"What Shikigami? It's just a pet ghost! Today, I will purify you both!" Xiao Yefeng declared, channeling his inner energy and launching a kick straight toward the center.
Sensing the difficulty of facing Xiao Yefeng, Ghost Head Blade swiftly dodged the kick. Using Xiao Yefeng's body as cover, he began to shift his hands into various positions, clearly forming seals while muttering something under his breath.
Xiao Yefeng ignored this and activated an invisible flame to protect himself. He charged again at Ghost Head Blade.
After a series of incomprehensible words in Wa Country's language, Xiao Yefeng saw Ghost Head Blade surrounded by Eerie Energy. Behind him stood a Wa Country warrior clad in chain mail, wielding dual blades and glaring fiercely at him.
This was Xiao Yefeng's first encounter with a Wa Country Shikigami, and he felt a moment of dread as he was drawn into an illusion where the warrior seemed invincible. However, with clarity from his Spirit Platform, he quickly regained his composure. At that moment, Ghost Head Blade raised his right hand with the Battle Blade and swung it at Xiao Yefeng.
Determined, Xiao Yefeng bit his tongue and spat out a drop of blood. The invisible flames surged upon contact with his essence, transforming from orange to bright red. He then threw a punch at Ghost Head Blade.
The collision of blade and fist echoed like metal clashing. To an ordinary observer, it appeared as though Ghost Head Blade had struck with a knife-hand toward Xiao Yefeng, only to be blocked by his fist. Yet no one understood where the sound of metal came from.
"Feng Shui Techniques! Are you a Geomancer from Huaxia? It's rare for a Huaxia Geomancer to train their body!" Ghost Head Blade remarked.
"One can only see so much from a narrow perspective," Xiao Yefeng replied, acknowledging Ghost Head Blade's words while maintaining his own momentum.
"Thunder Finger!" As their hands intertwined, Xiao Yefeng suddenly transformed his fist into a finger and jabbed it at Ghost Head Blade's knife-hand. Protected by inner energy, he was unafraid of the blade; however, Ghost Head Blade's weapon also delivered a unique attack.
In an instant, Ghost Head Blade suffered an unexpected setback as his right arm went numb due to Xiao Yefeng's precise strike on his pressure point.
Yet the numbness did not diminish Ghost Head Blade's assault. Suddenly, a swirl of Ghost Mist enveloped his arm, forming what appeared to be classical armor that adhered to his right arm. The blade he had been holding seemed to elongate into a three-foot-long katana.
Now armed with the Demon Blade, Ghost Head Blade's eyes changed as he prepared for battle. "What Ghost Valley Sect? I know nothing of that. This is the domain of our divine might; you Huaxia merely learned from us!" Ghost Head Blade replied with an air of superiority.

However, Ghost Head Blade paid no heed to Xiao Yefeng's words. At that moment, the armor on Ghost Head Blade's right arm looked fierce, and his grip on the Demon Blade trembled continuously. This was a sign that the weaker side in their weapon clash was suffering from an uncontrollable shiver due to being suppressed during their confrontation.
"You! You actually know Shikigami martial arts?" Ghost Head Blade exclaimed in surprise.
"Pfft! The pirated version from Wokou is beneath my notice. Today, I will show you what true spirit summoning is!" At this moment, Xiao Yefeng's gaze shifted once more; indeed, the heroic spirit that had been protecting him reappeared. In Huaxia, Wokou's Shikigami were merely known as the Twelve Gods of December. Yet, Onmyoji utilized and even prayed to deities that in Huaxia were nothing more than a collection of demons and monsters. Especially among Wa Country's twelve Shikigami subordinates—essentially what Ghost Head Blade embodied as a Warrior Shikigami—this was fundamentally just a type of spirit.
The Onmyoji of Wa Country had distorted Huaxia's Feng Shui Techniques beyond recognition. Not only did they amplify its extreme aspects but they also took a different approach by venerating these spirits as deities and nurturing them through special means.
Once awakened, the Ancestral Spirit within Xiao Yefeng helped him see through the essence of Ghost Head Blade's abilities. He could tell that this Warrior Shikigami was quite impressive compared to others in the realm of spirits. In essence, this Warrior Shikigami's Eerie Energy level was comparable to Zhang Chuanhai's; thus proving that Ghost Head Blade's Warrior Shikigami could possess him and alter parts of his physical form—indicating it had reached the level of an Earthbound Spirit.
However, the classification of ghosts varies greatly, ranging from the lonely souls waiting for the Black and White Elders to guide them to the afterlife, to those who have been inadvertently isolated by scheming individuals, such as the Earthly Evil Spirit. The process is long, evolving from the Evil Spirit entangled in Earthly Restraint to the Earthbound Spirit that has broken free from its shackles. If a ghost becomes an Earthbound Spirit due to certain factors, this transformation can take decades or even longer.
There is no choice; these ghosts are unable to reincarnate for various reasons. The Yin Si faces difficulties as well; using forceful methods to handle such a ghost is not straightforward. This is where the Geomancer comes into play, assisting the living world in managing feng shui and helping the Yin Si deal with these spirits while possessing the ability to control them.
At the same time, the Yin Si also agrees to allow some individuals who still have a lifespan but have died unexpectedly to assist the Geomancer. Of course, this must be recorded by the Yin Si, much like how released prisoners are monitored by police. This is the initial stage of ghost nurturing. Many sects in Huaxia are famous for their ghost-rearing techniques, with Ghost Valley Divination being the most renowned.
Of course, people change, and Geomancers are no exception. When they first learn their craft, they undergo entrance examinations, but as their abilities grow, various thoughts can arise. It is not uncommon for them to stray onto a darker path due to different circumstances; after all, this is human nature. Even Geomancers are susceptible to this tendency, perhaps even more so.
In ancient Huaxia, many Geomancers underwent transformations by borrowing power from ghosts and spirits. To avoid being harmed by Eerie Energy, ghost nurturers devise various methods to evade retribution. The Onmyoji from Wa Country are among the best in this regard; they absorb the yang energy and essence of strangers through the ghosts they raise to protect themselves from harm. Consequently, anyone who clashes with Shikigami is likely to suffer greatly.
However, true and orthodox ghost nurturers generally do not suffer harm because their ghosts are registered with the Yin Si. The Yin Qi and malice are under the control of the Yin Si, and such ghosts must return to reincarnate after a certain period.
