"Mom, I will make you proud. I'm not an annoying, foolish child. I just haven't had access to these things before, but I promise I will study hard from now on." 0

I felt the person holding me stiffen for a few seconds, then gently patted my back and said softly, "My Yingying could never be a country bumpkin; it's all my fault." 0

I then lifted my head to look at the stunned woman over there and shouted sternly, "Tingting, apologize to your sister!" 0

"I won't!" 0

The girl huffed coldly, trying to pull me out of my mother's embrace. 0

Then Song Qing directly grabbed her outstretched hand and said, "Liu Tingting, have you had enough of this?" 0

Tingting froze at the shout, her face paling as she looked at Song Qing. "Mom, you're yelling at me for this woman! Fine, fine! You two are a family now; I'm just the extra one. If I leave, it’ll save you the trouble of looking at me here!" 0

With that, the girl pushed everyone away and ran out. 0

"Tingting!" 0

I looked at my mother, who was holding me with a worried expression, and gently said, 0

"It's okay, Mom. You should go comfort my sister. I can handle this myself." 0

She glanced at me and then at the outside before looking back at me with an apologetic face. 0

"I'm sorry, Yingying. Your sister is still young, and I'm worried she might do something impulsive." 0

With that, the woman released me and hurried outside. 0

I noticed the crowd around me whispering and casting curious glances. This was supposed to be my recognition banquet, yet I felt like a clown being discussed by everyone. 0

But as I caught sight of my father in the corner, his gaze filled with complex emotions, I wondered if I had truly lost this time. 0

"Are you really okay?" 0

I turned to see Sun Fan standing beside me, concern etched on his face. 0

"What could possibly be wrong with me?" 0

I rolled my eyes at him and then ignored the people around as I walked toward the man in the corner. 0

"Dad, I'm sorry. If it weren't for my argument with my sister, we wouldn't be in this situation." 0

He looked at me with a complex expression, then sighed and ruffled my hair. 0

"You can't blame yourself; it's all my fault and your mother's for spoiling her too much over the years, letting her run wild." 0

That evening, I returned to the Liu Residence with Liu's Father. After dinner, as the time grew later, I noticed there was no sign of movement at the door. 0

"You don't need to wait for them anymore, Yingying. You should go to bed early." 0

"Okay, Dad." 0

I watched the atmosphere grow increasingly tense, a hint of amusement flickering in my eyes. 0

"Ah!" 0

"What's wrong, Yingying?" 0

I saw someone rush into his arms. 0

"Dad, Daddy, there's a snake in my room!" 0

Liu's Father's face turned increasingly grim as he looked at the snake that the nanny had caught. 0

"Who did this?!" 0

I sat on the sofa with Liu's Father, watching the staff called over to the Liu Residence. 0

"Don't pretend you don't know, Uncle Li. Check the surveillance! I can't keep someone with such ulterior motives in my family. If you admit it now, I might give you a chance to explain. But if I find out later, don’t blame me for being ruthless." 0

As soon as Liu's Father's words fell, a pale-faced maid suddenly collapsed to her knees. 0

"Boss, I was forced!" she stammered. 0

Seeing her struggle to articulate her thoughts, I rushed in front of her, feigning fear as if I were being cornered. 0

"Why do you want to harm me?" 0

With tears welling in my eyes, I turned to Liu's Father. 0

"Dad, if you don't welcome me, I can leave right now." 0

Seeing my genuine intent to leave, Liu's Father immediately stopped me. 0

"Don't worry, Dad will definitely give you an explanation." 0

He then shot a cold glance at the kneeling maid. "Stop stuttering and just say what you need to say." 0

"It's Miss Tingting," she finally admitted. 0

The nanny had broken the pot and given up. 0

"It's all Miss Tingting's fault for making me do this. I really had no choice. My son is about to undergo surgery, and I can't afford to lose this job. Miss Tingting said that if I didn't do it, she would fire me and claim that I stole her things, making me pay a hefty fine." 0

"Shut up! Drag this woman out who is spouting nonsense and trying to harm the young lady. We the Liu Family cannot afford such people." 0

"Yes, boss." 0

Watching the woman being dragged out, shouting and struggling, the coldness in my eyes deepened. 0

This was indeed his true nature. 0

However, I quickly regained my composure and returned to my frightened demeanor. 0

"Yingying, it's all Daddy's fault. I didn't handle things well and scared you. But Tingting is a good girl; she would never do something like this. It must be that the nanny tried to sow discord between you sisters. Still, Tingting did go a bit too far this time. When she comes back, I'll make sure she apologizes to you." 0
