Seeing me silent, she shot a fierce glance at Song Xiang.
Song Xiang pulled open the door to the hospital room from the inside. With the door wide open, he picked up his phone and started filming.
"Come quick! Your little nurse here is flirting with a married man! How shameless!" he said with a grin, filming and live-streaming at the same time.
"I thought she was some mistress from somewhere, but it turns out you’re all old flames from Donghua University!"
"Donghua University isn’t that great either; the people it produces aren’t even as good as someone like me who never went to school!"
His voice drew attention from everyone in the hospital, and soon a crowd gathered at the door to watch the spectacle.
Ye Yichen's face grew increasingly pale, and I really wanted to give this scoundrel a good beating! Unable to get out of bed, I could only anxiously shout.
"You bunch of shameless dogs! I haven’t settled the score with you for crashing into me, and now you come here to cause trouble!"
"Li Tong, ask yourself honestly how you treated me back then, and how you’ve treated me since we got married!"
"I’m just friends with Miss Ye! This has nothing to do with anyone else; if you want to cause trouble, come at me!"
Li Tong completely ignored me; the more anxious I became, the happier she seemed.
"Lin Weixuan, oh my, so eager to protect her! You say there’s nothing between you two? I really don’t believe that!"
She squeezed out a couple of tears and began to cry: "Lin Weixuan, you’re really heartless. I came to the hospital to see you out of kindness, and here you are being all lovey-dovey with this little nurse."
"Shut up! You’re just here to see if I’m dead or alive, right? Sorry to disappoint you!"
I felt like my lungs were about to explode from anger. Unable to hold back any longer, I opened my phone and hit play.
"So what if it is? What can you do about us?"
I deliberately provoked them.
"You think you can compete with me for women? You’re not even close!"
As soon as Song Xiang's voice emerged, Li Tong's face turned increasingly pale.
I scoffed, "Li Tong, you say you're my wife, but how can this man claim you're his woman?"
Li Tong was left speechless, choked by my words. She redirected her anger towards Ye Yichen. With one hand, she yanked the badge from Ye Yichen's chest and displayed it in front of the onlookers.
"Look at this Head Nurse from Tertiary Hospital! You all act so righteous, but who knew your private lives were so scandalous? I think this hospital isn't as great as you make it out to be!"
She spat and grabbed Ye Yichen's hair.
"Let her go!" Seeing Ye Yichen in pain made me slam my fist down on the bed. The mattress sank deeply under the impact, and Li Tong laughed even harder.
"Why are you so tense? Didn't you say everything was fine?"
"I'll let her go if you give me the keys to your house!"
The day I discovered their photos, I felt utterly disgusted by Li Tong coming into my home. So, I changed the locks.
I never expected they would come to the hospital. Seeing me hesitate, Song Xiang stepped forward, pulling Ye Yichen's arm back forcefully.
Ye Yichen cried out in pain.
"If you don't comply, I'll break your lover's arm!"
People around us began to point and whisper.
"This is what happens to a mistress! She deserves it!"
The insults grew harsher, and tears streamed down Ye Yichen's face from the pain. My anger reached its peak.
"Let her go first!"
I pulled out the keys from behind my pillow and held them up in front of Li Tong.
Song Xiang let go of my hand, and Li Tong snatched my keys away.
"Lin Weixuan, we'll see about this!"
Seeing her triumphant smile made my teeth clench in frustration.
By the time the hospital security arrived, Ye Yichen had already collapsed from the pain.
Before she was carried away on a stretcher, she briefly regained consciousness and mumbled some words.
"Senior Brother, if I had known Sister Li would treat you this way, I would never have let go back then."
