Looking at the eager eyes of my friends and family, I simply couldn't bring myself to refuse. Even though my heart was filled with countless objections, I had no choice but to agree.

With the money saved from the wedding banquet, we spent over ten days enjoying ourselves in Europe.
As soon as we landed and turned on our phones, I received hundreds of messages from Zhou Mumu.
The screen was filled with voice messages cursing me out; she even claimed I was a hotel scammer and threatened to report me.
But in the next moment, she sent me a sweet voice message: "Your flight must be delayed, right? No rush; take your time. I'll be waiting for you at the exit."
I broke out in a cold sweat. How did she know I changed my flight?
Just then, my mom suddenly turned her face and said, "Zhou Mumu is such a thoughtful girl; she even arranged for a car to pick us up."
Looking at the dense chat history between my mom and Zhou Mumu, I finally understood the reason behind it.
After they met, she first showered my mom with compliments, then began to inquire about my dad, deliberately leaving me out of the conversation and making me feel awkward.
"Uncle and Auntie, I feel so close to you both. If you don't mind, please treat me like your daughter from now on. I'll take care of you in your old age."
My mom, being the softest-hearted, was so moved by her words that tears nearly welled up in her eyes.
My dad also kept agreeing enthusiastically, even suggesting that I learn more from Zhou Mumu.
Then she insisted on taking us out for dinner. Although Yuwei and I didn't want to go, we couldn't resist our parents and were dragged along.
During the meal, Zhou Mumu kept pouring drinks for us, and before long, we were all drunk.
Just when I went to the restroom, the large private room was left with only Zhou Mumu and me.
"Your parents are a bit tipsy. I've asked Xiao Wei to call a car to take them home," she said. "You sit down; I need to talk to you about something."
Hearing this made me instantly sober up. Memories of my previous encounters with her flooded back, sending a chill down my spine.
I was so frightened that I grabbed my bag and hurried towards the exit.
But Zhou Mumu quickly stepped in front of the door and then suddenly knelt down, hugging my legs as she began to cry:
"Please let me have a child with Xiao Wei. I really have no other choice. I'm begging you; just consider it a loan from me!"
In an instant, I felt the world spinning around me.
I struggled to hold myself up and asked again, my voice trembling, "What did you just say?"
"Good sister, sit down and let me tell you. I have my own troubles," she said. "It's been less than a month since I got married, and my husband is already out there looking for other women. He even said that if I can't get pregnant soon, he'll divorce me."
"What does that have to do with Yuwei? If you want a child, go have one with your own husband!"
"You don't understand. He... he simply can't do it. He doesn't deserve to be called a man. I'm suffering, sister."
"So you mean you want to have a baby with Yuwei and pretend it's your husband's?"

I could hardly believe my ears.
While I felt sorry for Zhou Mumu's situation, I definitely couldn't agree to such a bizarre and morally questionable proposal.
I dropped a firm "No" and turned to leave.
Seeing my resolute attitude, Zhou Mumu panicked. She immediately changed her tone and pointed at me, shouting, " Xia Lili, have a little conscience! I only have this one brother, Xiao Wei. If I don't seek him out, are you going to force me to cheat?"
