Kevin seemed to have completely forgotten about fatigue and pain, his eyes filled only with extreme hatred towards the monster. Each time he raised the axe, it was more powerful than the last, each strike filled with rage and despair. The monster's cries became sharper and more painful, but Kevin did not pause for a moment, relentlessly pounding the already exhausted creature. 0

However, just as Kevin was about to swing the axe again, the entire floor suddenly shook. A powerful engine roared through the entire building, and then, in the darkness, intense white light suddenly illuminated the entire space. The once terrifying shadows and silence were instantly shattered, as white fluorescent lights lit up the entire floor as bright as day. 0

Kevin was momentarily dazzled by the sudden brightness, causing him to stop his actions. The true face of the monster finally appeared clearly in front of everyone. The hidden terror of the past shadows no longer existed, replaced instead by the monster's originally somewhat human-like features, which quickly twisted and shattered under Kevin's furious axe blows, no longer showing its original characteristics. Each chop was accompanied by splattering blood and brain matter, as if it was a punishment for its crimes. The liquid gushed out like a burst dam, trickling from the monster's wounds and falling onto the gray-white ground. 0

The blood on the ground quickly formed a large patch of red and white stains. The red part resembled fresh tomato juice, interwoven with the white brain matter, making the stain look unusually terrifying. This thick liquid flowed on the ground, with each drop recording Kevin's anger and revenge against the monster. 0

Kevin stood still, breathing heavily. The axe in his hand was completely stained with fresh blood, dripping onto the ground and merging with the bloodstains. His gaze was fixed on the body of the monster, his deep eyes filled with a mixture of fear and anger. 0

The whole scene was filled with the smell of blood. The distinct metallic odor wafted through the air, causing Alan and Mary to instinctively cover their mouths and noses, trying to avoid inhaling the nauseating smell. The stimulating sensation in the air made their skin crawl, as if the chill had penetrated their very marrow from the outside. 0

Mary's body clung tightly to the cold, icy ground, her chest heaving violently with each breath as if recounting the fear and shock she had just experienced. Her eyes were filled with an incredulous emotion, frozen in the bloody and terrifying scene as if she were a statue. Her fingertips trembled slightly, lightly touching the ground as if to confirm the reality of it all. 0

Alan's original stance slightly lost its balance due to the horror, leaning back slightly. A hint of unease flashed in his eyes, and when he fully saw the scene before him, the terror almost made him forget to breathe. Unconsciously, he wiped the cold sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand, his throat constricted with tension, making speech difficult for a moment. 0

In this dead silent space, the blood and brain matter covering Kevin became the most vivid focal point. His face no longer showed the decisiveness and passion it once did, but rather a sense of chaos and confusion. His hands still tightly gripped the axe, with blood dripping from the blade, echoing in the empty place. His eyes revealed deep perplexity, as if trying to recall everything that had just happened. His mouth opened, but no sound seemed to come out, only repeated deep breaths, as if trying to awaken himself from this terrifying scene. 0

Alan stood there, momentarily shocked, his thoughts in disarray, feeling a whirlwind of chaos in his mind. He tried to steady his breathing, taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling, hoping to calm the unease in his heart. In this tense atmosphere, the slight twitch of his mouth seemed to be the only sign of life. 0

Finally, he decided to break the silence and make an effort to find a sense of certainty. "So... is it a person or a monster?" His tone was filled with confusion, and his gaze shifted back and forth between Mary and Kevin, seemingly eager to find an answer from their reactions. 0

Mary's eyes were filled with confusion and fear. Tear stains marked her cheeks, and her eyes were swollen, making her look extremely fragile. She tried to speak, but her throat seemed to be blocked by something, only producing weak, incoherent sobs. Although she wanted to say something, she seemed unable to find the right words to express her feelings. 0

Kevin's face, on the other hand, was firm to the point of near fanaticism. Although he tried to appear calm and confident, the anxiety and confusion could not be concealed. He gritted his teeth, seemingly searching for the right words: "I'm telling you, what I did was right. That was definitely not a person, it was just a monster." His voice was resolute, but at the same time tinged with a hint of pleading. 0

However, after saying these words, his hands could not stop trembling slightly. He tightly gripped the handle of the axe, seemingly trying to find some kind of strength and certainty. But the once firm eyes were now filled with confusion and unease. From his expression, it was evident that he was struggling internally, and he might not be entirely sure if what he did was truly right. 0
