A Head appeared on the street, causing a visible commotion. 0

Half an hour later, a group of people rushed out, shouting, "The shot just now was perfect; we got it!" 0

At that moment, people realized that everything that had happened earlier was part of a movie shoot. A person claiming to be the director said they were filming a horror movie, but unexpectedly, a dog had brought out the fake Head. However, the director quickly thought it would be better to capture people's genuine reactions. Everyone suddenly understood; it was just a false alarm. 0

In reality, these people were merely actors arranged by Captain Shao. 0

Meanwhile, the real Head that the dog had picked up was currently placed in the Autopsy Room. 0

I looked at the girl in front of me; she seemed to be around eighteen or nineteen years old, with short hair that highlighted her competence. However, in terms of figure, she was flat-chested, which was a pity for such a pretty face. According to Captain Shao, she was a forensic student still in medical school; I had no idea how she ended up here. 0

But thinking about it, Gu Chen and I were in similar situations. I was a police officer who could never get promoted, while Gu Chen belonged to the reserve team. However, once they caught Zhao Mingkun, those two would likely get promoted directly. As for me, where would I go? It truly was a sad question. 0

"Can you not be such a pervert? Your eyes are about to fall into her chest," Gu Chen whispered to me. "If I were you, I'd knock you out." 0

"I say, you’re quite interesting. There’s a beauty here and you’re not looking at her; instead, you're paying attention to me. You’re not trying to hit on me, are you?" I retorted. "Besides, do you even see any curves on her?" 0

Guan Zengbin's autopsy knife trembled slightly in her hand, but she remained silent and continued with the Autopsy. 0

I continued, "But she does look quite good; I think she's suitable for you. Your chest is bigger than hers!" 0

Before Gu Chen could react, Guan Zengbin pointed her scalpel at me: "If you say another word, I'll make sure you can't be a man anymore!" 0

With that, she glanced at my groin. 0

Gu Chen shrugged and made a chopping motion. 0

I quickly adopted a defensive stance. 0

Finally, an autopsy of the head was completed. 0

"Do you know how this woman died?" I asked. 0

Guan Zengbin looked at me as if I were an idiot. She slowly removed her gloves before saying, "Just because the hair is long, you think it's a woman? Are you a police officer? Who told you this skull belongs to a woman? It's obviously a man's skull." 0

"A man?" I could hardly believe my ears. I had indeed only seen long hair at first, but later, when wrapping the skull, I had clearly seen the person's face, which was unmistakably that of a woman. How could Guan Zengbin claim it was a male skull? 0

Guan Zengbin snorted. "Preconceived notions." 0

Then our forensic expert rolled her eyes at me and continued, "Compared to women, men have larger skulls, larger cranial cavities, lower eye sockets, and jaw angles less than one hundred twenty degrees. The most important point is that the external occipital protuberance of a male skull is quite pronounced." 0

As she spoke, Guan Zengbin picked up the skull. 0

"Touch it!" 0

I placed my hand on Guan Zengbin's face. 0

"I meant for you to touch the external occipital protuberance of the skull, which is the back of the head. Why are you touching my face?" Guan Zengbin shouted. 0

Both Gu Chen and I reached out to touch it. 0

"Compare yourself to this!" Guan Zengbin continued. 0

I touched the back of my head and indeed felt the so-called external occipital protuberance. 0

I never expected that this skull belonged to a male, but looking at the features, it really resembled a woman's. Could it be that he had undergone plastic surgery? Or did he simply look like a woman? 0

"In this day and age, men look like women, and women are as fierce as men," I shook my head and said. 0

Guan Zengbin blinked at me and then said, "Very well, you've successfully caught my attention... The reason he looks like a woman is that he had plastic surgery. Moreover, it should have been done not long ago, but even so, it doesn't change the fact that he is a man." 0

The autopsy report soon came out. However, with just a skull, many aspects could not be definitively concluded. For instance, how the deceased died or the exact time of death. But some details could confirm that the indentation on the skull was post-mortem. 0

Thus, my inference should be correct: last night, Old Zhang kicked over the barrel containing the skull, causing it to roll down from the fifteenth floor, and today it was retrieved by a stray dog. So far, this was the only clue we had. The urgent task now was to find that young man from last night. 0

The three of us went to Captain Shao's office, where Captain Shao was currently enjoying chilled watermelon with Mary Xiao Liu. 0

"You three have quite an appetite," I said slowly. 0

"What’s wrong?" Mary asked. "I heard you had a case this morning." 0

I nodded and took out several photos to hand to Mary. "Take a look at this..." 0

Mary recoiled in disgust. 0

Captain Shao said, "Since this case has been assigned to you, you’re in charge. By the way, all three people for the pursuit plan have gathered." 0

"Her?" 0

"Him!" 0

Both Guan Zengbin and I said at the same time. 0

"What time did the victim die?" I asked Guan Zengbin. "Even if you can't be precise, there should at least be a rough estimate." 0

Guan Zengbin nodded and replied, "It was probably between eleven last night and one this morning." 0

"You can't be that incompetent, can you?" I asked almost instinctively after hearing his words. 0

"Believe it or not," Guan Zengbin said. 0

Gu Chen looked at Guan Zengbin with a surprised expression. 0

Could it be that we encountered a ghost? 0

Old Zhang had mentioned that he discovered the thief around ten o'clock. However, logically speaking, by that time, the murderer who had the head must have already been on the fifteenth floor and started writing blood characters. Yet, Guan Zengbin claimed that the head died after eleven. 0

Analyzing this point, it seemed that the murderer went upstairs after Old Zhang spotted the thief and committed the murder. 0

But Old Zhang only stepped back a few meters before deciding to go upstairs to take a look, which didn't take much time at all. How could the murderer kill someone and write something in such a short span of time? And where did the body of the head go? It would take Old Zhang at least half an hour to walk from the first floor to the fifteenth floor. 0

In just half an hour, could the murderer really kill someone, compose poetry with a severed head, and then carry the body away from the scene? 0

If the Murderer carried the body to the Sixth Floor and left only after Old Zhang had gone, that is certainly a possibility. However, this raises a question: how did the Murderer get upstairs after Old Zhang discovered the thief? 0

There is only one possibility: the Murderer went upstairs before the thief and controlled the Victim, beginning the murder after eleven o'clock. But what was the Murderer's motive for doing this? Was there some special purpose behind it? 0

Regardless of which theory holds true, the Murderer must have left after Old Zhang went downstairs. Yet, on every floor up to the fifteenth, Old Zhang had shone his flashlight around and found no other traces. This means the Murderer must have been hiding above the fifteenth floor. If we go check now, we should still be able to find clues. 0

Of course, all of this hinges on Guan Zengbin's Autopsy results being accurate. 0

However, seeing Guan Zengbin's confident demeanor, I felt it would be unwise to press further. 0

"Let's go!" I said to the two of them. 0

"What for?" Guan Zengbin asked. 0

"To look for clues about the Murderer." 0

Before starting the crime simulation, I carefully observed the building's conditions. The Murderer couldn't have scaled walls or jumped down from above; my previous analysis seemed to be the only explanation. 0

"Gu Chen, check from the first floor to the thirtieth floor for any additional traces. Guan Zengbin, compare the blood from the fifteenth floor with that from the head; see if they belong to the same person." I assigned tasks to both of them. 0

"And you?" they asked. 0

I smiled and replied, "I'll be in charge of daydreaming." 0

I closed my eyes, tugging at my hair as I pondered over everything. 0

If I were the Murderer, what exactly would I do? I love her, so I must kill her. Once there was Eternal Love, once there were Oaths of Eternal Love, once The Sea Is Difficult to Turn into Water; in the face of time, they are nothing but lies. I love him, so I became her. The most romantic love I can think of is gradually turning myself into you. 0

I want to wear the dress you loved, I want to adorn myself with the jewelry you cherished, I want to shape my face to resemble yours, and even, I could change my gender to match yours. I fear losing you, so I must kill you while I still possess you; that way, I will never have to fear that you will leave. 0

There is a place where this can be done. 0

Two hours later. 0

Gu Chen rushed down from upstairs. This guy could run thirty floors without breaking a sweat; truly a beast. He said, "No, there are bloodstains only on the fifteenth floor; the other floors are clean." 0

How did the Murderer manage this? It’s like a locked room; although there are openings all around, it is still the fifteenth floor. Where could the Murderer have hidden to avoid Old Zhang discovering the body? And why was there not a single drop of blood left behind? 0

Guan Zengbin said, "I just checked; there are no traces of Lumino photochemical reactions, which means there really is no blood on the other floors. The blood on the fifteenth floor matches that of the head, indicating that the blood on the wall was indeed written with the victim's blood." 0

After a pause, Guan Zengbin continued, "From the shape of the letters, it seems that the Murderer held the victim by the neck and used their head to write with the blood. There is an overwhelming amount of blood on the floor; it has almost turned red. However, there appear to be signs of a large amount of blood spraying around; this should be the primary scene." 0

Strange; this case is inexplicably bizarre. 0

"What should we do next?" Gu Chen asked me with a furrowed brow. 0

"I'll take you to a place." 0
