After exterminating a powerful demon, Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Hijou Feiye finally returned to the headquarters of the Demon Slayer Corps.
The headquarters of the Demon Slayer Corps is a magnificent wooden building, filled with an ancient and nostalgic atmosphere, exuding the unique architectural style of the Taisho Era.
Tanjiro and Nezuko in their distinctive Check pattern and hemp leaf pattern costumes, stepped into this place that has witnessed countless heroic deeds of the Demon Slayer Corps over the years.
The mansion seemed like a hidden base nestled in a dense forest, concealed beneath lush green leaves and cherry blossom trees.
But here is undoubtedly the front-line base of the war, and every corner exudes a tense atmosphere interwoven with life and death, light and darkness.
"Yeah, there's always a solemn atmosphere here," Tanjiro took a deep breath, his deep red eyes flickering slightly. "Finally back, but this time, what I bring back is not just a mission report..." he thought.
Behind him, Hijou Feiye felt a deep and unfathomable sense of oppression, her hands trembling slightly. She was wearing the clothes she brought from the modern era, obviously out of place in this era.
"Are you okay, Miss Feiye?" Tanjiro turned around and looked at her with warm eyes.
"I... I'm okay," Feiye replied with a forced smile, trying to suppress her nervousness.
Upon entering the hall, they were stopped by a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. The scout had sharp eyes, was dressed in navy blue uniform, and had a dagger at his waist. He glanced at Tanjiro and then fixed his gaze on Hijou Feiye.
"Kamado Tanjiro, report on the completion of the mission. Also, who is this?" the scout inquired, his gaze still fixed on Hijou Feiye.
"She is Hijou Feiye, whom we encountered during the mission. She possesses a special ability to combat demons. I believe she will be an important asset to the Demon Slayer Corps, so I brought her back," Tanjiro replied, trying to make his tone sound resolute.
The spy glanced at his superior - a middle-aged man, who nodded and said, "Follow me, we need to conduct a more detailed investigation."
The location of the investigation is a stone-made room, inside of which there is a stone table and several stone stools. The scout asked Hijou Feiye to sit down and began questioning.
"Can you tell me where you come from and what abilities you possess?"
Hijou Feiye After hesitating for a moment, she began to tell her story. She described how she had traveled from 20th century Japan and the abilities she had demonstrated in battling demons.
"I'm not sure why I have this ability, but it has certainly helped us defeat the demons," she said with uncertainty in her tone but determination in her eyes.
After the spy finished listening, he fell silent for a moment and then said, "I will report this information to my superiors. You should stay here for the time being."
Hijou Feiye breathed a sigh of relief. She had originally thought that the other party wouldn't believe her, and even thought she might be crazy, but the outcome was unexpectedly smooth. Perhaps the key point was that she could resist the ghosts.
Before long, a "Lower Rank" member of the Demon Slayer Corps walked in. He looked at Hijou Feiye, then said, "I heard you have special abilities to combat demons, is that true?"
Hijou Feiye nodded: "Yes, but I'm not really sure how these abilities came to be."
"No matter how these abilities came to be, as long as they can help us eliminate demons, that's enough," said the Demon Slayer Corps member.
In the evening, Hijou Feiye were taken to a simple but clean room. She sat on the bed, recalling everything that had happened to her.
"I don't know what I can do in this world, but at least, I can use this ability to protect people."
Suddenly, a faint light emitted from her hand, reminding her of the ability she had demonstrated in the previous battle with the ghost.
"What does all this really mean?" Hijou Feiye were filled with questions in their hearts.
The next day, Tanjiro and the others arrived at the hall of the Demon Slayer Corps, surveying the tense and serious atmosphere that filled the air.
Unlike other buildings with elaborate decorations, this place appeared simple, yet exuded a formidable presence that could not be underestimated.
On the surrounding walls, there are some hanging paintings with the Wisteria crest, each seeming to tell an ancient story.
Tanjiro's sword hangs quietly at his waist, and his Check pattern outfit is particularly eye-catching.
His deep red hair and red eyes stand out particularly vividly in this environment.
Standing next to him is a young woman, Hijou Feiye, her expression devoid of any panic, but her eyes revealing a hint of curiosity and doubt.
"Big brother, how will they react to Feiye?" Nezuko's voice came from the wooden box, her red eyes peering through the cracks at the two of them.
"Don't worry, Nezuko. I believe they will understand the uniqueness of Feiye," Tanjiro responded softly, but with some unease in his heart.
At that moment, the large door was swiftly pushed open by a scout dressed in black uniform, who quickly stepped inside.
Following closely behind was a middle-aged man, dressed in a gorgeous kimono, with elegant strides. His whole body exuded an extraordinary temperament.
However, the most eye-catching feature was the huge scar near his left eye, which seemed to have left the eye without sight.
"This is Ubuyashiki Kagaya, the head of the household of the Demon Slayer Corps," the scout introduced before immediately stepping aside.
Ubuyashiki Kagaya smiled and glanced at Tanjiro and Hijou Feiye, especially when he saw Hijou Feiye, a barely noticeable glint flashed in his eyes.
"Tanjiro, this young woman indeed has an extraordinary aura, as radiant as the sun," Kagaya said in a calm tone, but with an unfathomable feeling.
Tanjiro smiled slightly, "Yes, Kagaya-sama. She demonstrated extraordinary abilities in battling demons, including the ability to weaken demon blood arts. I believe she could be a great asset to us."
"Oh? You say she has the ability to weaken or suppress demon blood arts?" Kagaya seemed particularly interested in this point, his eyes instantly becoming extremely sharp.
"Yes, sir. In the battle with ' Mirror demon,' she emitted a yellow light from her hand, successfully weakening the enemy's 'doppelgänger' blood demon art," Tanjiro recalled the battle, feeling excited.
Kagaya nodded, "Very well, I will have someone conduct further training for her. In the meantime, you can go to the rest area and wait."

Kagaya nodded with a smile, then turned and walked away, but the question in his mind remained unresolved - who is this young woman, Hijou Feiye? Why does she possess such an extraordinary ability?
He decided to start further investigating her privately. After all, if what Tanjiro said is true, that she has a special ability to change the course of a battle, then it is definitely a force that cannot be ignored.
The spy informed Tanjiro and Nezuko of the decision made by the head of the household.
"She will be temporarily staying at the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters for further observation of her abilities. If everything goes well, she will become our new member," the scout said.
Tanjiro and Nezuko exchanged a glance, then nodded simultaneously.
"Thank you, we will take good care of her," Tanjiro said.
