“Sir, you should apply some medicine,” A-Shan said as he placed the medicine box on Jin Chengyan's desk. The office had just been tidied up by the secretary, and from the perspective of destruction, Jin Chengyan and Yan Beiting's previous encounter was hardly a minor incident.
Jin Chengyan glared at A-Shan, his anger intensifying. “You come to me without having investigated the matter thoroughly? When did your work ethic become so poor?”
A-Shan lowered his head, knowing he couldn't tell Jin Chengyan that he had driven like a madman to find Jono after hearing that recording, and later confronted Jono.
Later, A-Shan discovered that although Jono had been dining at the hotel that night, he was there as an escort. Moreover, President Zhao's initial target was not Ruan Shengyu but Jono. While this didn't completely clear her of suspicion, it did lessen it significantly.
“What happened just now? How did that hypocrite Yan Beiting manage to take Jono away? Do they know each other?”
“I don’t know,” A-Shan replied honestly.
“How can you not know anything? What do you know?” Jin Chengyan was nearly driven to the brink of fury by A-Shan’s lack of information.
“Miss Ruan has already met with the Third Young Master.”
Suddenly, Jin Chengyan swept everything off his desk onto the floor. It had just been organized!
“Sir…”
“Shut up, get out!”
“What about Miss Qiao…”
“Get lost!” Jin Chengyan shouted, expelling A-Shan from the office.
A-Shan dared not say another word and quietly left the office.
Jin Chengyan was nearly beside himself with anger. How could both Ruan Shengyu and Jono be connected to Yan Beiting? Why, after all these years, did Ruan Shengyu still feel compelled to meet him upon learning that Yan Beiting had returned?

Yan Beiting leaned against the car door, looking at Jono.

It seems that this is indeed the case.

So he really is from the Yan Family.
It's true that the Yan Family and Jin Family are family friends, so Jin Chengyan and Yan Beiting cannot be enemies.
