Kyle listened to Diego's explanation, his brow furrowing slightly, feeling that the situation was not as simple as Diego had made it out to be. There was a hint of embarrassment and cunning in Diego's expression, clearly indicating that he was hiding something about the matter.
"So, where is your boat currently being held?" Kyle pressed, needing more information to assess the feasibility of this plan.
Diego scratched his head, seemingly searching for the right words: "Well, my ship is currently being held in the municipal government's warehouse in Core. There are many government personnel guarding it, and the security is very strict. Retrieving the ship won't be an easy task."
Kyle gazed at Diego with a mix of doubt and distrust in his eyes. Diego's words seemed to conceal something, which made Kyle feel uneasy. "Diego, can you tell me more about your ship and the details of why it was impounded? I need to know what kind of trouble I might be getting into."
Diego seemed hesitant, he hesitated for a moment, and then replied, "Well, I admit, my ship is not just for transporting ordinary goods. Sometimes I also transport some... special items. This time I was caught because some of the goods we were carrying were... not entirely legal. But I assure you, these are just minor things, the government just wants to extract some benefits from me."
Kyle's brow furrowed, making him even more uneasy. "So if we go to retrieve your ship, aren't we just helping you transport illegal goods? I don't want to get into deeper trouble because of this."
Diego hurriedly clarified, "No, no, no, young man, you've misunderstood. We're just going to retrieve my boat. The goods have already been confiscated by the government. I just want my boat back so I can continue my business. Of course, I'll also ensure your safety."
Kyle still had some doubts, but he knew he didn't have many choices. "Alright, I'll help you, but I need your promise that this operation won't put me in greater danger."
Diego solemnly replied, "I promise you, I will do everything in my power to protect you. And once the mission is successful, I will help you leave Sunset star and head to the Central Star Region."
Kyle silently considered for a moment and ultimately decided to accept the proposal. After all, in this situation, he needed all the help he could get. "Alright, I accept your proposal. But if anything goes wrong, I will withdraw immediately."
Diego reached out and shook Kyle's hand, saying firmly, "Don't worry, little brother, we will be fine. You are safe with old Diego." Although Kyle still felt uneasy, he knew he had to take this risk.
On the side, Ray Jin suddenly walked up to Kyle and rubbed against him. Kyle gently picked up Ray Jin, feeling the comfort that this little creature provided as it curled up in his arms, purring contentedly. The doubts and unease in Kyle's heart seemed to be somewhat relieved by this small interaction.
Diego saw this scene and a kind smile appeared on his face. "It looks like my little friend also agrees with your decision, Kyle!" Diego said somewhat playfully.
Kyle looked at Ray Jin, trying to find an answer from the eyes of this little creature, but in the end, he only saw a pair of satisfied and trusting eyes. He took a deep breath, decided to let go of his doubts, and wholeheartedly devoted himself to the upcoming plan.
Diego lightly tapped Kyle's shoulder, reminding him to come back to reality. "Alright, Kyle, we better head back to the tavern now and carefully plan how to enter the municipal government's warehouse in Core. This requires careful planning, we can't afford to be careless."
Kyle nodded in agreement. He and Diego walked towards the tavern, filled with complex emotions. He knew that the next actions would be risky, but he also understood that this was his only chance to leave Sunset star. As they reached the threshold of the tavern, Kyle took a deep breath, silently resolving to persevere no matter what happens next.
When Diego and Kyle walked back into the bar, Paul glanced at them with obvious impatience on his face. "What are you two up to again? Haven't had enough to drink?" Paul's voice revealed a hint of annoyance.
Diego, however, didn't mind at all. He wore his usual bright smile and said to Paul, "Oh, Paul, don't worry, we're here for serious business today. Don't worry, we won't drink so wildly again. Come on, prepare two glasses of fruit smoothies for us, with some sunset ginger to give us some energy! And don't forget Ray Jin's milk, serve it in a plate!" Diego's tone carried a hint of playfulness and ease.
Paul apparently felt somewhat helpless about Diego's request, but he had no choice but to shake his head and walk away to prepare the drinks.
Diego sat down at a round table in the corner of the bar with Kyle and Ray Jin. This location was relatively secluded and suitable for discussing important matters. Diego relaxed as he sat down, looking at Kyle and Ray Jin with a hint of seriousness on his face.
"Okay, Kyle, now we can talk properly. I have some initial ideas about how to get into the government's warehouse, but it will require our cooperation and extreme caution. Are you ready to hear me out?" Diego's tone became serious, his eyes shining with the light of a plan.
Kyle nodded, his mood turning serious. He knew that the task at hand would be the key to his departure from Sunset star. He had to focus and listen to Diego's plan.
