"Who is it so early?" Junxi slipped into her clothes and glanced at the watch. 0

Just as she was thinking, her phone rang. 0

Junxi looked at the name on the screen and suddenly panicked. 0

"Get up quickly, it's Zhou Ziyan!" 0

"It's Zhou Ziyan, so what?" 0

Zhou Xuanyu sat up, leisurely putting on his clothes. Junxi's reaction made him inexplicably uncomfortable. Was she really that worried about Zhou Ziyan finding out about their relationship? 0

Junxi didn’t notice the change in Zhou Xuanyu’s expression; she was just standing by the bed, anxiously fiddling with her phone. 0

"I'll go open the door. You stay inside and don’t come out, okay?" Junxi suggested to Zhou Xuanyu. 0

Zhou Xuanyu shot her a glance. "My car is downstairs." 0

"Oh right, your car is downstairs." Junxi rubbed her hair. "What should we do then?" 0

Zhou Xuanyu had already finished dressing. He walked up to Junxi and squeezed her shoulders. "What exactly are you worried about?" 0

"I just..." She simply wasn't ready yet, not prepared to reveal her intimate relationship with another person. After all, everything had happened so fast, like a dream. 0

Junxi didn’t know how to express her feelings because she wasn’t sure if Zhou Xuanyu would truly understand. 0

Zhou Ziyan was already knocking forcefully on the door. 0

"Junxi! Junxi!" He knocked and shouted. 0

At this rate, it was likely that the neighbors upstairs would be disturbed by his noise. 0

"Go open the door first," Zhou Xuanyu said. 0

Junxi nodded, pulling Zhou Xuanyu out of the bedroom while casually closing the door behind them. The evidence of their passionate night was too obvious on her bed; anyone who saw it would know just how intense the battle had been. 0

"Junxi, are you okay?" Zhou Ziyan's voice grew louder from outside. 0

"I'm coming." 0

As Junxi answered the door, she glanced back at Zhou Xuanyu. He had tidied himself up and looked just as he had when he arrived yesterday. 0

In contrast to Junxi's flustered state, Zhou Xuanyu appeared particularly calm and composed. He sat down on the sofa and even propped his leg up casually. 0

The door swung open, and Zhou Ziyan rushed in, his gaze seemingly searching for something. When he spotted Zhou Xuanyu, his eyes locked onto him. 0

"Uncle, you’re here so early?" 0

Zhou Xuanyu turned around. Junxi stood behind Zhou Ziyan, her lips slightly downturned as she looked at him with a "please don’t say anything reckless" expression. He pretended not to notice and directed his attention back to Zhou Ziyan. 0

"Aren't you here early too?" 0

"I came to pick up Junxi for breakfast. We agreed on it yesterday, right?" Zhou Ziyan turned to look at Junxi as if seeking her confirmation. 0

Junxi paused for a moment. Was there such an arrangement? 0

It seemed there was. 0

Yesterday after work, Xiaolin and the others were discussing the new porridge shop that had opened on New Street. They said the health porridge inside was incredibly delicious and had beauty benefits. Junxi chimed in with a few questions, and Zhou Ziyan thought she was interested, so he said he would pick her up tomorrow morning to try it out. 0

But Junxi clearly remembered saying she wouldn't be able to get up and wouldn't go. 0

Zhou Ziyan was just as he always was, taking matters into his own hands. 0

"I completely forgot," Junxi mumbled. 0

Forgot? 0

That meant there really was something to it. 0

Zhou Xuanyu narrowed his eyes. 0

"It doesn't matter if you forgot; now you've remembered, right?" Zhou Ziyan patted Junxi on the head. Although she didn't respond affirmatively, he was already satisfied with this level of response. He then turned back to Zhou Xuanyu. "So, what brings you here so early, Uncle?" 0

Zhou Xuanyu rubbed his chin, not ignoring Junxi's pitiful gaze. He couldn't bear to hurt her feelings. After all, he hadn't officially given her a title yet; since he hadn't given her a title, he couldn't tarnish her reputation. 0

"I have an urgent meeting this morning that requires the documents in Wen Junxi's possession. I'm here to collect them," Zhou Xuanyu said flatly. 0

Junxi silently breathed a sigh of relief. 0

"Where are the documents?" Zhou Ziyan asked. 0

"I want to ask the same thing. Where are they?" Zhou Xuanyu spread his hand in front of Junxi. "Didn't you say they would be ready soon? Why haven't they been done after all this time?" 0

When Zhou Xuanyu said these words, he really did sound like a strict boss. 0

Junxi secretly admired how convincing this man was when he acted. 0

"The documents are in my room; I just organized them. I'll go get them," Junxi said, winking at Zhou Xuanyu. 0

Zhou Xuanyu ignored her. 0

It was already a rare feat for him to endure her nonsense, so how could she expect an enthusiastic response? 0

Junxi dashed into her room and rummaged through her cabinet. Inside, there were a few translation drafts left over from when she worked with an Italian client. 0

Though they were just drafts, they were more than enough to fool Zhou Ziyan. 0

Junxi grabbed the files and walked out of the bedroom. 0

"Here you go, the documents," Junxi said, handing the papers to Zhou Xuanyu with a serious expression. 0

Zhou Xuanyu remained seated on the sofa, maintaining his earlier demeanor. 0

Meanwhile, Zhou Ziyan sat at the dining table, several feet away from Zhou Xuanyu. 0

Junxi felt that something was off between the uncle and nephew lately, but she couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. Their relationship hadn't worsened, but it certainly wasn't as close as before. At least in the past, when Zhou Ziyan saw Zhou Xuanyu, he wouldn't be so indifferent; he would stick to him like glue, asking questions left and right. 0

Today he had asked questions too, but it felt more like an interrogation. 0

Zhou Xuanyu took the "documents" from Junxi and flipped through them casually. 0

"How is it?" Junxi asked cautiously, watching him closely. 0

"I'll look at it when I get back to the office. I'm leaving now," he replied. 0

Zhou Xuanyu stood up. Although he really did not want to leave Junxi and Zhou Ziyan alone, he knew that staying here would only add to Junxi's troubles. 0

When did he become her burden? Just thinking about it made him angry. 0

"Mr. Zhou, let me walk you out," Junxi said, sensing his mood and quickly following him in an attempt to comfort him. 0

"No need." 0

Zhou Xuanyu didn't look back as he swiftly made his way through the corridor and disappeared down the stairs. 0

Junxi waited for a moment, and soon the sound of a car starting echoed from downstairs. 0

Her heart felt suddenly empty. 0

After taking a shower and changing clothes, Junxi followed Zhou Ziyan to the newly opened porridge shop. To her surprise, Xiaolin and several colleagues from other departments were also there. As soon as they saw Junxi and Zhou Ziyan walk into the shop, they began to laugh ambiguously. 0

"Junxi, did you and Zhou Gongzi make plans early this morning? Or have you not separated since last night?" Xiaolin was indeed the most gossipy person in Hengfu Group. 0

"What are you thinking?" Junxi pushed Xiaolin's shoulder playfully. 0

Xiaolin wore a knowing expression and turned to Zhou Ziyan, winking at him. 0

Zhou Ziyan didn’t explain; he simply took a seat behind them. 0

Junxi followed him over. Since leaving home, Zhou Ziyan hadn’t said a word; he had been silent all the way. Junxi’s mood was also not great. 0

"What do you want to eat?" 0

"Is it your turn?" 0

"This one?" 0

"Sure." 0

"…" 0

Their conversation felt as terse as a telegram. 0

In contrast to Xiaolin and the others at their table, who were laughing and chatting, the atmosphere between Junxi and Zhou Ziyan was rather bleak. Yet Junxi couldn't understand what was bothering Zhou Ziyan. She had kept her promise to come and have porridge with him; what more could he possibly be dissatisfied with? 0

Shouldn't she be the one feeling disgruntled? He had stirred up chaos for her since early morning. 0

When the porridge arrived, it was rich in ingredients and looked quite appetizing, but Junxi found it hard to enjoy. After finally finishing a bowl, she looked up to see that Zhou Ziyan seemed even less able to swallow than she was. 0

Xiaolin and the others finished their meal and came over, saying they wanted to catch a ride with Zhou Ziyan. He set down his spoon, didn’t take another bite, and stood up to leave. 0

"Aren't you going to finish?" Junxi asked. 0

This guy could usually eat a whole basket of dumplings and a bowl of noodles in the morning; why couldn’t he manage even a bowl of porridge today? 0

"I'm not hungry anymore," he replied. 0

"If you're not hungry, then why did you come here so early?" Junxi shot back, annoyed. 0

Zhou Ziyan remained silent, grabbing his car keys to go get the vehicle. 0

Xiaolin leaned in cautiously and asked, "Did you two have a fight or something?" 0

Junxi shook her head. They had been bickering since childhood; arguing was the norm. If they could actually get into a fight, it would be a good thing. But now, Zhou Ziyan clearly seemed too lazy to say much. 0

A group of people returned to the company in full force. 0

Today, there were guests visiting the company. Last night, the administrative department had worked overtime to hang a welcoming banner at the entrance. The bright red banner hung high, looking quite festive. 0

When Junxi arrived, Zhou Xuanyu was already there. His office door was tightly closed, indicating that he had dived into work early in the morning. She quietly observed him through the glass door; he had changed his clothes and looked refreshed, making it hard to tell if he was angry. 0

However, even if he were angry, Junxi wouldn't be able to tell. Zhou Xuanyu was someone who hid his emotions deeply; he wouldn’t bring his personal feelings into work. 0

Moreover, Junxi wasn’t sure if she was important enough to affect his mood. 0

Sigh... 0

As soon as work hours began, Galen came over to inform Junxi that among the clients attending later were Italians and Americans, and she was required to join the meeting. 0

Junxi nodded in agreement, and Galen then turned to Zhou Ziyan. 0

“Zhou Ziyan, Mr. Zhou wants you to participate in this business deal as well.” 0

Zhou Ziyan glanced at Galen and replied, “I’m not interested.” 0
