"Yanyan," Yang Fengping said, holding Zhou Yan's hand. "Mom knows that having a child at this time isn't really appropriate."
"But I really want another one," she continued. "You know I've always wanted a son."
"I've thought about it for a long time, and I've decided to go through with it."
"If you disagree, then just pretend I’m not your mother," she added, wiping away her tears.

"Good," Yang Fengping said with a smile. "If you agree, I’ll transfer the shop downstairs to you."
"Really?" Zhou Yan's eyes lit up.
There was a shop downstairs in a bustling area that had been doing very well, and Zhou Yan had been eyeing it for quite some time.
"Of course it's true," Yang Fengping replied with a grin. "If you don’t agree, then I won’t keep this baby."
"Don’t say that," Zhou Yan insisted, squeezing Yang Fengping's hand. "I agree."
And just like that, Yang Fengping became a mother once again. As for me, I became the busiest person in the family.
Every day is a whirlwind of activity. Looking back, I feel like I've become a free babysitter for their family. Finally, I moved into our new home with Fei Fei.
Fei Fei cheered and jumped around in the new house. "This is great, Dad! We have a home now."
"Yes," I replied, holding her close. "From now on, this will be our home."
That evening, I sent a message to my boss, requesting a transfer. I was changing from a Customer Service Manager to a Sales Representative. Although it would be tough, the income would be higher. I wanted to fight for myself and for Fei Fei.
It has been two months since we moved out, and I feel energized every day, filled with anticipation for the future. Each day consists of going to work, coming home, and taking care of Fei Fei. I gradually got used to it, even becoming quite adept at managing everything.
Zhou Yan hasn't come to see Fei Fei. She seems certain that I will return. I wonder, if this is how Zhou Yan is in our marriage, then why did I marry her in the first place?
We've been married for three years without children. It's not that I don't want them; it's that she refuses. She always says that she's too busy with work and that it's not the right time for kids. I disagree. I believe in establishing a family before pursuing a career. We've already built a family; we should have a child. She insists that we can have kids, but only after she reaches a managerial position.
But she has reached the position of supervisor and now demands to be a manager. She keeps getting promoted while I see no hope for our child. Whenever she doesn't receive her bonus, she takes it out on me. If she faces difficulties at work, she also vents her frustrations on me. When she's unhappy outside, I become her target for anger. I wonder, what am I? Am I just a container? A vessel that can only endure and cannot resist?
When she's happy, she pats my head. When she's upset, she kicks me. What do I mean to her? Am I just a dog? But even dogs have thoughts and feelings. She never cares about my opinions or my feelings. When she's sad, I comfort her. When she's down, I encourage her. When she cries in front of me, my heart aches for her. Yet, in my moments of need, she has never offered me comfort or support.
She only echoes Yang Fengping when he criticizes me. She remains silent when Zhou Huaishan scolds me. She spends my hard-earned money on the Zhou Family. The clothes she buys for Fei Fei are always last season's outdated styles. The clothes she gets for me are always discounted clearance items.
