In the following days, Wu Rong resumed a normal relationship with Rao Jie, and even Rao Jie felt that Wu Rong seemed to be just like when he first moved in. Rao Jie did not dislike their current interaction; on the contrary, it allowed her to focus more on her studies.

His self-relief sessions became increasingly frequent. One time during tutoring, Rao Jie dropped her pen and bent down to pick it up, but the pen rolled right under his seat. Neither of them thought much of it; Wu Rong was still sitting on the sofa looking at her test papers while Rao Jie directly squatted down to retrieve the pen.
However, when Wu Rong came back to his senses and looked down, he saw Rao Jie kneeling right below him, her head buried in picking up the pen between his legs. The sight sent a shock through Wu Rong; although Rao Jie was hitting her head against the edge of the sofa rather than his legs and her posture was not suggestive at all—anyone else present wouldn't find anything wrong—his perspective turned it into an uncontrollable and impactful scene, igniting fantasies in his mind.
In just a few seconds, he reacted. Not daring to let Rao Jie notice, he quietly grabbed a pillow to cover himself and waited anxiously for her to finish picking up the pen, sweating profusely. Once she finally retrieved it, Wu Rong quickly found an excuse and fled.
Rao Jie truly… was making him lose control more and more. The inability to obtain clarity only heightened his turmoil. Some answers seemed to be gradually taking shape.
On this day, Rao Jie went to school for class. Originally planning to leave right after class, she was called by a classmate.

Rao Jie twitched her mouth; she could imagine how those who didn't know Wu Rong were fantasizing about him.
"But I probably won't understand anything. I remember he teaches graduate students."
