"What... what is going on?!" The Emperor exclaimed in shock. 0
Jiang Yao panicked, "I don't know, Your Majesty!" 0
"National Master, you speak!" The Emperor glared at the National Master in anger. 0
"This... this..." The National Master stammered. 0
"Speak quickly!" The Emperor kicked out in frustration. 0
"It might be... a curse..." The National Master said tremulously. 0
"A curse?!" The Emperor was taken aback, then erupted in fury, "Who dares to curse the Crown Prince?!" 0
"It was her!" Jiang Yao pointed at me, "Your Majesty, it must be her!" 0
The Emperor turned to me, enraged, "You dare to curse the Crown Prince?!" 0
Before I could respond, the Emperor slapped me to the ground. 0
My forehead was injured, blood streaming down. 0
In front of everyone, I looked utterly disheveled. 0
I covered my forehead, a flash of humiliation crossing my eyes. 0
I lowered my head to hide the hatred within. 0
"Seize this wretch and drag her away..." the Emperor commanded angrily. 0
"Your Majesty, you truly are foolish; how could you believe this is all the doing of a mere concubine?" A mocking voice rang out. 0
Everyone turned to see it was the Southern King. 0
"Southern King, what do you mean by that?!" The Emperor gritted his teeth. 0
"I merely advise you not to take only one side's word for it; be careful or the Crown Prince might not even know how he met his end!" The Southern King crossed his arms with a playful expression. 0
"You—" The Emperor's chest heaved in anger. 0
"Your Highness, I apologize for my tardiness," the Grand Master of the Southern Kingdom finally spoke up. 0

He stroked his white beard and smiled, saying, "Northern Kingdom Ruler, you have killed countless people in your youth and are cursed by resentment, so you are destined to have no heirs." 0
"And this prince, who originally had a sister to support him, but..." 0
"The Divine Maiden is dead, and the prince cannot survive either." 0
The emperor was half-convinced by the Southern Kingdom Sage's words: "Don't talk nonsense here, or I'll have you executed!" 0
"Believe it or not," the Southern Kingdom Sage replied with a smile. 0
The crowd from the Southern Kingdom began to murmur among themselves. 0
"That's right, that's right! The National Master is indeed very powerful!" 0
"He knows when people are born, when they die, where they die, and how they die!" 0
"Stop talking nonsense!" Jiang Yao suddenly shouted loudly, "How could she possibly give birth to a Divine Maiden?!" 0
Everyone turned to look at her, seeing her expression frenzied, resembling a madwoman. 0
"Empress, why are you so agitated?" the Southern King laughed. "Do you think she is more fortunate than you?" 0
Jiang Yao wanted to say something more but heard the emperor say, "Since she can give birth to a Divine Maiden, she should also be able to bear for me a Divine Child. Someone, quickly release Yu'er." 0
"Your Majesty..." Jiang Yao looked at the emperor in disbelief. "Don't listen to slander!" 0
"Shut up!" the emperor scolded sharply. 0
Jiang Yao's chest heaved with anger. 0
I lowered my head to hide the coldness in my eyes. 0
As expected, the emperor was this kind of person. He favored whoever was useful to him. 0
"However..." the emperor hesitated for a moment. "When will this Divine Child be born?" 0
"This..." the Southern Kingdom Sage also found himself in a difficult position. 0
"Your Majesty, since the prince cannot survive past his first year, why not make Consort Yu the empress?" 0
The emperor's eyes lit up: "Right!" 0
He looked at me with increasing satisfaction. 0

"No!" Jiang Yao screamed as she lunged forward, grabbing the Emperor. "Your Majesty, you said I am the only Empress!" 0

"Impudent!" the Emperor shouted angrily. "What are you doing?!" 0

"Your Majesty, you promised I could be the Empress, you said so..." Jiang Yao threw herself on the ground, throwing a tantrum. 0

"Enough!" The Emperor impatiently pushed her away. "Empress, you are forcing my hand!" 0

Jiang Yao fell to the ground, her eyes filled with unwillingness. 0
