It seemed that even after their breakup, Rao Jie still belonged to him in some way.
Bao Ming stepped forward, reaching out to grab her arm. "Rao Jie, I can help you, you..."
"Let go! What are you doing? Let go!"
The more Rao Jie resisted, the tighter Bao Ming held on, as if he intended to pull her into his embrace like before. Rao Jie felt utterly disgusted, but her strength was no match for Bao Ming's, and she couldn't break free.
At that moment, they were standing at the entrance of the classroom building, and people who had just finished their exams were stopping to watch them.
"Rao Jie, don't be like this. You don't understand my feelings, I..." Bao Ming was genuinely tempted to hug Rao Jie.
But in the next second, someone grabbed his arm with such force that Bao Ming couldn't help but loosen his grip. Rao Jie seized the opportunity to quickly slip out of his control.
When Bao Ming looked up, his expression darkened instantly.
Rao Jie also turned to see who it was, her face lighting up with joy. "Senior!"
Long Yong glanced at Rao Jie with concern before turning to Bao Ming. He tightened his grip and said coldly, "She doesn't want to be close to you. Can't you understand that?"
Although Bao Ming was in pain, he refused to show weakness. "What happens between us is none of your business. You're just an outsider; let go!"
Rao Jie stepped forward and stood beside Long Yong, addressing Bao Ming directly. "You're the outsider! Bao Ming, what do you want? First, you hurt me, and now you want to hurt Jiang Chuchu?"
Bao Ming was infuriated by her words. He still had feelings for Rao Jie and had never denied it; their breakup was forced by circumstances. Shouldn't she be wavering in her heart as his ex-girlfriend? Shouldn't she want him back? Why was she now defending her rival?
Unable to hold back any longer, Bao Ming said, "Rao Jie, I want what's best for you. I can make Jiang Chuchu give up her Graduate School Recommendation spot and give it to you. Isn't that what you want? It doesn't matter if your math exam didn't go well; I can take care of everything!"
Rao Jie was shocked by Bao Ming's proposal; she felt sickened by the fact that she had once dated him.
"What you call 'taking care of everything' is just using that woman who loves you? Making her sacrifice for your vanity? Jiang Chuchu and I are in a fair competition; I don't need your underhanded tactics. I never want to see you again."
Rao Jie tugged at Long Yong's arm and said, "Senior, let's go. There's no point in wasting time with someone like him!"
Once Rao Jie finished speaking, Long Yong finally released Bao Ming. Bao Ming wanted to say something more, but Rao Jie had already turned away and was pulling Long Yong away without looking back.

After walking for a long while, an angry Rao Jie finally came to a stop.
"Don't be angry, it's not worth it. I almost missed you coming out so early. It seems you did well on your exam and finished ahead of time?" Long Yong's gentle voice came from behind.
Rao Jie was taken aback and turned around, only to realize she was still holding onto Long Yong's arm! Her face flushed, and she quickly let go, feeling a bit awkward. "Um, I think it should be fine. I just don't know if anyone in the class did even better."
Long Yong smiled as he withdrew his arm, his expression so tender that it was hard to look directly at him. "Congratulations! You must have secured the top spot."
Rao Jie smiled modestly. "The results aren't out yet, so I can't think too far ahead. But I'll keep studying; after all, there's still the second round of exams to prepare for!"
Long Yong nodded, pleased to see Rao Jie in good spirits. "By the way, since today is an exam day, there's no need to rush into studying again. How about we go out and relax a bit? Let's treat ourselves to a nice meal as a reward!"
