unison.
Su Ruoyun's heart raced; this was the happiest moment of her life.
"My life is yours. Will you take me away?"
With tears in her eyes, Su Ruoyun smiled, "I will. Come home with me, little friend."
Yan Yi Bai happily took out a diamond ring and placed it on Su Ruoyun's finger. Cheers erupted as everyone tossed their roses into the air.
For the first time, the hospital was filled with smiles of happiness, and fellow patients blessed them.
Nurses and doctors also presented their small gifts, and soon the entire floor was awash in red.
Yan Yi Bai stepped forward and tightly embraced Su Ruoyun, kissing her deeply.
Cheers once again resonated throughout the building.
After Yan Yi Bai was discharged from the hospital, he began preparing for their wedding.
Su Ruoyun was not in a hurry. Yan Yi Bai's wedding, originally scheduled for next month, had been postponed by Su Ruoyun to three months later.
"Why?" Yan Yi Bai protested with a hint of grievance.
"Because your injuries haven't healed yet. We need to wait until you're completely recovered. I know your personality; once you go crazy, I won't be able to stop you, so we must wait until you're fully healed," Su Ruoyun said while watering the flowers.
"I'm really fine now."
Su Ruoyun put her hands on her hips and turned to look at him. "It's just three months later. Do you have any objections?"
Yan Yi Bai frowned. "Whatever my wife decides, I dare not object."
Su Ruoyun smiled again, and Yan Yi Bai stepped forward to hug her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. Wherever she went, he followed.
"Don't you have to work today?"
"I took a day off because I'm not feeling well."
At that moment, he indeed found an excuse regarding his health.
"You haven't been to the office for three days; there are many things that need your attention," Su Ruoyun said with some concern.
