The Forensic Expert handed us the USB drive and said, "If your analysis is correct, the Killer knew we would conduct an autopsy as soon as we discovered the body. So, although this USB drive has no protective measures, it appears to be almost untouched by corrosion. The Killer anticipated this." 0

I remained silent, sensing from their tone that they had already considered Yan Junde as the prime suspect. The Killer understood our investigative methods and was aware of police procedures; who else but a police officer or a former officer would know such details? 0

"It’s worth mentioning," the Forensic Expert continued while cleaning the gastric juice from the USB drive, "we also found food residue in the victim's lungs. To put it simply, the victim drowned in his own vomit." Upon hearing this, we instinctively covered our mouths; it was indeed quite disgusting. 0

Having cleared the gastric juice from the USB drive, Mary, wearing gloves, plugged it into the computer. Inside was only one folder. When she opened it, a video appeared before us. Mary clicked on the video, which lasted about a minute and was completely dark. 0

A sharp voice, clearly altered, came through: "Hello everyone. Uphold Justice is our duty. I am the Law Enforcer; I have arrived." After the voice faded, the screen shook slightly before revealing a dim image of Liu Sanxi bound to a Metal Special Bed. 0

At the beginning of the footage, it was evident that the victim was struggling desperately, but his limbs were tightly restrained; he could not break free. A figure approached, standing around six feet tall, of average build, dressed entirely in black with a pure black mask covering his face. 0

The Killer twisted handles on either side of the bed, causing two metal blocks to appear at Liu Sanxi's head. As the Killer continued to twist, they slowly closed in. Before long, Liu Sanxi's head was trapped inside, rendering him unable to even turn his head. 0

Liu Sanxi shouted and struggled, but it was futile. The Killer placed a hand over the mask's mouth area and gently said, "Don't shout; what I’m about to say could save you. If you keep making noise, you might end up harming yourself." 0

"I'll kill you!" Liu Sanxi shouted recklessly. "If you have guts, let me know who you are! I'll kill your whole family!" 0

Yet the Killer continued to speak softly and slowly. We all leaned in closer, afraid we might miss something amidst Liu Sanxi's curses. The Killer said, "Do you see that tube above your head? Soon enough, many delicious things will drop out of it for you to eat." 0

"Of course!" The Killer added while placing a specially designed Elizabeth Collar (similar to a funnel) on the victim's head. "You can choose not to eat; however, when those items pile up to a certain extent, you will find it hard to breathe! At that point, I will carve words into your stomach. As long as I finish carving and you're still alive, I will let you go. Sounds good?" 0

"I'll kill you!" Liu Sanxi continued his relentless cursing. 0

The Killer shrugged and then stepped out of view in the video frame as if controlling some device nearby. Moments later, a buzzing sound from machinery filled the air as items began to drop from the tube. We looked on in horror as a dead Toad fell out, covered in pus and looking utterly repulsive. 0

Liu Sanxi certainly wouldn't eat any of this, still cursing loudly. However, Killer remained calm and began sharpening a knife nearby, occasionally lifting it to check its sharpness. More items continued to drop from the tube, including three dead mice still covered in fur, which landed on Liu Sanxi's face. 0

Liu Sanxi struggled desperately, but the food only jostled around in the collar. Then a long dead snake fell out, blocking most of Liu Sanxi's face. Killer, while sharpening the knife, laughed and said, "Aren't you going to eat? If you don't eat now, it will only get messier later." 0

"I..." Just as Liu Sanxi was about to unleash another tirade, a dead mouse fell into his mouth. Instinctively biting down, the mouse's insides squirted out, creating a disgusting sight. More and more items began to fall, covering Liu Sanxi's face. At that moment, he finally realized that Killer was not joking; he truly intended to kill him. 0

He began to cry and plead for mercy, but Killer remained indifferent, continuing to sharpen his knife. Liu Sanxi kept moving his mouth and nose, trying to push the items down, but as soon as he managed to swallow one, more dead animals fell from the tube, sealing his mouth and nose once again. With a loud shout, Liu Sanxi began to consume the dead animals. 0

At this point, Killer stood up and walked over to Liu Sanxi's side, starting to carve words into Liu Sanxi's body with the knife. Liu Sanxi cried out in pain, but it was clear that the danger at his head was far worse than what was happening on his body; the speed at which animals were falling from the tube seemed to be increasing. 0

In that moment, Liu Sanxi could no longer care about anything else; he opened his mouth and bit down on whatever he could reach, swallowing it down in an effort to prolong his impending suffocation. He was racing against time with his own life at stake. After swallowing for a short while, he began to vomit violently. 0

The stench of the dead animals combined with the fur from the dead mice made vomiting a natural reaction. However, with each bout of vomiting, Liu Sanxi drew closer to death; he had no choice but to swallow his own vomit again in order to continue eating the dead creatures. 0

Killer watched Liu Sanxi and said, "Not bad! At this rate, you might actually survive. I've already written three characters! Keep it up! I'm trying to write faster; how many characters do you think is reasonable?" 0

But at that moment, Liu Sanxi couldn't care less about conversing with Killer. The dead animals were piling up more and more; inside the collar were corpses of animals mixed with crushed remains and Liu Sanxi's own vomit. Mary covered her mouth and finally couldn't hold back anymore: "I need to go throw up for a bit; I really can't take this..." 0

The scene continued unfolding; by now we could no longer see Liu Sanxi's face at all—he was completely buried under dead mice, snakes, and dead toads. Yet through the constant movement of animal corpses, we could see that Liu Sanxi was still consuming everything. 0

"Not bad! Not bad!" Killer exclaimed. "Your vitality is quite strong; that's already the sixth character." 0

However, at this point it was clear that Liu Sanxi's life was slipping away; his body trembled continuously as his veins became visibly pronounced. "Just hang in there! That's already the eighth character!" Killer seemed increasingly anxious as his movements quickened. 0

Gradually though, Liu Sanxi fell silent. By the time Killer finished carving those words completely, Liu Sanxi had already died. Killer felt for Liu Sanxi's neck and then shrugged helplessly before addressing the camera: "I'm sorry; he's already dead. I did my best. But the game has just begun; we'll meet again. Good night and sweet dreams." 0

Then, the scene turned to darkness and came to a halt. 0

Provocation, this was **naked provocation. I was about to say a few words when my phone vibrated again. In fact, my phone had been vibrating continuously; I had just been too engrossed in the video to notice. I took out my phone and looked at it—within just a few short hours, there were hundreds of missed calls and countless messages. 0

I ignored everyone’s messages, but there was one person whose message I simply could not overlook: Juan Juan. Juan Juan had sent a long message. I didn’t have time to read it all, but I could clearly see a series of words. Juan Juan wrote: "I don’t lack suitors. The six years I spent with you were merely a waste of my time. I hate you. Whether you come or not, I am getting married today, regardless of whether the person is you." 0

I took a deep breath and then suddenly smashed my phone on the ground. Forensic Expert and Alley didn’t understand why I would act this way and stared at me in shock. I calmed myself down and said, "It’s hard to discern anything from the video, but since there’s an operation table and an assembly line, this place must be significant. From Liu Sanxi’s loud cries for help, it seems this place has good soundproofing and is usually deserted." 0

"Considering several points," I continued, "are there any abandoned factories or similar places? We need to send someone to check immediately. Then, Alley, take me to Yan Junde’s house. We need to see if Yan Junde’s disappearance is related to this case; we can’t jump to conclusions without investigating his home first." 0

After I finished speaking, the two remained motionless, still staring at me blankly. I felt a surge of anger and said in a less than friendly tone, "What’s wrong? Do I need to repeat myself?" 0

"No need, no need," Alley waved his hands repeatedly and said, "I’ll arrange it right now; I’ll come pick you up shortly to go to Yan Junde’s house for the investigation." With that, he hurried out. Seeing this, Forensic Expert said, "I’ll go check on the body; maybe there’s something new." He quickly followed suit. 0

The room was left with just me. I rubbed my temples with my fingers, telling myself to relax, relax. From the moment I boarded the plane, hadn’t this outcome already been predetermined? Since it was a path of my own choosing, shouldn’t I bear the consequences of my choices? Juan Juan ’s decision was undoubtedly correct. What had I given her over six years? I knew I wasn’t a good partner; in fact, I wasn’t even a good son. 0

But I had always been striving to be a good police officer. 0
