At that moment, the Chief Eunuch simply intended to push Le Yao Yao forward to serve the prince as he boarded the carriage. However, feeling a bit irritated with the little eunuch's lack of understanding, he unconsciously applied a bit more force.
Le Yao Yao had never expected the Chief Eunuch would push her, and she was taken aback by the strength behind it.
Her current frail body could hardly withstand such force from the Chief Eunuch. Consequently, she was caught off guard and let out a startled "ah" as she tumbled forward toward the man not far ahead.
With Le Yao Yao's scream, the Guards, who were mounted on their tall horses, immediately prepared to leap forward to kick her away.
After all, they had trained tirelessly since childhood with the sole purpose of protecting the prince's safety. Anyone who posed a threat to him had to be stopped.
Thus, when they saw Le Yao Yao losing her balance and lunging toward Leng Junyu, they naturally could not allow it to happen.
However, just as they were about to spring into action, Leng Junyu noticed the commotion behind him. He merely frowned slightly to signal them to hold back. Although the Guards were puzzled, they obeyed their master's command and refrained from acting recklessly.
As Leng Junyu observed the small dark blue figure hurtling toward him, he realized that with his abilities, he could easily sidestep out of the way.
Yet before he could think further, his body seemed to have a mind of its own as he stood firmly in place, arms slightly outstretched, ready to catch the small figure.
On the other side, after being pushed by the Chief Eunuch, Le Yao Yao braced herself for a fall onto the ground. To her surprise, however, the anticipated pain never came; instead, she landed on something solid.
Though it didn’t hurt and felt quite resilient, Le Yao Yao was still in shock from her earlier fright and hadn’t yet regained her senses. Her mind remained in a daze.
She felt as if she were enveloped by something warm. The familiar scent of Ambergris wafted through her nose—pleasant and reminiscent of something she had encountered before...
Le Yao Yao felt puzzled, her nose instinctively sniffing the air, resembling a cute little puppy.
It was only when she finally recalled where that familiar scent of Ambergris came from that a deep, hoarse voice echoed from above her head.
"Have you sniffed enough?!"
"Uh..."
Hearing that familiar, raspy voice, Le Yao Yao felt as if she had been struck by lightning, freezing in place.
Slowly, like a machine, Little Face lifted her head. When Beautiful Eyes met those indifferent, cold eyes, Le Yao Yao felt a jolt run through her body, her pretty face flushing with embarrassment. In that moment, she felt as if she could die from humiliation.
Oh my! She had embarrassed herself to the point of no return!
She had actually hugged this icy man in front of everyone and had just been sniffing around him like a little puppy.
Now that she thought about it, Le Yao Yao truly wished she could vanish!
Although she was filled with regret, once she realized she was still clinging to him, she sprang away from the man as if propelled by springs.
With her shy and flushed Beautiful Eyes glancing around, she noticed the stunned expressions on everyone's faces. Clearly, they were just as shocked by her earlier actions.
