A giant python coiled around Tang Jingshu, who had difficulty moving, while Xie Huai trembled in fear on a nearby tree.
Tang Jingshu struggled against the constricting grip of the python, her face turning purple from the pressure. She had regained her senses and was desperately pushing against the massive creature's body, but it was futile. Upon seeing Xu Nuan and the others rushing over, she called out loudly.
"Help me! Everyone, help me!"
"Tang Jingshu, just wait! I'm coming to save you!"
The size of the giant python instilled fear in everyone, but what terrified them even more was the thought of losing a companion. With a puzzled expression on Zhang Xiao's face, the others grabbed their weapons and charged at the massive serpent.
But they were a moment too late. They watched helplessly as Tang Jingshu was swallowed whole by the python, her eyes pleading for help as she looked back at them.
"Ah! I will kill you!"
Surprisingly, Deng Yinyin was the first to snap out of her shock. Brandishing her short knife, she attempted to approach the python, only to be pulled back by Xu Hang, who grabbed her collar.
As she was restrained, Gu Ze and Xu Nuan had already dashed forward.
"You stay here; I'll handle this."
With that calm declaration, Xu Hang rushed out, leaving Deng Yinyin frozen in place, Zhang Xiao who had no intention of moving, and Xie Huai who was slowly sliding down from a tree.
Before Xu Nuan and the others could act upon reaching the python, it seemed to have had its fill. It flicked its tongue and twisted its body, quickly disappearing behind the bushes. By the time they pursued it again, the python had vanished without a trace.
Xu Hang suddenly turned back to look at Zhang Xiao but was startled by Xie Huai, who had just steadied himself.
"Do you know where that python usually gathers?"
Zhang Xiao's response was off-topic. "The pythons in this area are usually in pairs; we can't withstand them."
"Then you do know."
Xu Hang maintained his steady tone. "Tell me."
Zhang Xiao felt helpless. "She is already dead, swallowed whole by the Python. There’s no chance of survival for her. The Python's belly is filled with venom; just a drop on her and she would be doomed. Don't take that risk."
Xu Hang remained silent.
It was a fact that Tang Jingshu was dead.
It was a fact that there were no remains of Tang Jingshu.
They had to accept this reality.
"Why didn’t you protect Tang Jingshu?" In the midst of the silence, Deng Yinyin suddenly lunged at Xie Huai, landing a punch that sent his glasses askew.
"Why were you the only one hiding in the tree? Why didn’t you take Tang Jingshu up with you? You bastard! You’re such a bastard! Wuwu!"
Deng Yinyin continued to hit him, while Xie Huai neither dodged nor explained.
Xu Hang quickly stepped forward to grab Deng Yinyin, his voice low as he suppressed his own emotions.

Xie Huai hiding in the tree was instinctive. In this game, everyone’s greatest asset was their own life. At this moment, questioning whether Xie Huai had abandoned Tang Jingshu from the start or had no choice but to hide alone was pointless.

"Shut up," Xu Nuan suddenly lowered her head, her voice twisted as if it were coming from hell itself.
"This is our decision. Just tell us where Python's Nest is. If you truly are Yaojie's friend, you'll agree."
Zhang Xiao was left speechless, helplessly raising his hands. "Fine, since you're like this, I can only take you there. To prevent Yaojie from having a chance to pressure me, I'll go with you. You can't get into trouble."
Xu Nuan continued to keep her head down, saying nothing.
At that moment, Xie Huai got up from the ground, wiping the blood off his face. He asked Xu Nuan and Gu Ze in a deep voice, "What are you two going to Python's Nest for?"

"I'm not afraid," Deng Yinyin raised her voice, a hint of madness flashing in her eyes. "I want all the animals in the jungle to accompany Tang Jingshu in death."
Zhang Xiao narrowed her already slender eyes, simply nodding without saying a word.
The group got ready, grabbing their backpacks and signaling Zhang Xiao to hurry up.
Deng Yinyin took Tang Jingshu's backpack, while her diary and ring were in Xu Nuan's bag. Xu Nuan reached for the diary but suddenly pulled back.

The group followed Zhang Xiao in a grand procession.
