Someone suggested that I should find a new Sugar Daddy. I scoffed. I had just escaped the clutches of Liang Jiacheng; why would I want to jump into another fire pit? I was unwilling. However, I had no other options. After thinking for several days, I finally decided to broaden my horizons.
So, I went to a gathering. At that gathering, I unexpectedly ran into Liang Guangzhou. Liang Guangzhou was very happy to see me: "Qu Man, we meet again." I nodded at him, "Hello."
"You seem to have lost weight," Liang Guangzhou said gently. "Have you not been sleeping well lately?"
I forced a smile, "Maybe."
Liang Guangzhou chuckled, "What I told you last time still stands."
I paused for a moment and looked up at him. He gazed at me with warmth in his eyes.
"Qu Man, I hope we can be friends," he said. "If you need any help, feel free to reach out to me."
I looked at him, feeling a mix of emotions.
Liang Guangzhou smiled, "What's wrong? Are you unwilling?"
I shook my head, "It's not that I'm unwilling, it's just..."
"Just what?" he asked.
"Nothing," I sighed and extended my hand to him, "Hello."
Liang Guangzhou took my hand and smiled, "Hello."
That day at the gathering, Liang Guangzhou drank a lot.
At the end, he asked me to support him. I heard people nearby discussing me. They said that I had finally found a backing again and that this time I would rise again. I tried my best to ignore those voices, telling myself that only by standing at a high place would there be no noise.
Liang Guangzhou chuckled softly above my head. "How long can you hold it in?" he asked. "It doesn't matter," I replied, "I can hold it for as long as needed." Liang Guangzhou glanced at his watch and said, "Half an hour." I nodded and remained silent.
Half an hour later, we got into the car together. Liang Guangzhou sat beside me, hardly speaking, just squinting at me with a hint of a smile at the corners of his lips. I didn't want to pay attention to him; wherever he took me was fine.
"Just hold on for another twenty minutes," Liang Guangzhou suddenly said. I turned my head and looked out the window. It was already dark outside, and our car was driving on the highway. After a while, Liang Guangzhou said again, "Just hold on for another ten minutes." I frowned. Where was he taking me?
I couldn't help but ask, "Where do you want to go?" "Just a few more minutes," Liang Guangzhou replied, looking down at his watch again. I glanced outside and realized we were already on the outskirts of the city. My heart raced. What exactly did he want to do?
I took out my phone, intending to call the police, when Liang Guangzhou suddenly reached out and pressed down on my hand.
"Wait a few more minutes," he said.
I glared at him. "What do you want?"
"Qu Man, beg me," Liang Guangzhou said softly. "If you beg me, I'll let you go."
I gritted my teeth. "Liang Guangzhou, don't go too far."
"Am I going too far?" Liang Guangzhou asked with a smile. "Compared to your father, am I really going too far?"
I stared at him, panic rising in my heart.
"Liang Guangzhou, please don't hurt me," I said. "I... I still have wishes to fulfill."
I was on the verge of tears.
I really didn't want to die like this.
My life had just begun.
Liang Guangzhou laughed heartily and told the driver, "Stop the car."
The vehicle came to a halt, and Liang Guangzhou beckoned me, "Get out."
I followed him out of the car and looked ahead, only to discover a dark lake not far away.
"You don't need to hold it in anymore," Liang Guangzhou said.
It was then that I realized what he meant.
