Chapter Fifty-Three: The Mountain Has Trees
Junxi had not slept a wink all night, and Xue Waiwai had also stayed awake until dawn.
She kept pressing Junxi, "So what happened next? Did you confess or not?"
"No."
After that crisp reply, Junxi pulled off the hair tie that had slipped to the ends of her hair, shook her long locks, and jumped off the edge of the bed.

"You go eat breakfast; I'll help you bring your things down first." He shoved the bag into Junxi's hands.
The logo on the bag was from Grain Path, a well-known establishment. The glutinous rice cakes from there had been Junxi's favorite since childhood. But she hadn't had them in a long time because Grain Path was too far from where she lived. She never expected Zhou Xuanyu would go out of his way to buy her breakfast.
"But the girls' dormitory is off-limits to men," Junxi pointed out, gesturing to the sign at the entrance.
Zhou Xuanyu didn't even glance at the sign and nodded. "I've already made arrangements; it's just moving a few things."
With that, he swaggered inside, even walking ahead of Junxi.
The usually loud aunties in the dormitory office fell silent when they saw him casually walk in.
Junxi hurriedly followed, and when she passed by the dormitory office, she saw the breakfast bag from Grain Path on the table, and everything clicked into place.
