Master Yun was definitely not joking. Without hesitation, he had Deng Kun and Wu Qian help him lift the coffin lid. 0

The coffin appeared to be made of damp wood, and as soon as it was opened, a wave of decay wafted out. It was enough to make anyone feel nauseous, even from a distance, let alone lying inside it. 0

"Yun, Master Yun, do you really want me to lie in there?" I asked uncertainly. 0

"What else is there?" 0

Master Yun replied as if it were the most natural thing in the world. He glanced at the darkening sky and said, "You can't go anywhere tonight. You have to sleep in this coffin. If your life is in danger later, don't blame me." 0

"What? Sleep in there?" 0

By now, it was nearly dark. I initially thought he just wanted me to lie down for a moment, but I realized he intended for me to spend the entire night inside. 0

Although Master Yun's tone was serious and life-threatening, asking a living person to sleep in a coffin felt excessively harsh. 0

At that moment, Wu Qian spoke up. "Just listen to Master Yun and sleep here for the night." 0

Wu Qian's words were somewhat comforting, but Deng Kun's tone was cold as he said, "If you don't want to die, get in quickly. What's so difficult about sleeping in a coffin? Do you want to end up like me?" 0

Damn it! Who would want to end up like you? I shot a sideways glare at Deng Kun, taking in his half-covered face wrapped in bandages, and couldn't help but mutter under my breath. 0

However, after considering the situation carefully, it became clear what was at stake. In the end, to save my life, I complied with Master Yun's request and lay down inside the coffin. 0

The moment I settled into the coffin, an involuntary shiver ran through me as the cold wood pressed against my skin. 0

But in the next moment, I was engulfed in darkness. With a dull thud, the lid of the coffin was completely closed over me. Unable to contain myself, I let out a loud shout and found myself lying flat inside the coffin. 0

The voice of Master Yun came coldly from outside, saying, "What are you shouting for? I'm saving you, not harming you." 0

I had never heard of anyone being saved by being made to lie in a coffin, but I worried that if I continued to shout and angered Master Yun, he might not save me after all. That would be disastrous. 0

So I took a deep breath and tried my best to calm my emotions. 0

Before long, I heard a series of crisp "thuds" coming from outside, as if something was knocking on the lid of the coffin every few seconds. 0

Gradually, as the sound echoed inside the coffin, I felt my eyelids growing heavy and uncontrollable. My body became increasingly fatigued, and my consciousness began to blur as I slipped into a deep sleep. 0

And so, the night seemed to pass peacefully. It felt as if I had slept without any distractions. When I opened my eyes the next morning, I saw Master Yun standing beside me, having already lifted the lid of the coffin. 0

Then Master Yun said lightly, "Alright, come out." 0

I frowned slightly and moved my body, feeling a bit stiff. However, I didn't pay much attention to it and asked, "Master Yun, is this it?" 0

"This is it," Master Yun replied coldly. "You might be thinking too simply. Lying in the coffin was necessary so that the female ghost haunting you couldn't find you." 0

"Mu Yan, the Female Ghost." 0

"Mm." 0

Master Yun nodded and said, "She will cling to you every night. The longer she clings to you, the more your Yang Energy will diminish, and your Yin Qi will rise with your union. When Yin prevails over Yang, I believe you know what the outcome will be." 0

His words made me break out in a cold sweat, and I crawled out of the coffin with a pale face. 0

Especially when I recalled those days of seeking out Mu Yan and engaging in such activities, a chill ran through me. It was precisely because of that that I had ended up in this predicament. 0

I collected my thoughts, grabbed a towel from his house, and wiped myself down. Then, out of curiosity, I asked, "What about Deng Kun and Wu Qian?" 0

Master Yun replied lightly, "They have already left." 0

"Oh, I see." I had intended to thank them since they were the ones who found me and brought me to Master Yun. 0

"Alright, you can go now." 0

"Master Yun, are you sending me away?" 0

Upon hearing this, I immediately felt anxious, fearing that Master Yun had changed his mind about helping me. 0

Master Yun waved his hand and said, "Go do what you need to do first. Just remember to come back here before five o'clock tonight. For now, you'll have to sleep in the coffin; otherwise, you might lose your life at any moment." 0

After spending a night in the coffin, I was no longer as resistant to it. I expressed my heartfelt gratitude to Master Yun before finally leaving. 0

Leaving Master Yun's place, I first took a bus back to my rented apartment. After a quick shower, I changed into a clean outfit and called Zhang Chao, intending to ask him to help me take a day off. 0

To my surprise, as soon as the call connected, before I could even mention my request, Zhang Chao shouted on the other end, “Damn it, Haozi! What happened last night? Why did you go there again?” 0

I was momentarily confused by Zhang Chao's outburst, so I told him over the phone that I hadn't gone anywhere last night and had just slept at a wise man's place. 0

I then explained to Zhang Chao about my visit to this wise man, though I conveniently left out the part about sleeping in a coffin. I simply said I spent the night at Master Yun's. 0

No matter how I explained, Zhang Chao insisted it was impossible. He was adamant that he saw me returning late last night and clearly saw me go there. 0

If Zhang Chao had just been uncertain and casually mentioned it, that would have been one thing. But his repeated insistence made me feel increasingly uneasy. 0

However, it was undeniably true that I had been at Master Yun's place. Even when I woke up in the morning, I was still lying in the coffin; there was no way I could have left. 0

Eventually, unable to convince me otherwise, Zhang Chao said, “Haozi, how about this? I'll take a day off too and help you with yours. Where are you? I'll come find you, and then we can check the surveillance footage at the entrance of the community together.” 0

Seeing that Zhang Chao was determined to verify this matter, I didn’t argue further. My curiosity was piqued as well, so I told him to come over to my place. 0

About twenty minutes later, Zhang Chao hurriedly arrived. The first thing he did was scrutinize me from head to toe. 0

His gaze made me feel a bit uneasy. After a moment, he stopped and asked seriously, “Haozi, are you okay?” 0

“I'm fine! Can't you see I'm perfectly alright?” I replied with an exasperated expression. 0

"Everything is fine, everything is fine." 0

Zhang Chao nodded and then took my hand, leading me away. Sister Suo and the Yin Wife were fierce. 0

To be honest, if it weren't for Zhang Chao's serious demeanor, I would never have approached that building. Even in broad daylight, I was reluctant. 0

However, Zhang Chao piqued my curiosity, so I decided to follow him. We headed straight to the Business Department behind the community. Zhang Chao handed a cigarette to the person on duty and asked them to help retrieve the surveillance footage from after nine o'clock last night. 0

Once the footage was pulled up, Zhang Chao gestured for me to watch closely. I nodded and squatted in front of the monitor, staring intently at the screen. 0

The screen showed cars and people passing by continuously, but when the time reached nine thirty, an incredibly terrifying scene appeared. 0

Both Zhang Chao and I turned pale, our eyes wide with shock, because a bizarre vehicle appeared in the video. It was not an ordinary car; it was a Paper Car, one typically burned for the deceased. 0

What was even more horrifying was that I was sitting inside that car, which had driven right up to this building before finally stopping. 0
