The burly man at the front sneered, looking at Tong Ming.
"Where's the money?"

The man's expression darkened.

"Yes." I nodded, meeting his gaze. "The matter between Tong Ming and me, I want to handle it myself."
"I don't want to rely on anyone else," I added. "And I definitely don't want you to get your hands dirty because of me."
Lin Mingyuan smiled. His eyes sparkled, and his smile was warm. "Alright."
"I'll wait for you," he said.
I looked at Lin Mingyuan, a bittersweet feeling swelling in my heart. Wait for what? I didn't know. All I knew was that what I needed to do now was to completely sever ties with Tong Ming.
A few days later, I received news from the people watching Tong Ming.
Tong Ming had actually paid off the debt.
I was puzzled. Where did Tong Ming get the money?
