Xiao Ling drove her sports car at high speed, racing towards Xiao Yefeng's direction. While in the car, she dialed her former superior's number and explained the situation in detail. After her call, the large group pursuing Xiao Yefeng began to dwindle significantly; the police and government officials had retreated, leaving only the remaining police vehicles. After all, as Xiao Ling had mentioned, they were chasing a nationally wanted criminal. 0

Xiao Yefeng was a member of a secret national department, and once this information reached her former superior, it caused quite a stir. The department Xiao Ling had escalated to was one that even she had no authority to question. The owner of the car, as described by Xiao Ling, belonged to a covert department—those from the Transcendence division. 0

After hanging up on Xiao Ling, her superior immediately called the top official in another department. Within three minutes, the pursuit of Xiao Yefeng transformed into an assistance operation. All intersections that Xiao Yefeng might pass through were sealed off. He had not anticipated that Xiao Ling would resolve this matter so swiftly. Glancing at the red dot on the Bagua Mirror, he confirmed that the chase had indeed ceased. 0

Looking ahead at an old residential building—a rental area housing people from all walks of life—Xiao Yefeng jumped out of his car and rushed inside with the Bagua Mirror in hand. Almost simultaneously, police cars surrounded all exits of the building, while a portion of armed officers followed him inside. Guided by the Bagua Mirror, Xiao Yefeng made his way to the seventh floor before stopping. 0

There were over ten households on the seventh floor. To maximize rental space, the landlord had installed separate doors for each unit. It was evident that Yang Xing had set up arrangements here; upon reaching this point, the Bagua Mirror could no longer provide accurate readings. Faced with fourteen doors, Xiao Yefeng gritted his teeth and abandoned his original plan. Two years ago, he would have kicked down each door to search every room. 0

However, as a mercenary who once disregarded any treaties for missions, he could no longer act recklessly. At this moment, a group of police officers finally caught up with him on the stairs. The team leader saw Xiao Yefeng standing at the stairwell with a bronze mirror in hand, scanning his surroundings. The leader initially thought Xiao Yefeng was some sort of fortune-teller; however, he quickly realized that this man was someone he was ordered to assist. 0

"Hello, I am Captain Zhang Long of the Third Team! According to my superiors—" 0

Before Zhang Long could finish introducing himself, Xiao Yefeng turned to face him. The hatred burning in his eyes towards those from Perfect World made Zhang Long instinctively shut his mouth. Even he wondered why he felt afraid. 0

"You?" Zhang Long steadied himself and was about to say something when Xiao Yefeng interjected sharply: "Shut up! There’s a ruthless killer here who doesn’t blink when taking lives. I don’t know if you understand; this person is not ordinary and can kill from afar. You’d better stay here; otherwise, getting hurt could be a lifelong issue!" 0

With that warning, Xiao Yefeng stepped forward with the Bagua Mirror into the narrow corridor on the seventh floor. 0

Zhang Long's expression darkened considerably. Earlier, when Xiao Yefeng had run a red light at his checkpoint, Zhang Long had nearly been sideswiped by his car—something that already infuriated him. Determined to teach this reckless driver a lesson once captured, he found it frustrating that just as he was about to catch up with him, orders from above changed their mission from apprehension to assistance. 0

This left Zhang Long feeling frustrated. Just as he adjusted his mindset to greet Xiao Yefeng, he felt mocked instead—a perception entirely of his own making. At that moment, seeing Xiao Yefeng disregard him—a black belt in Taekwondo and a ninth-degree Judo expert—made Zhang Long feel insulted. As he watched Xiao Yefeng walk away, he clenched his fist and slammed it against the wall at the corner of the staircase in frustration. 0

The walls of the Honest Residential Building, though not very sturdy, were not easily broken. However, with a single punch, Zhang Long managed to create a dent in the cement wall. At that moment, he said, "Zhou, keep an eye on things here. No matter who tries to go downstairs, control them. I'm going to take a look!" 0

With that, Zhang Long followed Xiao Yefeng as they left. He felt a surge of anger within him; if he couldn't teach this arrogant kid a lesson, then he would show him his skills. After all, what was a murderer? Zhang Long was determined to demonstrate how he would catch him. 0

Xiao Yefeng approached each door one by one, but the Bagua Mirror had completely lost its effectiveness. Every door seemed to point towards Yang Xing, as if he were behind each one. How could that be possible? 0

After checking all fourteen doors, each one carried the presence of Yang Xing, only to vanish in an instant. Just then, Zhang Long's footsteps echoed from behind Xiao Yefeng. When Xiao Yefeng turned around, he saw Zhang Long sneaking up on him. "Weren't you supposed to be guarding the entrance? Aren't you afraid of danger?" Xiao Yefeng asked. 0

Zhang Long replied confidently, "Don't worry; I'm not afraid of danger. Capturing a murderer is our duty!" 0

Seeing the defiant look on Zhang Long's face, Xiao Yefeng realized that he had inadvertently ignited this man's fighting spirit. Shaking his head, he pulled out a folded Yellow Talisman from his belt and handed it to Zhang Long. "Take this Yellow Talisman and keep it in your chest pocket!" 0

"What’s this?" Zhang Long was taken aback and looked at the yellow paper with confusion, wondering if it was some sort of trickery like those found at temple fairs. 0

"If you want to follow me, keep it safe!" Xiao Yefeng said sternly. He noticed the disbelief in Zhang Long's eyes but didn't have time for a lengthy explanation; time was of the essence, and he needed to find Yang Xing quickly. 0

"Alright!" Zhang Long casually tucked the yellow paper into his chest pocket and then drew his sidearm from its holster with a click as he chambered a round. Xiao Yefeng frowned slightly but continued pacing back and forth. 0

With fourteen households to check, armed with his sword and Bagua Mirror while being followed by a police officer with a loaded gun, Xiao Yefeng knew that entering the wrong door could lead to serious trouble. But where exactly was this person hiding? 0

As he pondered this, Xiao Yefeng suddenly stopped in his tracks—wait! There was one house missing! Looking up towards the last door at the end of the hallway, he glanced at Zhang Long and said, "I'm going to break down this door; you stay alert!" 0

Zhang Long nodded but thought to himself that with Xiao Yefeng's fortune-teller appearance, it might be better for him to stay cautious—he didn't want to scare himself silly when it came time to catch the criminal! 0

Xiao Yefeng put away the Bagua Mirror and drew the Soul Severing Sword from behind him. He glanced at Zhang Long, thinking that this North Emperor Amulet should be enough. He then turned and walked toward the target's door. Zhang Long watched Xiao Yefeng's strange demeanor, wondering what a wooden sword could possibly do. Did he think this was a horror movie? 0

However, to Zhang Long's astonishment, the wooden sword sliced through the Security Door as easily as cutting tofu, directly embedding itself into the keyhole. With a swift motion, Xiao Yefeng pulled open the Security Door and slipped inside, leaving Zhang Long in a state of confusion. As Zhang Long approached the Security Door, he reached out to touch where the wooden sword had penetrated. The smooth cut was even more precise than that made by a cutting machine. Shaking his head, Zhang Long dismissed these chaotic thoughts and crouched down to enter the room. 0

The two who entered the room had entirely different experiences. Xiao Yefeng entered first, using the Soul Severing Sword to break through an Illusion Array and charged straight into the Second Gate. Meanwhile, Zhang Long, holding his firearm, stepped inside only to be shocked to find himself in what seemed like a maze. The maze was thick with Yin Qi. When Zhang Long touched the moss-covered wall, he was surprised to discover it was real. 0

With no other option, Zhang Long held his gun and proceeded along the wall. However, he was unaware that if it weren't for the North Emperor Amulet casually tucked in his pocket protecting him, the spirits trailing behind him would have surely invaded his body by now. At this moment, with the amulet's protection, Zhang Long could only walk forward through the endless maze. But what was the real Zhang Long doing? 0

At that moment, standing at the entrance of the room was another version of Zhang Long, pacing anxiously in place. In the dark room, the amulet on his chest flickered with golden light. As for Xiao Yefeng, he was now face to face with Yang Xing. 0

Yang Xing sat within a Bagua Formation, a fire pit burning in front of him. Xiao Yefeng crouched beside the fire pit, holding a partially burned document in his hands. Perhaps Yang Xing had been too hasty and accidentally tossed an entire stack of documents into the fire pit, resulting in most of it being reduced to ashes while the upper half remained unburned. 0

Although incomplete, Xiao Yefeng managed to glean some information from the remnants of the documents. They were Yang Xing's personal notes; most of what had burned were insights on raising spirits and Ghost Summoning Technique. While these notes might be treasures for other Geomancers, they were worthless to Xiao Yefeng. What concerned him most was the last page. 0

Perfect World had instructed Yang Xing to investigate underground at Flower Mountain Park, which was said to contain Ancient Ruins that had yet to be discovered by other forces. After reviewing all the materials, Xiao Yefeng tossed the last page into the fire pit and kicked Yang Xing's corpse aside. On a wooden table lay Yang Xing's final words addressed to Xiao Yefeng. 0

"Son, I will wait for you in Eighteen Layers of Hell. The boss has already noticed you; I have been waiting here for you... waiting for your death!" The message was simple enough; however, the final word "death" was written with great emphasis, clearly indicating Yang Xing's unwillingness to accept his fate. Yang Xing had committed suicide; on the table sat a Black Porcelain Bottle from which a pungent odor emanated—clearly this was Deadly Poison. Yet like with Yuan Brothers before him, no spirit emerged after death, which surprised Xiao Yefeng. 0

Nonetheless, what intrigued Xiao Yefeng even more were questions regarding these ruins. He took out his phone and called Jiang Xing. After clarifying everything with him, Jiang Xing pondered for a moment before saying to Xiao Yefeng: "Let's discuss this further when we meet." 0
