I searched for a while and finally saw Ke'er’s soul drifting beside Jianjian.
But I never had the chance to get close.
Chen San urged me to leave, but I couldn't leave just yet.
I waited for an opportunity. Upon seeing Ke'er’s soul, I quickly attached my Light Spot to her soul.
Then, I swiftly brought the soul out from the Sea of Souls.
Once outside, Ke'er’s soul was finally complete. All the souls gathered together.
However, I had become a Light Spot. The Light Spot fell onto my own body. The Clay Bodhisattva I had brought out was on the verge of disintegration.
I returned to my body, but I couldn't move.
Wang Wei rushed towards me, holding the Wind Tree, but at that moment, the voice of the Clay Bodhisattva echoed again.
"Saning Brother, I'm not dead yet." However, the voice of the Clay Bodhisattva had weakened significantly. Upon hearing this voice, Wang Wei hurriedly picked up the Clay Bodhisattva.
The Clay Bodhisattva instructed Wang Wei to let go. After saying this, the Clay Bodhisattva slowly transformed into the Golden Bodhisattva, and then I heard a chant of Sutra.
Buddhism embodies great compassion and mercy.
At that moment, I felt a presence spreading across my back; all the souls in the Swamp of Death began to rise, but what remained was all sorrow.
They seemed to be missing Yiyan.
Yet the chanting of Sutra by the Clay Bodhisattva resonated with them, allowing them to feel the emotions Yiyan had when he recited the Sutra back then.
The Clay Bodhisattva said, "Saning Brother, I remember now. I wasn't created by Third Uncle. I was molded by you three hundred years ago by the riverbank."
The Clay Bodhisattva seemed to have become more composed.
“Saning Brother, I remember now.”
Clay Bodhisattva recalled, and I too remembered. It was the Clay Bodhisattva I had conjured by the river three hundred years ago.
After recalling these memories, Clay Bodhisattva suddenly said to me, “Saning Brother, my name is Jiaolin. You must remember that.”
I assured him that I would.
Once Clay Bodhisattva finished speaking, a golden light spread out, enveloping all the souls—those that had been silent in the Swamp of Death for thousands of years.
But after the golden light dissipated, there was no further response; Clay Bodhisattva had vanished. His last words echoed in my mind: “My name is Jiaolin. Saning Brother, you must remember me.”
It seemed that my remaining Light Spot was also fading away, but in the next moment, it stabilized. All the souls on the Underworld Road surged toward me.
This time they came to me, not just into my eyes, as the white eye had already left me.
The souls attached to me were not my own. I stood up from the ground and took a glance; it felt truly strange. Looking at the vanishing golden light, I spoke to it, “Jiaolin, I will always remember you.”
I sighed; it felt as if I had been reborn. The white eye remained with me and hadn’t left. Above me, Wang Wei said, “Saning, your eyes need blood.”
I nodded without hesitation, knowing that each drop of blood would make me stronger. I had two drops left. Without any doubt, as the intense pain from the sixth drop faded away, I proceeded with the seventh. The seventh was an unparalleled agony, but once I endured it...
I felt as if I were on the brink of death. I scratched myself, yet I had indeed grown stronger—stronger than ever before.
I tore through the Sea of Souls and entered.
At that moment, Chen San's soul was being held by Jianjian.
Jianjian looked at me in surprise as I entered with a physical form.
Then he said, “You all want me to revive you? Then let me show you what death feels like.”
Chen San was directly abandoned, and Jianjian approached me. I welcomed her, feeling as if my soul was being engulfed, but in the end, I shattered that soul.
During my duel with Jianjian, I suddenly sensed the presence of my grandmother's soul within the one she controlled.
I was instantly filled with rage. Had something happened to my grandmother's soul as well?
I glanced at Jianjian and asked, "How many people have you killed?"
Jianjian replied, "Countless. Anyone related to you is a target, including Fat Zhang."
Damn it, Fat Zhang could be considered my enemy. If she intended to kill him too, she was truly ruthless. Blood continued to flow from my eyes.
For the next several days, Jianjian and I battled in this Sea of Souls.
Jianjian was surprised and said, "You no longer have your Byakugan; how are you still so strong?"
At first, I didn't know either, but later I understood. The souls within me weren't mine; they were merely attached to me—not for my sake but perhaps for Jiaolin's. And I wasn't fighting for myself; I was fighting for Ke'er, for my grandmother, and for everyone connected to me.
They could also be considered enemies.
Jianjian became obsessive or perhaps too fixated. During our later encounters, the souls rapidly dissipated. Jianjian attempted to kill me, and in the end, her Byakugan actually swallowed my soul.
My soul left my body and entered her eye; the last remnants of my essence followed suit.
Damn it, I was doomed. But once inside her eye, I settled down. I endured.
Then the Sea of Souls began to close in. It seemed like Ke'er had awakened; in my daze, I thought I heard her call me "Husband."
Ke'er had awakened.
I was certain of it. Suddenly, I felt a wave of fatigue wash over me as Jianjian laughed maniacally.
Then I heard crying; even Wang Wei was sobbing uncontrollably. Ke'er called out to me as "Husband" and began walking toward Jianjian.
In that moment, I shouted for Ke'er not to come closer. My soul felt even stranger within the white eye.
However, Ke'er disregarded her safety and ran towards Jianjian, even as my soul suffered further damage.
I called out to Ke'er, but it was as if she couldn't hear me.
At that moment, I heard Jianjian say, "Lin Ke'er, Saning is dead. Do you want to go down and accompany him? Your hundreds of years of entanglement end here today."
After she spoke those words, I unexpectedly found myself merging with the white eye again. Then Jianjian attempted to kill Ke'er, and I panicked, flying directly out from Jianjian's gaze.
In an instant, Jianjian let out a scream, her soul rapidly dispersing. She emitted a piercing cry of despair.
Then I thought to myself, how could this happen? How could this happen?
I helped Ke'er up, and my soul restored itself once more.
Meanwhile, Jianjian was in a state of collapse. Looking at her in that condition, I finally said, "What isn't yours will never be yours. Even if you obtained the white eye, what can you do? It still returns to me."
Ke'er called out to me as Husband, and I reassured her not to worry.
Jianjian was now merely a dying ember, still trying to force her soul together. But I didn't give her the chance; I directly devoured Jianjian's soul.
I consumed it in a land of death, leading to her complete and permanent demise.
Jianjian's soul quickly dissipated until it revealed its true form—the Reincarnation Flower, the very flower I had been searching for. Seeing the Reincarnation Flower made me somewhat excited. I carefully stored the Soul Flower; this time I could use the Revival Pearl—how could I not be thrilled?
Yet many had died.
I sighed, but at that moment, I heard someone call my name—it was Chen San. Miraculously, Chen San was still alive.
Only Clay Bodhisattva had perished, along with my grandmother.
But when I was feeling sentimental, my grandmother's spirit suddenly appeared. I called out to her, "Grandma," and she smiled at me. I said, "Grandma, are you okay?"
Grandma smiled and said, "Ningzi, I'm fine. You need to take good care of Ke'er. Grandma is going to Reincarnation." I called out to her again.
At that moment, I was on the Underworld Road, which led directly to Reincarnation, so I didn't stop her.
Grandma walked into the Underworld.
Wang Wei was holding a Clay Bodhisattva.
I took the Reincarnation Flower with me and left the Underworld Road. I first called my parents.
I initially thought something might have happened to them, but it turned out they were fine. When they answered the phone and heard my voice, I felt a weight lift off my heart.
In the following month or so, I searched for Ke'er's body.
With Chen San's help, I brought Ke'er back to life. Then I crafted another Clay Bodhisattva.
Ke'er came over and called me "Husband." I no longer hid my true self; I am who I am. I am a White-Eyed Person, and that is simply what I am. There is no need for me to hide.
