Do you know why some people are fortunate and blessed, always able to avoid various disasters and turn misfortune into good luck? 0

In fact, it’s not just luck. 0

According to folklore, if the ancestors who have passed away in a family did not fully enjoy their blessings, or if they performed good deeds in their past lives, they would transfer their fortune to their descendants or to this life. 0

This is why many people experience constant misfortune while others seem to rise effortlessly. 0

My father experienced this firsthand. 0

When he was young, he worked in a coal mine. One day after work, he had a few drinks with friends and headed home when it was already dark. 0

Since the coal mine was located in the mountains, getting home required a long trek along a mountain path. My father was quite bold and had walked that road many times before, so he didn’t feel scared. 0

However, that day for some reason, the familiar mountain path seemed to stretch on endlessly, and he couldn’t find his way out of the woods. 0

After retracing his steps three times, my father finally felt fear creeping in. In his panic, he chose a small path he had never taken before. 0

Once on that small path, despair washed over him; all around were dense woods with no signs of escape. He began to run desperately down the path, pushing himself to the brink of exhaustion, yet the path still showed no end. He felt utterly hopeless. 0

At that moment, the clouds parted, revealing a round moon in the sky. It suddenly struck him that today was July 15th, the Ghost Festival. Using the moonlight to look around, he was horrified to see countless tomb mounds surrounding him. Fear gripped him even more as he summoned every ounce of strength to run wildly. 0

After running for what felt like an eternity, he still hadn’t escaped the graveyard. 0

The road seemed endless, no matter how fast he ran, he was just circling around the Tomb Mound. Looking at the eerie Tomb Mound in the woods, my dad felt that he might really die here, and no one would ever know. 0

Just when he was completely desperate, a faint light appeared in the distance. A figure emerged on the path ahead, holding a lantern. 0

This made my dad overjoyed; he immediately wanted to catch up with that person and walk together. As long as he could get off the mountain, he would go anywhere. 0

But no matter how loudly my dad shouted, the person did not respond, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't catch up with him. 0

The figure maintained a certain distance from him. 0

He couldn't see clearly or catch up, but strangely enough, that person didn’t abandon him; it seemed like they were just walking ahead, unable to hear his voice. 0

Encountering such a thing late at night in this desolate wilderness made my dad's heart skip a beat—could it be that he had encountered a ghost? 0

But oddly enough, that ghost didn’t seem to have any malicious intent; it continued walking in front of him, apparently leading the way. 0

After following for a while, my dad finally understood and decided to keep following that person. Even when he stumbled along the way, the figure would stop and wait for him. 0

He couldn’t remember how long they walked, but when he finally regained his composure, he was suddenly delighted to find himself at the foot of the mountain, with the faint lights of the village visible in the distance. 0

Just as my dad wanted to step forward to thank that person, as soon as he reached the village entrance, the figure suddenly turned off the path and then vanished as the light went out. 0

My dad hurried a couple of steps to where the person had disappeared. When he looked closely, his heart tightened again; that spot was right at our Ancestral Grave. 0

At that moment, my father's heart warmed, and he immediately returned home. 0

After getting home, he told my grandfather about the events of the night. My grandfather explained that it was our ancestors who knew he was in trouble and had come to bring him back home. 0
