“Have the High Intelligences started fighting?” I asked curiously. “Or has someone violated the agreement not to harm their own body and begun to take action?” 0

Feng Tang Song shook his head and replied, “The High Intelligences have always handled matters rationally. They strive to solve problems from a psychological perspective. In fact, two of them have become psychology experts. They are cautious because a single misstep could lead to their own disappearance. Years passed, and the little boy grew into a young man of seventeen or eighteen.” 0

He straightened up and looked at me seriously. I understood that the triggering event Feng Tang Song mentioned was about to begin. Sure enough, he cleared his throat and said, “Almost all the High Intelligences became aware of their other personalities, but ordinary people do not consider the inexplicable issues happening to them from a scientific standpoint.” 0

“I might be speaking in circles here, so let me explain how ordinary people react,” Feng Tang Song said with a helpless expression. “Because the little boy has multiple different personalities, every time he opens his eyes, he feels strange and forgets how he ended up there. Can you understand? For example, if one of his A Personality wants to eat a bun, halfway through, B Personality suddenly appears, and this B Personality would be surprised as to why they are there.” 0

I nodded. 0

“Good that you understand. When such occurrences happen frequently, those ordinary personalities begin to doubt the world around them,” Feng Tang Song continued. “The first batch of kind personalities merely felt they were encountering supernatural events and started praying and seeking divine help. This was quite normal and still under the control of the High Intelligences.” 0

Feng Tang Song’s expression turned somewhat grim as he said, “But the little boy’s body contains more than one personality. Do you remember those evil personalities that formed in the second batch? They became paranoid, thinking someone was out to get them and that someone was manipulating everything from behind the scenes. Thus, they decided to rebel, but they had no idea who to fight against.” 0

“Things began to spiral out of control from there,” Feng Tang Song recalled. “The trigger was a suicide attempt by the little boy. One of the Second Batch of Personalities decided to fundamentally resolve this issue, so that day he hanged himself. Fortunately, the High Intelligence personalities noticed something was off and were well prepared.” 0

“That rope was tampered with,” Feng Tang Song said with some relief. “Just as the little boy stepped onto it, the rope broke. From that moment on, the High Intelligences realized that the war had shifted from an internal conflict among themselves to a battle between the First Batch of Personalities and the Second Batch of Personalities.” 0

Feng Tang Song trembled slightly as if recalling something he wished to forget: “The little boy is now twenty years old; both the first and second batches of personalities began to collapse in large numbers. They could not accept this strange and different world. Many personalities attempted suicide while others began to kill.” 0

“It was during that time when under the control of the second batch of personalities, the little boy committed numerous crimes—murder, robbery, rape—anything imaginable. Meanwhile, the First Batch of Personalities started self-harming and committing suicide in an attempt to alleviate their psychological pain through physical suffering.” 0

Feng Tang Song wore a wry smile before continuing: “But the most terrifying thing is that the First Batch of Personalities cannot truly commit suicide. The Second Batch of Personalities is determined to destroy themselves along with the world and will not allow themselves to die first. The High Intelligences are even more cautious in protecting this body. The First Batch of Personalities is simultaneously battling against both the Second and Third Batches.” 0

At this point, Feng Tang Song unbuttoned his jacket and bared his arms for me to see. His body was covered in countless scars—puncture wounds, slash marks, wrist cuts, and burn scars—all looking horrifyingly grotesque as if someone had subjected him to every torture imaginable in existence; yet it was these souls within him that had inflicted such pain. 0

Feng Tang Song smiled apologetically at me before slowly putting his clothes back on and said, “You see these wounds? They are all works of the First Batch of Personalities. Outsiders would surely think I’m a spy who has been tortured!” With that, Feng Tang Song laughed at himself first. 0

But I just couldn't bring myself to smile. 0

"But every time the First Batch of Personalities attempted suicide, the Second and Third Batches would jump out to stop them," Feng Tang Song said. "During that time, this body faced collapse several times. Just think about it: one moment you're holding a knife to harm yourself, and the next moment you're performing first aid, and then in the next moment, you're taking that very knife you used to hurt yourself to go out and kill someone else." 0

"Living like this is hard to endure, especially when the Second Batch of Personalities appears. They commit crimes everywhere, yet the police have never caught them," Feng Tang Song continued. "Because these cases don't seem like they were committed by one person, you understand what I mean? The Second Batch of Personalities has strong individual traits, and their methods of committing crimes vary widely. The police simply can't link all these cases to a single individual; their Psychological Profile becomes completely ineffective." 0

I wholeheartedly agreed with this. 0

Seeing me nod, Feng Tang Song went on, "That's right. Especially the High Intelligences, who clean up the crime scenes thoroughly after they commit their acts. They understand that if they get caught, everyone will die. So they indirectly become accomplices. The little boy spent over a decade in such an environment!" 0

"Over a decade—what torment, what darkness," tears streamed down Feng Tang Song's face. "Whenever I think back on those days, I feel that it would have been better if we had all died together. For more than ten years, the battle between personalities progressed slowly, eliminating about ten personalities." 0

"There was a time when I suddenly understood the meaning of my existence," Feng Tang Song said through tears. "Do you know? Sometimes I find it strange that I was the first one created, while the others were unaware of each other's existence until the emergence of the Third Batch. But I realized this long ago." 0

Feng Tang Song let tears flow freely as he spoke. "I understood that when the little boy was around ten years old, we created me. I became like his brother or father—of course, the perfect brother or father he imagined." 0

"I watched everything silently, guarding it all," Feng Tang Song said. "I wanted to kill off all the other personalities in this body and leave just me and the little boy behind; then everything would be easier. So I spent nearly five years executing my plan. You know, I had limited time to control this body each day; I had to be cautious because I only had one chance at victory." 0

Feng Tang Song stopped crying and wiped away his tears before saying, "So I began killing methodically. I possessed a unique trait that none of them had: I understood each one of them. I knew what mindset the little boy had when he created them—something even those High Intelligences didn't comprehend." 0

"So I started killing using all the methods of the Second Batch of Personalities," Feng Tang Song revealed an evil smile as he spoke. "Isn't it interesting? When the Second Batch wanted to kill someone and found that their planned methods had already been executed by someone else, you should have seen their expressions—they were shocked, confused, even broken." 0

"As this happened more frequently, they realized they were redundant and completely useless," Feng Tang Song said with a smile. "So they began to collapse in large numbers; many from the Second Batch disappeared. With their disappearance, the First Batch found peace within themselves because no one was doing evil anymore. They began to fall asleep one by one deep within themselves and no longer clung to thoughts of self-harm or suicide." 0

Feng Tang Song stroked his chin and said to me, "And so, the First Batch also began to fade away slowly. I finally understood that this was my mission; this was my task." 0

I exclaimed in astonishment, "So you mean that all those people you killed later were under your control? You are the true Killer! You should face legal consequences!" 0

"Don't be foolish!" Feng Tang Song said with a smile. "I admit it was all me, but who would believe that? After they underwent Hypnosis, they knew that all the evil personalities within me had disappeared. My methods were merely theirs." Feng Tang Song waved a piece of paper in front of me. 0

"Do you see this?" Feng Tang Song continued. "This is my proof of innocence, and that's why I'm here—to thank you all. Is it worth it for a Killer? Haha, I used to watch TV and never understood why those villains talked so much, leaving opportunities for the protagonist to turn the tables. Now I get it." 0

I suddenly stood up and kicked him in the stomach, sending him and his chair crashing to the ground. "I can arrest you right now!" I shouted. 0

Feng Tang Song got back up, dusting himself off with a grin. "Where's your evidence? I trust you didn't bring a recording device. You know, some secrets are so painful to keep hidden in your heart. Have you ever felt that way?" 0

My heart sank as I recalled the case involving Chuxue and Spring Bud in Dahuai Tree Village. When Chuxue died, I was the only one in the world who knew what had happened between her and Spring Bud; only I knew why she had killed. That feeling was indeed painful, as if I were the only person left in the world. 0

"I think you understand this feeling too," Feng Tang Song said with a smile. "That's why I really want to share my story, everything that has happened over these decades; otherwise, I'll collapse. After thinking it over, I've realized that only you can be my most loyal listener. I can't tell anyone else, but I need to vent, and that person can only be you." 0

Feng Tang Song burst into laughter. "It feels so good to finally share a secret that's been buried in my heart for decades. Don't worry; from now on, I'll leave this place. You'll never know where I'm going, and you'll never find me again. Even if one day you gather evidence to arrest me, you still won't be able to find me." 0

"Ha! Just watch your three friends remain forever immersed in darkness!" 0
