The surveillance footage of the Internet Celebrity Flight Attendant partying with eleven wealthy heirs at a hotel circulated for a while.
In the video, she appeared lively at first, bouncing in and out of two rooms with the men. However, it wasn't long before her demeanor changed drastically. By the next day, she was found dead in the hotel bathtub.
Following an investigation by the police, the case was classified as a malicious gang rape resulting in death.
Yet, within less than a day, the eleven men present were declared not guilty.
What exactly happened among them on that fateful day?
Why were the eleven men acquitted?
On April 13, 1997, today's protagonist, Dacera, was born into an ordinary family in the Philippines. She had four siblings and was the second oldest among them. From a young age, she was known for her cheerful and outgoing personality and worked hard in her studies. After taking her college entrance exams, she successfully received an acceptance letter from Mindanao State University.
During her time at university, Dacera participated in the Miss Universe competition due to her stunning looks and eye-catching figure, but unfortunately, she did not make it to the finals.
She went on to enter several beauty pageants and modeling contests but did not achieve notable success. To secure a good career after graduation, Dacera aspired to become a flight attendant.
After graduating from university, with her impressive education and striking appearance, Dacera successfully landed a job with Philippine Airlines. In addition to her regular work duties, she began posting beautiful photos of herself on social media. Before long, she amassed hundreds of thousands of followers and became a social media influencer.
On December 31, 2020, the day of the incident, Dacera had made plans to attend a New Year's Eve party at a four-star hotel with three male colleagues.
When Dacera arrived at the hotel, she realized that she was the only woman at the gathering. Alongside her were three male colleagues and eight men she had never met before. Through introductions from her colleagues, she learned that these eight men were their good friends.
Dacera didn’t think much of it; due to the large number of people, they couldn’t fit into one room, so they opened two adjacent rooms instead.
Although her colleagues claimed that the other eight were their good friends, Dacera didn’t know them and felt a bit shy. She chatted lightly while playing with her phone. However, as a few people started drinking, the effects of alcohol loosened her up.
Afterward, she moved back and forth between the two rooms. The surveillance footage showed that Dacera seemed to be in good spirits, and the party continued energetically until 2:50 AM when she entered another room hand in hand with a man.
Less than two minutes later, they returned to the original room. At this point, Dacera appeared very proactive, pressing the doorbell while leaning her face close to the man's.
Once inside the room, it wasn’t long before Dacera began to wander between the two rooms again, but everything seemed normal. However, by 4 AM, several men carried Dacera out.
From her appearance, her limbs were very stiff, almost like a zombie.
Not long after they arrived in another room, Dacera bounced back into the hallway and began playfully interacting with the men. It seemed everything had returned to normal, but then she was carried off by other men to yet another room.
What appeared to be a perfectly normal gathering soon led to an unbelievable scene.
The party continued into the morning, with several men gradually leaving the hotel.
However, when one of Dacera's male colleagues woke up from his drunken stupor, he discovered Dacera lying in the bathtub in disheveled clothing. Concerned, he kindly covered her with a blanket before returning to bed to continue sleeping.
As he passed through the hallway and pressed the doorbell, Dacera leaned toward him again, but he instinctively stepped back.
If it was truly for the sake of coveting Dacera's beauty, how could he have recoiled when faced with her proactive kiss?
On January 27, the police conducted another autopsy on Dacera's body, ultimately concluding that she died of natural causes, unrelated to the eleven men who attended the party that night.
In the end, not only did the police drop the charges against them, but they also publicly apologized and even dismissed the director in charge of investigating the case.
