The woman in Shen Yunchong's arms jumped back as if shocked by an electric current upon hearing the noise. 0

Her reaction made Zhou Xuanyu feel a twinge of guilt, but he was deliberately interrupting Shen Yunchong's moment. 0

Shen Yunchong frowned, not in a hurry to see who had arrived. Instead, he spoke seriously to the woman, "You always forget that you are about to marry me." 0

The woman shot him a reproachful glance. "I haven't forgotten." 0

"Then what's wrong with me kissing you?" Shen Yunchong said playfully, his tone somewhat mischievous. 0

"Someone is coming." 0

After she spoke, she immediately turned her gaze toward Zhou Xuanyu. 0

Shen Yunchong lazily shifted his attention as well. When he realized that the person who had interrupted him was Zhou Xuanyu, he stood up awkwardly. 0

"Mr. Zhou?" 0

"President Shen. Long time no see. What brings you here..." Zhou Xuanyu feigned surprise, looking Shen Yunchong up and down. 0

Shen Yunchong glanced down at the apron tied around his waist and chuckled, though he didn't rush to untie it. 0

"Business is tough these days, so I came here to look for a part-time job." 0

Zhou Xuanyu was taken aback by this unexpected joke from him. Before he could respond, the woman beside Shen Yunchong spoke up. 0

"Mr. Zhou, don't listen to him joking around. I can't afford someone like him for a part-time job." 0

"Ouyang Shuyu, the only thing I want is what you can give." 0

"You..." Ouyang Shuyu suddenly blushed, but because Zhou Xuanyu was present, she couldn't say much. She could only frown at Shen Yunchong, signaling him not to speak such ambiguous words in front of others. 0

Zhou Xuanyu naturally understood, but he merely observed the exchange of glances between the two without saying a word. 0

Fortunately, they had turned in to buy flowers; otherwise, he wouldn't have grasped what the media referred to as "tender affection." 0

"Mr. Zhou, are you here to buy flowers?" 0

Although she had only been there twice, Ouyang Shuyu had an excellent memory. She not only remembered him but also recalled his surname. 0

"Yes." 0

"Isn't Miss Wen with you today?" Ouyang Shuyu glanced at Zhou Ziyan in the car outside. 0

"No." 0

"Miss Wen came to see me last time and asked me to save some mint flowers for her when they arrived. I've been keeping them aside for her, but I forgot to ask for her contact information. I'm afraid they won't be fresh by then." 0

"Boss Lady, since you know President Shen, why not ask him for Junxi's contact information?" 0

Shen Yunchong heard this and looked up at Zhou Xuanyu. 0

Zhou Xuanyu winked at him. 0

It seemed that Ouyang Shuyu was unaware of Shen Yunchong's near engagement to Junxi. That was good; Shen Yunchong had caused him unease all day, and he was determined to get back at him. 0

"Oh?" Ouyang Shuyu looked at Shen Yunchong in confusion. "You know Miss Wen too?" 0

Shen Yunchong was stunned for a few seconds, his gaze at Zhou Xuanyu nearly sparking with fire. But he quickly regained his composure. "I mentioned before that Minya needed a godmother. This godmother is none other than your Miss Wen, Wen Junxi." 0

"This is quite a coincidence," Ouyang Shuyu exclaimed excitedly. "I felt an instant connection with Miss Wen, and I never expected that there would be such a fate behind it all." 0

Zhou Xuanyu was surprised that Ouyang Shuyu was so delighted about Junxi's acquaintance with Shen Yunchong, showing no signs of suspicion or concern. 0

"Then, the girl you mentioned earlier, the one you almost married, is Miss Wen?" Ouyang Shuyu realized. 0

Zhou Xuanyu understood now; Shen Yunchong had already confessed, which explained everything. 0

"I did it for Minya," Shen Yunchong seized the opportunity to express his loyalty immediately. 0

"I believe you did it for Minya. But Mr. Zhou..." Ouyang Shuyu suddenly turned her attention to Zhou Xuanyu. "Aren't you and Miss Wen in a relationship? How could you bear to let her marry Yunchong?" 0

Zhou Xuanyu found himself in a tight spot, while Shen Yunchong turned the tables on him, giving him a knowing wink. 0

"I didn't want to, of course. It was just that at the time, I had some unavoidable difficulties. And Mr. Shen happened to lend a helping hand, which led to this situation..." 0

Ouyang Shuyu nodded understandingly. 0

"In life, everyone has their struggles. I understand you, and I understand Yunchong." 0

Zhou Xuanyu's gaze held admiration, which Shen Yunchong noticed. Feeling somewhat proud, he stood up and put his arm around Ouyang Shuyu's shoulders. 0

"Mr. Zhou, I don't think I've introduced you properly. This is my wife, Ouyang Shuyu." 0

"Not quite a wife yet," Ouyang Shuyu playfully interjected. 0

"Hey!" Shen Yunchong shot her a glare. "It's already settled; do you want to create any more surprises?" 0

"I wouldn't dare; I wouldn't dare at all," Ouyang Shuyu said as she patted Shen Yunchong's chest in a seemingly soothing manner. 0

Shen Yunchong's expression softened as he continued, "Ouyang Shuyu, this is Zhou Xuanyu. Mr. Zhou is the current president of Hengfu Group, a man of loyalty and worth getting to know." 0

Zhou Xuanyu was somewhat surprised by the high praise from Shen Yunchong. 0

"I've never met anyone you say is worth knowing," Ouyang Shuyu said with a smile, his gaze towards Zhou Xuanyu becoming more friendly. 0

"It doesn't matter how deep my previous connections were, but Mr. Zhou is different." 0

"In what way is he different?" 0

"In what way is he different?" Zhou Xuanyu and Ouyang Shuyu asked in unison. 0

"The difference is that Mr. Zhou is likely to become Minya's godfather." 0

Although Shen Yunchong was reluctant to let Zhou Xuanyu take on a ready-made daughter, he felt he had to accept it for Junxi's sake. 0

Zhou Xuanyu smiled. 0

"President Shen, thank you for your kind words. I will definitely work hard to become your daughter's godfather as soon as possible." 0

Shen Yunchong snorted lightly, "Just remember to give a generous red envelope when the time comes." 0

"Absolutely." 0

Early in the morning, Junxi received flowers from One World. Although the card was unsigned, Junxi knew it must have been sent by Zhou Xuanyu. 0

It seems that the child can be taught, and even decayed wood is not beyond carving. 0

"What’s wrong? Standing at the door with flowers and grinning like an idiot?" Mother Yang Tingfang happened to come out of the kitchen. 0

"Mom, what do you mean 'what's wrong'? You should be asking who sent them," Junxi replied as she closed the door and brought the flowers inside. 0

"Do I need to guess? It's obviously Xuan Yu." 0

"How do you know?" 0

"Your face and eyes are giving it away," Yang Tingfang said, tapping Junxi's forehead. 0

Junxi chuckled as she turned to find a vase. After locating it, she scattered the bouquet and arranged the flowers to brighten up the room. 0

"Are you going back to school soon?" Yang Tingfang asked. 0

Junxi nodded. 0

She had already received the school's notice about returning. The graduation ceremony was scheduled for the week after next, and all graduates had to return a week early to submit their theses and prepare for their defenses. 0

Junxi had a heavier load because she was chosen to represent her classmates and give a speech at the graduation ceremony. To have enough time to prepare, she had requested half a month off from Shen Yunchong in advance. 0

As an intern, getting leave was not difficult; Shen Yunchong readily agreed. However, he repeatedly reminded her that she must attend the wedding. 0

Junxi readily agreed. 0

Shen Yunchong added, "Ouyang Shuyu just returned to Qingcheng not long ago and doesn’t have many friends here. If you don’t mind, could you be her bridesmaid?" 0

Naturally, Junxi would not refuse such a good opportunity. 0

"Since you agreed, I should mention that I wanted to ask you to be my bridesmaid, and someone has volunteered to be my groomsman." 0

"Who?" Junxi asked curiously. 0

"Who else but your family member, Zhou Xuanyu?" 0

Junxi was taken aback. Although she had anticipated this, hearing Shen Yunchong say that Zhou Xuanyu would be his groomsman still felt surreal. 0

The previously hostile Zhongyuan Group and Hengfu Group had not only broken the ice after Zhou Xuan Yong's passing but were slowly moving towards a friendlier relationship. This would surely become another hot topic aside from the wedding itself. 0

However, Junxi was optimistic about this development. 0

In the afternoon, her parents took Jun Xuan for a follow-up check at the hospital. Junxi stayed home to tidy up. She had discussed with Xue Waiwai and a few sisters from her dormitory about moving back to the dorm tomorrow. 0

After struggling in this harsh society for half a year, it seemed everyone had a lot of grievances they needed to vent. Last night, they had chatted in their group until midnight, showing just how eager they were to reconnect with the purity of their ivory tower. 0

Junxi continued organizing until evening. As darkness fell, her parents and Jun Xuan still hadn't returned. Worried, she called her father, Wen Wei, only to be told that they wouldn't be coming back for dinner. 0

When she asked why, Wen Wei hesitated before finally handing the phone over to Jun Xuan. 0

"We're just giving you two some time alone," Jun Xuan said. 0

You two? Alone time? But she was clearly by herself. 0

Just as Junxi pondered this, a melodious sound of harmonica music drifted up from downstairs. 0

She hung up the phone and walked to the window. As she pushed it open, the harmonica's sound became even clearer. 0

The theme song of "Castle in the Sky" played softly in the background. 0

Junxi leaned out, and the sky had completely darkened. In the alley below, someone had arranged a heart shape with candles. The flickering candlelight danced gently in the breeze. In the center of the heart was her name, Junxi. 0

What did this mean? A confession? But there were no spectators, no applause, no cheers... It was nothing like the passionate confessions she had seen at school. 0

Yet, when she saw Zhou Xuanyu approaching the swaying heart, she felt that this tranquility was quite nice. 0

The two of them gazed at each other from a distance for a moment. Then Junxi saw Zhou Xuanyu pull out his phone, and soon after, her own phone rang. 0

"Come down, I'll take you to eat." 0

That line certainly shattered the romantic atmosphere. 0

But Junxi still smiled. 0

At his age, if he could manage to create such a romantic moment, it was probably the best he could do. She had no expectations that he would shout her name from below like a young man bursting with hormones. 0

"Taking you to eat," if such sweet words could be spoken for a lifetime, it would still be a form of romance. 0

Junxi grabbed her coat and went downstairs. Only after reaching the ground floor did she realize that it was the Vagrant Old Man from the garage across the street who had helped play the harmonica earlier. 0

Zhou Xuanyu was thanking the Old Man. 0

The Old Man waved his hand, a twinkle of joy in his murky eyes. "A drop of water shall be returned with a burst of spring. I will always remember Mr. Zhou's kindness. Today, you asking me to do such an important thing is an honor; I should be the one thanking you. I've wandered through many places, but it's been a long time since I've seen such simple and sincere love." 0

Zhou Xuanyu turned back to look at Junxi. 0

Junxi watched them with satisfaction; only then did he feel at ease. 0

Zhou Xuanyu bid farewell to the Old Man and turned to walk towards Junxi. 0

"Zhou Ziyan says I'm old-fashioned, and I admit it. But given my age, I really can't think of anything novel, so I can only resort to these old-fashioned methods," he said, pausing for a moment before asking, "Are you satisfied?" 0

Junxi raised an eyebrow. "It's okay." 0

Her casual response was more than enough for Zhou Xuanyu. 0

He opened the car door for her, and after she got in, he took her to a restaurant he had reserved in advance. 0

The restaurant was special; the private room Zhou Xuanyu booked overlooked the entire night view of Qingcheng, but the room itself was small. Just a table and two chairs, with fine wine and candlelight. 0

It seemed he had planned this all along. 0

As Junxi stepped inside and saw the beautiful scene, she felt a bit tipsy already. 0

Seeing her happy, Zhou Xuanyu couldn't help but ask again. 0

"Are you satisfied?" 0

Junxi remained noncommittal and simply said, "Zhou Xuanyu, you really are quite old-fashioned." 0

However, with so many quaint romantic gestures combined together, this old-fashioned charm became endearing. 0
