Long Yong glanced around but ultimately said nothing, quietly sitting beside Rao Jie. Wu Rong was definitely not the kind of approachable teacher; rather, he was someone to be admired from a distance.
He stepped onto the podium, opened the presentation, and turned on the microphone. His series of actions were smooth and natural, exuding an effortless charm. He hardly looked up at the classroom, as if he didn't care whether there were students attending his class or not.
To him, one student was probably no different from a hundred; he simply followed his own teaching routine without regard for anything else. Once everything was ready, Wu Rong finally spoke his first words, which were quite ordinary.
"Alright, let's start the class."
It was only at this moment that Wu Rong looked up and scanned the room, but there was no smile on his face. Based on Rao Jie’s understanding of Wu Rong, he likely found the number of people bothersome and doubted the quality of those attending, which made him appear somewhat irritated.
Although Wu Rong was very skilled at teaching others, he had no interest in being a mentor. She was just there to attend class; had she done something wrong? Rao Jie felt a chill run down her spine under Wu Rong's gaze; her instincts told her there was danger.
At that moment, she heard someone nearby whispering.
"Chang Fei, is Professor Wu looking at you? I told you that your bright red dress suits you perfectly. Among all these people, you're the most eye-catching and beautiful. You can't go wrong listening to me!"
"Alright, stop talking and listen quietly; Professor Wu doesn't like noise," replied a girl named Chang Fei with a tone full of delight, clearly enjoying her companion's words.
Rao Jie found this amusing; it wasn't her being narcissistic—Wu Rong really was glaring at her; she could feel that much.
Perhaps Wu Rong's prolonged stare had become awkward, causing some restlessness among their group. People around them began to lean in curiously to see who Wu Rong was actually looking at.
Wu Rong quickly withdrew his gaze and calmly began his lecture again, but internally he felt like he was about to explode.
Looking around the classroom, it appeared to him as a chaotic sea of heads; however, he never expected that amidst such disorderly crowds, he would spot Rao Jie at a glance.
It was as if there was a mark on her, as he could instantly lock his gaze onto her with just a casual glance.
But that was not the main point.
The main point was that Rao Jie had actually come, and the person sitting next to her was Long Yong.
Wu Rong had to admit that she was quite sensitive to Long Yong as well.
She reassured herself that if there were other girls around Rao Jie, it wouldn't matter much.
However, there wasn't a single girl in sight; all around her were boys. This completely ruled out the possibility of a chance encounter; it was clear that she had made plans to sit with Long Yong for class!
And it was his class they were attending—was this a provocation directed at him?
Wu Rong gritted her teeth in anger and suddenly realized that the person sitting behind Rao Jie looked somewhat familiar.
