Long Yong approached the cabinet, took out some items, and then removed his coat to tie an apron around himself.
Rao Jie looked at him in surprise.
With his broad shoulders and narrow waist, dressed in casual pants and a white turtleneck sweater, complemented by a simple black-and-white striped apron, he looked truly appealing. Perhaps it was due to his gentle features; no matter what he wore, he exuded a calm charm that made people feel comfortable around him.
Long Yong brought the items to the kitchen counter, arranging them as he spoke, "I've been learning from someone for a while now, and I've prepared everything in advance. But I don't know if I can get it right on the first try. Still, I want to make this for you."
Rao Jie was a bit surprised as she looked at Long Yong and said, "Senior, you want to make something for me?"
He smiled and replied, "You've made me food so many times; can't I make something for you just once?"
Feeling a bit flustered under Long Yong's warm gaze, Rao Jie instinctively avoided eye contact and said, "Well... thank you, Senior."
Long Yong chuckled and said, "Don't be so polite with me. Just wait a moment; if I mess up, remind me."
Rao Jie nodded with a smile.
As Long Yong began his preparations, Rao Jie quickly realized what he was making. Judging by the ingredients on the table and his methodical approach, it was clear he was going to make Tiramisu—the very dessert he often asked her to prepare.
Suddenly, memories from years ago flooded her mind. It was also here, just the two of them; she had given an unfamiliar senior a freshly made Tiramisu. It was her first attempt, but it seemed to have failed because Long Yong had said it was too bitter.
Snapping back to reality, Rao Jie couldn't help but smile; it truly felt like a cycle repeating itself.
She sat back in her seat, propping her chin on her hand as she watched Long Yong work. She had to admit that watching a handsome guy make desserts was quite pleasing to the eye.
However, not all handsome men were suited for this task. If it were Wu Rong in the kitchen, she couldn't even imagine how disastrous that would be. If he wasn't satisfied with his own creations, the kitchen might end up in ruins.
Thinking of this made Rao Jie suddenly laugh out loud.
When she realized what she had done, she quickly composed herself and focused on watching Long Yong prepare the dessert.
Seeing him so calm yet occasionally nervous and flustered at the counter made her want to help him. But watching him work so earnestly kept her silent in the end.
Rao Jie wasn't foolish; she had a feeling about what might be happening.
Was Senior preparing to confess his feelings?
If he did confess, how would she respond?
Does she like her senior?
It's not a love kind of liking, just an ordinary fondness for this gentle and considerate person. She has never been someone who falls into feelings quickly; it takes time for her to warm up.
The senior has only been in her world for a short while, and she doesn't know him well at all, so it's natural that she wouldn't easily develop feelings for him. However, she cannot ignore the friendship he offers.
To be honest, Rao Jie feels quite troubled.
While Rao Jie is lost in thought, Tiramisu has already been prepared. Since the cheese filling was made by Long Yong a day in advance, there isn't much left to do now; he just needs to carefully decorate the small Tiramisu to make it look even more exquisite.
Long Yong's smile is radiant, as if he can't contain his excitement, like a child presenting a treasure, as he brings the Tiramisu in front of Rao Jie.
"Give it a try."
