At this moment, a hint of fear crept into Evil Qi as it struggled to break free.
Just then, a long-awaited strike came to disrupt everything. With a loud crack! A thick bolt of Purple Lightning descended. At this point, Xiao Yefeng was just one step away from defeating Evil Qi. However, he faced a dilemma: either eliminate Evil Qi to allow Liu Yiyi to absorb it anew—boosting her cultivation and freeing her from the torment of Yin Jue Vein—or turn around to block this lethal Condemnation Arc with the Chessboard. With Evil Qi losing control, it fell into Liu Yiyi's Spirit Platform as spiritual energy. Upon regaining consciousness, Liu Yiyi found herself having crossed the threshold into Pseudo Spirit and directly advanced to Mid Stage of True Spirit. Moreover, with some adjustments to the Qi within her Spirit Platform, she would soon be able to enter True Spirit Late Stage without any obstacles—perhaps even reach its peak.
While Jiao Tu protected Liu Yiyi, it could not shield Xiao Yefeng from being targeted. In that final moment, Xiao Yefeng swung his Soul-Severing Black Sword to disperse part of the Punishment Power. Panic surged within Liu Yiyi—could it be?
A sense of foreboding gripped her heart as she pulled out the Seven Star Needle and stored it in her backpack before searching for any trace of Xiao Yefeng. She moved aside scattered rocks and soon discovered remnants of the Purple Gold Bell not far away—shattered into several pieces—which she carelessly tossed into her backpack as she frantically searched.
Unbeknownst to her, in this pitch-black night, she could see as clearly as if it were daylight. Now possessing Mid Stage of True Spirit level powers allowed Liu Yiyi to manipulate frost energy to assist in moving heavy boulders. As a result, on this platform, she found both the flung Bagua Mirror and the Soul-Severing Black Sword broken into four segments. The charred breakage proved that it had been shattered during its clash with Punishing Purple Thunder; if not for its special material, there would have been nothing left.
Having found all of Xiao Yefeng's belongings raised further questions—where was he? At this point, Liu Yiyi was utterly bewildered. She attempted to make a call only to discover that all communication devices had been damaged during last night's thunderstorm—even her family's rescue equipment had completely failed. Frantically searching around with growing anxiety, she noticed dead fish floating on the water surface.
