As the tires rolled lightly on the dilapidated streets left behind by the apocalypse, Jack pedaled his bicycle steadfastly along the northeast route. Along the way, he decided to take a detour and arrived at the underground shelter located in the park. This shelter had once been his temporary refuge, but now, the gate remained tightly closed, silent and seemingly isolated from the world. 0

Standing in front of the shelter's entrance, Jack's emotions were complex and indescribable. He couldn't help but wonder how the people who had once endured hardship with him were faring beneath that closed gate. Since being manipulated by Bruce's conspiracy and forced to leave this place that should have provided refuge, Jack had been filled with anger and helplessness. However, even though he harbored anger towards Bruce and those who had treated him unfairly, he had no intention of cursing every person here. After all, during that time, the shelter had also given him a shred of comfort and hope, albeit brief and fragile. 0

Jack knows deeply that in this apocalyptic world, everyone is struggling for survival, and each person's choices and actions carry their own hardships and helplessness. Perhaps, those who have treated him unfairly also have their own difficulties and struggles. At this moment, Jack carries not only anger in his heart, but also a profound understanding and sympathy for human nature. 0

In the end, Jack chose to let go of the resentment in his heart and continued pedaling his bicycle forward. 0

Just as Jack was about to pedal forward on his bicycle, his gaze inadvertently swept towards the corner of the shelter's entrance. There, a body sat against the wall, exuding an indescribable sense of loneliness and despair. The body was clad in the purple uniform of the shelter, a distinctive attire for its members, still vivid amidst the ashes of the apocalypse. What was even more heart-wrenching was the shattered pair of glasses scattered next to the body, through which the helplessness and pain of its former owner seemed to be palpable. 0

Although the face of the body had become unrecognizable due to time and the desolate environment, Jack had a gut feeling that it was their former shelter leader - Adam. 0

Standing in front of the shelter, Jack felt extremely heavy-hearted. He remembered Adam, the former leader of the shelter, a gentle and idealistic person. Adam always hoped to find a glimmer of humanity in the apocalypse, striving to maintain order and harmony within the shelter and protect every evacuee. However, this gentleness and idealism seemed particularly fragile in the face of the brutal reality of the apocalypse. 0

In the eyes of Bruce and his ambitious followers, Adam's idealism became a stumbling block to their power grab. Jack couldn't help but speculate that Adam likely fell victim to Bruce and others' conspiracy, ultimately suffering the same fate as himself—ruthless expulsion. This betrayal and indifference not only destroyed someone who hoped to uphold the brightness of humanity, but also deprived the shelter of a true leader who cared about the well-being of the evacuees. 0

Standing in front of Adam's body, Jack felt a mix of anger and sadness, but more so a deep sympathy and respect for Adam. In this world full of betrayal and conspiracy, Adam still held onto his ideals and beliefs, even at the cost of his life. Jack knew deeply that survival in this apocalyptic world was not just about resources, but also a test of humanity. 0

Jack was filled with worry about the possible situation of the shelter after Bruce seized power. He couldn't help but imagine that the place which was once the hope for many people's survival might have now turned into a lawless land, a paradise for Bruce and his associates to run amok. Under such rule, what would become of the innocent refugees? Just the thought of it weighed heavily on Jack's heart. 0

However, Jack knew that he was powerless to change what had already happened. The only thing he could do was to do his best and express his final respect and mourning for Adam, the former leader. So, he decided to quietly bury Adam's broken body, at least in this apocalyptic world, to give him a place of rest where he would no longer be harmed. 0

Jack carefully dug the ground and gently placed Adam's body inside, then covered it with each shovelful of earth. Each shovelful of earth was not only a burial for Adam's body, but also a deep tribute to his ideals and beliefs. After the burial was completed, Jack stood in front of the grave, silently praying in his heart, hoping that Adam could find the peace and tranquility he had longed for in another world. 0

After completing all of this, Jack took a deep breath, his heart filled with complex emotions. He didn't want to dwell on the current situation of the shelter anymore. He turned and stepped onto his bicycle, continuing his unfinished journey. Although he felt anger and helplessness towards Bruce and the land, Jack knew that the road ahead was still long. He had to let go of these feelings and focus on surviving, searching for the place called Paradise Town. 0

As Jack pedaled his bicycle, he and Ah Mao and the other dogs slowly moved forward from the ruins in front of the shelter. Every push of the pedal seemed to be taking them away from the shadows of the past, towards an unknown but hopeful future. In the dust of this post-apocalyptic world, Jack silently prayed, hoping that the so-called Paradise Town could truly live up to its name and become a beautiful sanctuary for humanity to continue and thrive in this end of days. 0

His heart is filled with anticipation for the future, hoping to find a true haven in that place, a place without strife and betrayal, only peace and hope. A place where he and his faithful companions can live in peace and rebuild their home. 0

Ah Mao and the other dogs follow closely, leaving a trail of determined footprints in the dust. They may not understand all of Jack's hopes and dreams, but they follow Jack in the most sincere way, facing the unknown together. Upon this wasteland, Jack and his dogs are like travelers seeking light in the darkness, continuing forward no matter how difficult the road ahead may be. 0
