Xu Nuan's confusion remained unanswered. In the urgent situation, He Min had been in the upper hand, and Guo Dafu and Sun Ming were unable to do anything to her. Yet, for some unknown reason, He Min suddenly revealed a flaw, giving the two Zombies an opportunity.
At that critical moment, it was Chi Xiaoming and Gu Ze who rushed out, pushing Xu Nuan back.
With the addition of these two skilled fighters, subduing Guo Dafu and Sun Ming became an easy task.
He Min approached Xu Nuan, covering her injured left arm with a pained smile, saying nothing.
Silence spoke louder than words. Xu Nuan had been puzzled by He Min's abilities and realized that their relationship had grown distant due to their lack of communication. Now, seeing He Min's silent suffering made her feel guilty and uneasy.
If Guo Dafu and Sun Ming's corpses were to appear, would Yu Hao's and Qin Yaojie's also show up?
The likelihood was high. Even though she had tried to let go, Xu Nuan found it hard to face the corpses calmly when the time came. This shared feeling of despair made her empathize with He Min. Driven by these emotions, Xu Nuan temporarily set aside her doubts.
Meanwhile, Gu Ze and Chi Xiaoming each controlled a Zombie and beckoned the others over.
He Min lagged behind, unnoticed by anyone, as no one turned back to see the smug smile at the corner of her lips. Yet even as she smiled, her body trembled, and her hand covering the wound shook uncontrollably, as if she were frightened.
“How could they come back to life?”
Deng Yinyin exclaimed, refusing to step any closer. Perhaps she felt her own reaction was too exaggerated and sought validation from others. Her gaze swept over the group but found no one to respond. Suddenly, she turned around and looked at He Min, whose expression had not yet returned to normal.
He Min was startled; her expression momentarily slipped out of control. In truth, she was not someone who easily displayed emotions or reacted strongly to her actions. However, on that day when her heart began to crumble, all impossibilities became possible—yet no one noticed.
Deng Yinyin thought she was imagining things. Upon closer inspection, He Min wore her usual expression, seemingly putting on a brave front. Doubting her own perception after Fang Zheng’s lesson, she began to question herself and glanced at Xu Nuan, hesitating whether to find a private moment to speak with her.
What Deng Yinyin failed to see was that as she turned away, He Min's gaze upon her was filled with malice and resentment. A careless act could bring about deadly consequences because no one could gauge how deeply the hearts of those around them had shattered.
"Our opponents have increased."
Xu Hang did not pay much attention to how these Zombies came to be. There were too many unbelievable aspects in this game; if he were to investigate each one, he certainly wouldn't survive long enough to see the end. He was a practical person, and his focus was solely on eliminating the dangers that approached him. Beyond that, he had no interest.
"We need to find their weaknesses; otherwise, we will only let the tiger return to the mountain."
Chi Xiaoming had not communicated much with these two Zombies when they were alive. His thoughts aligned with Liu Minghong's.
However, this left his inner doubts unanswered. If Another Founder had turned these corpses into Zombies due to a lack of manpower to attack them, then that seemed too weak, didn’t it?
Just moments ago, Gu Ze and Chi Xiaoming had easily brought the two Zombies down with just a few moves. Unless there were other traps involved.
Thinking of explosives, Chi Xiaoming looked up and saw that Gu Ze's expression was also serious. The two exchanged a glance and turned past Xu Nuan to look at Liu Minghong.
This was a silent understanding; for the three individuals who played crucial roles in the team, many things did not need to be expressed directly in words.
Liu Minghong shook his head, and Gu Ze and Chi Xiaoming's expressions grew even more serious. They looked down at the two Zombies, hesitation evident on their brows.
Xu Nuan could guess what they were hesitating about, and she was hesitant herself, so she remained silent.
At this moment, Deng Yinyin, who had not received any response and was unaware that she had stirred up a big trouble, voiced everyone's uncertainty.
"So what should we do with them?"
Deng Yinyin spoke to herself, her vision poor in this situation.
"After all, they have already died once. It wasn't us who killed them before, so wouldn't it be better if they just stayed quiet?"

Though Deng Yinyin was straightforward, her words represented the thoughts of the others to some extent; they just weren't as forthright as she was.
Gu Ze and the others exchanged glances, agreeing with Deng Yinyin's approach. However, only a few among them knew about the chips, so they needed to find a way to deal with these two Zombies without having to explain everything.
"I still have some explosives here. Whatever it is, it won't get a chance to settle down."
Liu Minghong casually set down his backpack. When he mentioned explosives, it was as if he were discussing how light the atmosphere was today.
Xu Nuan's expression darkened, and the others felt similarly. Their gazes toward Liu Minghong hinted at jealousy. Compared to their tumultuous journey through the game, Liu Minghong had sailed through without a hitch.

This is what true cheating looks like; they get to experience the game without suffering any harm.
Xu Nuan sincerely hoped she had talent in this field, but under Liu Minghong's guidance, she could only produce a subpar product, which she ended up giving to the Steel-Toothed Crocodile.

Gu Ze glanced at Liu Minghong and sighed inwardly. This team was made up of various eccentric personalities, which explained the constant friction among them.
In the end, Gu Ze and the others set Guo Dafu and Sun Ming ablaze. The mournful cries from the two Zombies sent chills down their spines, as if they were burning living people.
But that was impossible. Whether it was Another Founder or the game System, if they tried to burden them psychologically in such a manner, they would only become more resistant to falling into despair.
As the hundredth level approached, they had to reach the finish line no matter what. Those who couldn't reach it, no matter how many glorious deeds they had accomplished before, would be forgotten like mere grassroot heroes, adding to their regrets.
That night, the cries filled the entire Plateau, causing the animals in the shadows to tremble in fear and not dare to show themselves. Meanwhile, in a corner of the Plateau, a man sat quietly on a hillside, gazing at the moon in the night sky.
The bright moonlight cast soft shadows on his face, and a slight smile played at the corners of his lips, exuding an air of lazy comfort.
Behind him stood a tall man in the woods, silently watching the man on the hillside. His body trembled slightly as if he had seen something terrifying.
The challenges continued atop the Plateau. Xu Nuan had expected to encounter other intact corpses transformed into Zombies and feared seeing several bodies she didn't want to witness. But reality proved her wrong; after that level, they faced more lethal traps and some large ferocious beasts. They were injured to varying degrees but did not suffer from psychological pressure.
Xu Nuan let out a sigh of relief, unaware that Gu Ze, who had been standing protectively behind her, also breathed a sigh of relief.
Chi Xiaoming observed the expressions of these two individuals, and once again, a ripple stirred in his eyes. His face remained calm, but his mind was calculating something else.
Xu Hang and Liu Minghong walked side by side, neither acknowledging the other.
Deng Yinyin walked in the middle of the group, her gaze frequently darting toward He Min, who lagged at the back of the line. Various thoughts churned in her mind, but without a clear source, her heart was in turmoil, unable to organize her thoughts into coherence.
What she didn’t realize was that as her gaze shifted away, He Min was watching her with a deep and contemplative look.
If Deng Yinyin had acted normally and not paid attention to He Min, perhaps He Min wouldn’t have given much thought to their earlier eye contact or considered how to deal with her. However, now Deng Yinyin was exposing herself without realizing it. Without Xie Huai by her side, she had no one to consult with. Given her current strength, she was vulnerable to being taken advantage of, especially since she possessed an enviable Tail Ring.
The Survival Game following the Plateau was largely similar; it required effort and mental strain while demanding high levels of skill and experience from everyone involved.
Xu Nuan was tirelessly trying to recover, making sure not to hold Gu Ze back. Although the results were not immediately evident, they were ultimately moving in a positive direction. Gu Ze was the one who needed both brains and brawn; he ventured out more frequently at night and drew more attention away from them.
Despite every move being under scrutiny, he had the confidence to see his plans through.
Xu Nuan supported him with her actions while Xu Hang, Chi Xiaoming, and Liu Minghong assisted him in other ways.
Through this stumbling journey filled with pain and scars, they finally arrived at the Eightieth Level: Greedy Forest.
