Not wanting to burden the other person at all, that must be Long Yong's personality! Rao Jie understood in her heart that it was impossible not to be troubled, impossible for it to be simple. If it were truly that easy, such information would have been circulating in their study group long ago.
Rao Jie felt a bit speechless and could only say for now, "Thank you, senior."
Long Yong smiled even more happily. "Then after class, come with me to get the materials."
Rao Jie couldn't refuse Long Yong's kindness any longer and quickly nodded.
Long Yong cheerfully chatted with Rao Jie about other things. He was genuinely happy; now that Rao Jie was sitting next to him in class, it was a scene he had once fantasized about.
When he had just developed feelings for Rao Jie, he saw someone in class bringing their girlfriend, and the whole class burst into laughter. He didn't know why he felt so envious at that moment. The first thought that popped into his mind was that one day he could bring Rao Jie to class too, and then be surrounded by his friends' teasing laughter filled with blessings. According to Rao Jie's personality, she would definitely be too shy to lift her head, while he would be the one laughing the hardest, pretending to help her dodge the attention!
Now part of that dream had come true.
As they were happily chatting, a loud thud of books hitting the desk came from behind them.
Rao Jie and Long Yong instinctively turned around and saw Bao Ming and Jiang Chuchu.
Jiang Chuchu looked at Rao Jie with an ugly expression before glancing at Bao Ming.
Bao Ming glared at Rao Jie with a dark look; he was the one who had just slammed the books down.
Rao Jie suddenly felt nauseous; she didn't know when it started, but seeing Bao Ming made her feel sick.
Long Yong frowned slightly but didn’t say anything. Instead, he patted Rao Jie's shoulder. When she looked over, he smiled gently at her and said, "About what I just told you regarding He Dong, keep it a secret, okay? Just laugh at him quietly."
Rao Jie shifted her focus as well. "I wouldn't dare!"
The two continued to chat and laugh, but behind them, there was an incessant noise of things being slammed down as if trying to attract their attention.
But no matter what noise Bao Ming made, Rao Jie didn’t turn around.
Finally, she heard Jiang Chuchu's voice breaking through her patience.
"Bao Ming, let's go!"
"Go where? Didn't you want to attend this class?"
"Bao Ming, are you staying because of me or someone else?"
"We're about to start class; stop messing around!"
Rao Jie really doesn't understand what Bao Ming is trying to do. However, after a while, her phone vibrated again, and upon checking, it was another friend request from Bao Ming. Rao Jie felt like she was going to go crazy because of this person. She wanted to stand up and curse, but being in Wu Rong's class with Long Yong sitting next to her, she couldn't do something so attention-grabbing.
Perhaps Rao Jie’s expression was really bad; Long Yong thought for a moment and said, "Rao Jie, why don't we skip this and go get some materials at my place?" Rao Jie was taken aback; she indeed didn't want to stay here any longer and was about to nod when the class bell rang. There was a commotion at the door, and a familiar tall figure walked in with a brisk pace.
In an instant, it seemed that everyone's attention was focused on him. Not only because of his outstanding appearance but more importantly, the aura he exuded—a presence that made everyone fall silent and listen to him speak.
Rao Jie instinctively sat up straight, reflexively preparing to pay attention in class. All her earlier displeasure seemed to vanish the moment she saw Wu Rong.
