I poked my head out from under the covers, my hair a tangled mess.
"Mother-in-law."
I smiled at her.
Her heart softened, and she pulled me and the blanket into her embrace.
"Are you hungry? What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you."
Mother-in-law was always so gentle and considerate, making me instinctively want to get closer to her.

"Alright, you eat first. Mother-in-law needs to handle some matters."
"Okay."
Mother-in-law stood up and left.
After she walked out, Aunt Zhang came in.
"Madam, are you alright?"
I shook my head. "I'm fine, Aunt Zhang. Please sit down; I have something to discuss with you."
Aunt Zhang sat beside me.
"Madam, what is it?"
I leaned closer to Aunt Zhang and whispered a few words in her ear.
Aunt Zhang's expression changed. "Madam, can this... really work?"
I nodded. "No problem. Just do as I say."
"Yes, Madam."
Aunt Zhang responded and got up to leave.
I knew that Mother-in-law would definitely deal with Gu Yu.
