However, things could not always favor Xiao Yefeng. As the one-month period agreed upon by Xiao Yefeng approached, he had already been outside for twenty-five days. "I am a villain! And you are no good either! Everywhere I go is where you turn living people into ultimate warriors; how is this any different from beasts?" Xiao Yefeng retorted.
"Survival of the fittest; we are merely following the orders of the God of Sorcery!" The Masked Man replied.
"Hmph! What are you here for? To exterminate us?" Xiao Yefeng asked.
"To be honest, I would love to fight you, but I hold no hatred towards you! However, others do! Let’s cut to the chase: we are here to inform you that Master has invited you. Three days from now, we will host a banquet at the Recruitment Platform to discuss cooperation!" The Masked Man stated.
At this moment, Xiao Yefeng felt a surge of joy because Master had finally fallen into his trap. What he wanted was for Master to propose cooperation. This was also the reason why he had led his team to destroy Perfect World’s bases and eliminate its members over these past twenty days! Because of this, many organizations that joined Perfect World chose to remain cautious, fearing they might provoke Xiao Yefeng's team!
Moreover, this slaughter had allowed Xiao Yefeng to discover and continuously disrupt Perfect World’s organization that supplied ultimate warriors for the God of Sorcery. If this continued, they would be unable to report back to the God of Sorcery. Thus, they could only rely on their current advantage to negotiate with Xiao Yefeng!
However favorable the situation seemed for him, Xiao Yefeng could not give them face. He directly stated, "But why should I agree to your invitation? In just over twenty days, I have located four of your ultimate warrior storage sites and burned a thousand ultimate warriors! If this continues, I will directly sabotage your plans!"
The Masked Man chuckled softly and said, "That’s true; however, we were able to find out your imminent return location to Huaxia. Do you think you can continue? Moreover, we already know where your family in Huaxia and your friends hiding in the African savanna are! Don’t you want to consider them? We have quite an interest in those two children!"
The Masked Man burned several photos in front of Xiao Yefeng. The images depicted Xiao Moran training, Xiao Mohan playing in the water, Liu Qing and Mu Ding strolling in the park, and the Heishan family gathered around a fire in Grandpa Xiao's village. The photos were taken from a close distance, clearly showing they were nearby. As soon as these photos appeared, Xiao Yefeng exploded with rage!

Just then, the Beast Elder finally made his move. With a flick of his Ancient Jade Staff, a black-gray ghostly figure appeared before his sword and exploded violently, forcing Xiao Yefeng back and staggering the Masked Man. However, Xiao Yefeng would not let this opportunity slip away; as the Masked Man retreated, the Beast Elder was left exposed. The Beast Elder was pushed back while Xiao Yefeng hurled his Yin-Yang Sword like a dart, aiming for the Beast Elder's vital point!
"You!" roared the Beast Elder as he threw down his Ancient Jade Staff. In an instant, the staff was pierced by the Yin-Yang Sword and exploded upon impact. The Yin-Yang Sword returned to Xiao Yefeng's hand under his control technique. The Beast Elder coughed up blood due to the destruction of his staff but was fortunately caught by several armored Ultimate Warriors behind him.
Holding the Yin-Yang Sword upside down, Xiao Yefeng stood firm against the wind. In this exchange, he had gained the upper hand against two opponents. However, he sensed that the Masked Man's strength seemed unchanged since their encounter at the Nine-Tiered Demon Tower—a peculiar observation that he chose to ignore.
Meanwhile, the Beast Elder struggled to suppress the Qi surging within him that threatened to damage his meridians and stood up to say, "Alright! Don't get too worked up; we in Perfect World have our own way of dealing with things. We are not here to fight; will you accept negotiations?"
"Show some sincerity if you want to negotiate! You were the ones who threatened my family first!" replied Xiao Yefeng.
"Fine! State your demands!" The Beast Elder had just sustained serious injuries and was still bleeding from his mouth.
"Heal my teammates and return them to me!" demanded Xiao Yefeng.
"Impossible!" Before Xiao Yefeng could finish speaking, the Masked Man interjected. "They have already been delivered to our Master; we cannot take them back! And I believe you know that Ultimate Warriors cannot be revived—they are all living dead!"
"We came with sincerity; do not push us too far! Present acceptable terms!" The Beast Elder had no choice but to soften his stance since revealing the Masked Man's secret was temporarily off-limits. Without exposing this secret, no one here could match Xiao Yefeng.
Xiao Yefeng nodded in agreement and said, "Return Mo Fei to us; otherwise, there will be no negotiations!"
Unexpectedly, both the Masked Man and the Beast Elder agreed, saying, "Then it's settled! We'll meet at the Recruitment Platform in three days!"
With that, the Masked Man led the Beast Elder and others away, disappearing from sight in an instant. At that moment, Han Duhuo asked, "Major Xiao, why didn't you just keep them here?"
"No way! I am confident I can take down the Beast Elder, but this Masked Man... I know he is not as weak as he appeared today. Soon after, Peng Weiguo's welcoming team arrived, and Xiao Yefeng and the others boarded a plane back to Huaxia.
After more than twenty battles, Xiao Yefeng's heart could not find rest, which also allowed him to forget his sorrow for a while. After briefing them on everything and discussing the next steps of their plan, Xiao Yefeng returned home with heavy footsteps. He had already informed the current Supreme Commander of his plans; there was no other solution available. After discussing among themselves, they decided to keep this information confidential. Only those who participated in the mission and a few from the Supreme Commander knew about it. Although the Supreme Commander strongly advised against it, he also understood that this was the only way forward.
