Saul's words once again attracted everyone's attention. He stood there with his four muscular arms crossed over his chest, a hint of pride on his face.
"I've already contacted my friend on Obidus Prime, and he said there's some useful information over there," Saul said with a hint of satisfaction in his voice, seemingly pleased to provide this important information.
Aidan heard this and couldn't help but raise one eyebrow, half-jokingly saying, "Oh! Quite impressive, aren't you Saul? You really are a resourceful fellow." His tone carried a hint of teasing, but his eyes revealed admiration for Saul.
Saul heard this and his lips curled up slightly, showing a hint of a smug smile. His four hands remained crossed in front of his chest, displaying his arrogant attitude. His demeanor seemed to say, "See, I always find a way."
Violet listened quietly, her eyes revealing a hint of curiosity and contemplation. Her clear gaze fixed on Saul as she softly asked, "Which friend is it this time? Your network on Obidux is truly extensive."
Upon hearing Violet's question, Saul smiled and replied, "It's Lao Zhou, the one who helped us with the job before. He's quite well-connected in the information circles on Obidux and knows everything about what's going on over there."
Aidan and Lina exchanged a knowing smile as they locked eyes. They both remembered the information provided by Old Zhou that had helped them successfully complete a tricky mission. This time, obtaining information about the Forgotten City from Old Zhou would undoubtedly greatly benefit their exploration journey.
When Violet heard Old Zhou's name, a hint of displeasure flashed across her face, as if she didn't care for the person behind the name. She lightly furrowed her brow and said with a hint of disdain, "You mean that annoying lizard person?"
Saul heard Violet describe Lao Zhou in this way, and immediately retorted with a hint of dissatisfaction in his tone: "Hey! He's not a lizard person, Lao Zhou is a half-lizard person! You have to be clear about that!" Saul had a determined look on his face as he defended his friend, seemingly displeased with Violet's assessment.
Violet, upon hearing this, did not seem to be moved by Saul's defense. She maintained a disdainful expression on her face and replied, "It's all the same." Her tone was full of contempt for this mixed-race of Lao Zhou.
Aidan and Lina exchanged a smile, seemingly finding the little dispute between Saul and Violet somewhat amusing. Aidan shook his head, trying to diffuse the delicate atmosphere, and jokingly said, "Alright, alright, whether he's a lizard person or a half-lizard person, as long as he can provide us with useful information, he's a good friend, right?"
Upon hearing Aidan's words, Saul showed a satisfied smile and nodded. Violet, on the other hand, sighed, evidently not very interested in the topic. She took another sip of her floral tea and continued to sit quietly, lost in her own thoughts.
Violet gently set down the flower tea in her cup, her brow slightly furrowed and her expression somewhat complex. Her gaze shifted between Aidan and Saul, as if weighing how to express her feelings about Lao Zhou. "I've always had mixed feelings about Lao Zhou. His constant scheming makes me uneasy. I always feel like he knows more than he lets on." Violet's voice carried a hint of caution, as if warning everyone that Lao Zhou might not just be a simple source of information.
Lina, despite just waking up and looking a bit tired, seemed somewhat dismissive of Violet's suspicions. "Lao Zhou is a good person. His cooking is really good too. At least every time we go to his place, he treats us to delicious food," Lina said with a slight smile, as if recalling many pleasant memories of Lao Zhou.
Saul has a more direct and enthusiastic evaluation of Lao Zhou. "Speaking of which, Lao Zhou's assorted fried rice is really amazing. Every time I eat it, I feel much more energetic." At this point, Saul's expression becomes excited, seemingly filled with nostalgia for that meal.
Aidan, on the other hand, approaches this topic more cautiously. His expression appears more serious: "Lao Zhou may be a good chef and a reliable source of information, but we still need to remain vigilant. We can't completely trust him just because his food is delicious. After all, we are dealing with something out of the ordinary." Aidan's tone reveals a sense of leadership responsibility and concern for the team's safety.
Violet nodded in agreement with Aidan's opinion, while also expressing deep distrust of Lao Zhou. Her eyes were full of vigilance and contemplation. Lina and Saul also seemed to be influenced by Aidan's words, beginning to think more seriously about the information regarding Lao Zhou and their upcoming trip to the planet Obidus. Aidan lightly tapped the table and asked Saul, "So, how did Lao Zhou talk to you?"
Saul replied, "Lao Zhou said to meet at the usual place, and we'll talk in detail when we meet." Aidan said, "Lao Zhou's restaurant?" Saul nodded. Aidan's brow furrowed slightly, and he stared sharply at Saul. "I see. It seems that Lao Zhou does indeed have some valuable information in his hands." His voice revealed a hint of anticipation and doubt.
Saul nodded and responded, "Yes, Lao Zhou was very serious this time. He said that the secret of Kaplan Star is being widely spread throughout the interstellar route. He seems worried and doesn't want to reveal too much in our communication." Saul's voice carried a sense of certainty, indicating that he highly valued Lao Zhou's information.
Violet expressed some doubt, saying, "The whole route is talking about it? It feels a bit unusual. Why would this news suddenly become so popular?" Her eyes revealed a sense of wariness towards this unexpected news.
Lina seemed somewhat dissatisfied, "How come I didn't hear about this news? I searched the entire internet last night." Her tone carried a hint of frustration, seemingly unhappy with herself for not finding relevant information.
Aidan pondered for a moment, then said, "Regardless, meeting with Old Zhou seems to be our best option at the moment. We need more information to decide our next steps." His voice was decisive, showing his determination as a leader.
Saul nodded in agreement, and both Lina and Violet did not oppose. The four of them all looked at Aidan, waiting for his final decision. Aidan's gaze was firm; he knew that in this interstellar journey full of unknowns and dangers, every decision was crucial.
