The scorching breath brushed against my face, and my heart raced uncontrollably. This face was so handsome that it could provoke envy from both gods and men. At such a close distance, it was impossible not to feel my heart flutter. 0

Moreover, he was a ghost, exuding a power that was enough to intimidate me. 0

"Have you made your decision?" 0

His fingertip merely grazed my clothing, yet the buttons on my shirt seemed to open on their own. 0

Chu Fan raised an eyebrow and smirked, "Though small, the sensation is quite nice. Let me help you with that." 0

"Don't! Pervert!" 0

I clutched his restless hand tightly with both of mine, but I dared not move too much. The sensation below made my spine tense up so much that I didn't even realize I had placed his hand against my chest. 0

Chu Fan smiled and remained still. "Your answer." 0

"You... you're a ghost. What do you want me to do?" I stammered, "No, wait. What can I do for you? What is your purpose in occupying Chu Fan's body?" 0

"Purpose." Chu Fan's eyes were an intense black. I couldn't tell if it was an illusion caused by the ghost inhabiting him, but those eyes seemed to hold the depths of hell itself, devoid of any light. "It's still all for you." 0

"For me?" I was utterly bewildered. 0

He nodded seriously, his eyes narrowing into a smile. "You are my wife. After fulfilling your earthly wishes, you will accompany me into hell for eternity. So for now, I will stay with you." 0

I widened my eyes in shock. So that was his intention. However, when he mentioned eternal damnation, a strange glimmer flashed in his eyes, too quick to grasp, leaving a sharp pain in my heart before it vanished. 0

"I refuse! Why should I marry you? Why should I accompany you to death? I want to live well and grow old slowly." 0

"Impossible." At that moment, Chu Fan's phone suddenly rang. He frowned slightly but continued speaking, "You will only ever belong to me in this lifetime." 0

After saying that, he released me and walked away to answer the call. I sat up on the bed, buttoning my clothes, glaring at his tall figure with increasing anger. 0

"Chu Fan, I absolutely refuse to accompany you to hell! No!" 0

I threw a pillow from the bed at his back. It was as if he had eyes behind him; he effortlessly caught it with one hand before finishing his call and walking back toward me. 0

I instinctively backed away, wary. 0

"What... what are you going to do?" 0

Chu Fan lunged at me again but merely lifted my chin with one hand, narrowing his eyes with a strange smile. "From now on, call me Jun Chong in private. I am not Chu Fan!" 0

I was taken aback as he released me and shook his short hair with ease. "I have matters to attend to in the next few days. Stay put for me; after all, you can't escape. Lin You is quite the good friend!" 0

With that cryptic remark, he left. I trembled with anger; he had threatened me with Lin You last time as well, and now he was doing it again. He was certain I wouldn't dare resist—and in reality, he was right. 0

Tears streamed down my face uncontrollably. I knew I shouldn't be crying, but what else could I do? 0

As I cried, I eventually fell asleep. When I woke up later that night, my stomach growled with hunger, so I went to the kitchen to cook some noodles. 0

I carried the bowl of noodles into the living room and turned back to grab some water. As I walked past the decorative mirror in the living room, I thought I saw a woman in white behind me, so I stopped in my tracks. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was just the curtain over there. 0

It shouldn't have been a big deal, but I was still startled because the reflection of my face in the mirror was gone, replaced by the face of a strange woman. 0

"Must have seen it wrong," I murmured to myself. I stepped closer to take a better look and found my own face staring back at me. "I must be too tired; that's why I'm seeing things." 0

I reassured myself like this, ate my noodles, spent some time online, and after washing up, I went to bed. 0
