My partner and I shared a deep bond. On our wedding anniversary, he prepared a surprise for me. He had an antique collection worth five million. He intended to give the money to his first love and divorce me, leaving me with nothing. 0

In the spirit of reciprocity, I also prepared a surprise for him. The person who collected the antiques was a decoy I had hired. The so-called antiques were actually replicas I had purchased. 0

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary at a restaurant with the whole family. Just as my partner asked me to serve him some food, I threw my chopsticks directly at him. 0

He exploded in anger: "You old hag! It’s just asking you to serve some food, why throw chopsticks? All you do is ruin the mood!" 0

"Dad has a weak heart; he just got out of the hospital and can't handle stress," my son chimed in, scolding me. 0

"Mom, can’t you be a bit nicer to Dad?" 0

"We’ve been married for so many years; what’s there to argue about?" my daughter-in-law added, trying to mediate. "Mom, just say a little less today. It’s your wedding anniversary; it’s rare for the family to be together, so we should be happy." 0

I quietly watched them exchange words. This was the first time I had taken such a stance. 0

"What exactly do you want? Don’t put on that face here; if you don’t clarify things today, you’ll regret it!" My partner's voice was firm and unyielding. 0

I pulled something out of my pocket and placed it on the table. The entire family froze—wasn’t that my partner's smartphone? 0

This was something my partner bought a few years ago, costing several thousand dollars. Our standard of living allows us to buy several smartphones without a second thought. Yet, this was my partner's most treasured possession, rarely leaving their side. 0

My partner frowned and asked, "What are you doing? Why are you casually taking my phone?" I remained silent and tapped the screen. Immediately, a voice recording from my partner with a man played. 0

"Is everything you said true?" 0
"Of course, the antiques you've collected are worth five million to someone." 0
"Alright, wait for me. I'll bring them over in a couple of days." 0

After hearing this recording, the entire family was stunned. My partner actually collected antiques, and they were worth that much? 0

"Mom, can you play the next voice message to see if it's real?" My son and daughter-in-law were eager to know more. I glanced at my partner, whose face was as dark as water, and suddenly felt a sense of satisfaction. 0

I opened another voice message, and a woman's voice came through. 0
"Are you kidding me? Didn't you say you'd give me a million for that antique?" 0

It was the voice of my partner's beloved. 0
"Don't rush me; I'm just looking for the right opportunity." 0
"Once I find a chance to sell this antique, I'll divorce her, and we can be together. She won't get a penny." 0

The conversation between my partner and another woman shocked everyone present. They couldn't fathom that the person who had been by my side every day, claiming to love me deeply, could be like this. Only I knew that my partner had always been this way. 0

"Do you think this is fair to my mom?" the son asked, his eyes red. 0

The old partner remained silent, as he always did—avoiding confrontation whenever a problem arose. I looked at him and let out a cold laugh, pulling out another phone from my pocket. 0

"All these years I've been with you, how much have I endured? And in the end, this is how you repay me!" I opened the voice messages on my phone, and our past conversations filled the air. 0

"Wife, I'm hungry. Don't wander around outside; come back and cook for me." 0
"Wife, I'm sick. Don't go to work; come back and take care of me." 0
"Wife, my heart doesn't feel right; hurry and take me to the hospital." 0
... 0

Through all the storms we've weathered together, he had fallen ill countless times, and each time I rushed around, caring for him with utmost dedication. But what did I get in return? His heartless abandonment. 0

In the recordings, my voice trembled with emotion while his sounded impatient. 0
"Why are you so nagging? When I call you 'wife,' it's out of respect; otherwise, you'd have been kicked out long ago." 0
"Don't push your luck; I've had enough of you." 0

After listening to those messages, both my son and daughter-in-law lowered their heads. They had always known about their father's character but chose to turn a blind eye. 0

I decided not to engage in further arguments with him and went straight home. I knew him too well; when faced with me, he would always resort to muddling through. 0
