Wu Rong replied directly, "I'll go with you."
Rao Jie was taken aback, "Huh? You want to go with me, at school?"
Seeing Rao Jie's awkward expression, Wu Rong realized it might be a bit inappropriate. They were already trying to avoid drawing attention to themselves; although it wasn't anything shameful, it could still have a negative impact.
"Alright, you go ahead. I'll wait for you in the parking lot."
Rao Jie immediately nodded with a smile and then left.
Wu Rong waited in the parking lot for a while before Rao Jie returned, holding a large stack of materials in her arms.
With just a glance, Wu Rong recognized that the materials were related to mathematics.
While driving, he asked, "What is it?"
Rao Jie replied, "It's some past exam papers from the teacher who set the questions this time, along with predicted question types for this year's graduate entrance exam."
Rao Jie hadn't expected Long Yong to prepare so much for her; she definitely needed to treat Long Yong to a meal sometime, or else she would feel guilty.
Wu Rong nodded and didn't ask further.
However, when Rao Jie was cooking at home, Wu Rong casually flipped through the materials and had a strong premonition that these concise and accurate resources were definitely not something that Rao Jie’s classmates could summarize.
An answer emerged in his mind, and Wu Rong felt an intense anger rising within him but had no outlet for it.
Rao Jie was deliberately hiding this from him to avoid conflict; if he made a scene now, wouldn't that make him look worse than that person?
Moreover, although Wu Rong was proud, he wasn't blind. These materials were something he hadn't thought of and were genuinely beneficial for Rao Jie.

Turning to look at the kitchen, he saw Rao Jie busy cooking and suddenly felt an urge; he wanted to keep Rao Jie locked inside this house, not letting her go out or see any seniors or ex-boyfriends—only allowing her to focus on him taking care of her, filling her heart and eyes only with himself.
He… didn’t want to share Rao Jie with anyone else.
In the evening, after dinner, he helped Rao Jie review using the newly acquired materials. It was quite unpleasant for Wu Rong, but there was nothing he could do since he hadn’t prepared thoroughly!
At that moment, he received a message from Ye Ming inviting him out for drinks. Ye Ming often invited him for drinks, but he usually ignored it. However, tonight he really wanted to drink.
Looking at Rao Jie who was focused on writing her exam paper, Wu Rong said with mixed feelings, "I have something to take care of outside for a bit; we'll stop here for tonight. You can review by yourself!"
Rao Jie was taken aback and looked up at Wu Rong, feeling a bit puzzled. It was rare for Wu Rong to go out at night.

As Wu Rong met Rao Jie's dark eyes, her heart grew more troubled, as if she needed some kind of breakthrough. She grabbed her coat and stepped out the door.
Upon arriving at the bar that Ye Ming had suggested, she found both Ye Ming and Shi Tiankai there. Shi Tiankai was their classmate who worked as a police officer.
The three of them had always had a good relationship, and even after Wu Rong went to a foreign country, they kept in touch. However, Shi Tiankai was often too busy, with his work schedule frequently turning his days and nights upside down, so he didn't spend much time with them.
Shi Tiankai was honest, stubborn, and filled with a sense of justice. To outsiders, he appeared imposing and authoritative, while to those close to him, he seemed like a big boy. When he was with Ye Ming, he sometimes acted like a seasoned veteran, but in reality, he was quite innocent at heart.
