The Burly Man ruthlessly tore at Lu Kenian's clothes.
Lu Kenian was still tied to the chair, unable to move, and she screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Smack—"
The man's powerful hand struck Lu Kenian's face, causing it to swell immediately.

Wearing glasses and looking scholarly, Lin Xiao was doing this for the first time.
He was startled himself.
Coming back to his senses, Lin Xiao immediately untied Lu Kenian's ropes.
“What happened?”
“I took Xiao Nan home, and something felt off, so I asked a neighbor to look after her and came back to find you. I saw you and Chu Yun together at the café, but then only Xiao Nan came out alone. I felt something was wrong, so I followed.”
As Lin Xiao untied the ropes from Lu Kenian, he noticed her torn clothes and quickly turned away, taking off his jacket.
Lu Kenian put on Lin Xiao's jacket.
“We need to get out of here quickly; that man will wake up soon, and I'm no match for him!”
The two hurriedly left the warehouse and rushed back to the Temporary Rental House.
It was already late at night. Lin Xiao brought Lu Xiaonan back from next door; she was already asleep.
Thinking about the harrowing night, Lu Kenian broke into a cold sweat.
“I’m calling the police!”
Lu Kenian picked up her phone and prepared to call the police, but Lin Xiao snatched it away from her.

Airport
Cold Thunder stepped off the plane in a sharp suit, and the person responsible for picking him up immediately approached.
"Cold Thunder, you've worked hard. Are you heading home now or back to the office?"
"I want to be alone for a while. You all can go back first."
Cold Thunder remained expressionless, dismissing his assistant and driver. He retrieved his car from the parking lot and drove away.
He stopped by a flower shop to buy a bouquet of roses before continuing on his way.
His destination was the cemetery.
Holding the roses and a doll he had bought during his business trip, he arrived at a small grave.
"Xiao Nan, Daddy is back from his trip. I bought you this doll. Do you like it?"
Cold Thunder wore a bittersweet smile as he crouched down to place the roses and the doll in front of the tombstone.
"They say daughters are their father's little lovers from a past life, so Daddy brought you roses."
Cold Thunder gently touched the cold tombstone.
"It's getting late. Daddy has to pick up your brother from school. I'll come back to keep you company next time."
Cold Thunder pressed a cold kiss on the tombstone and drove straight to the kindergarten.
