“Ding dong~” The doorbell rang, and Xu Lin put down the red potion.
“It must be Jin Shao. I’ll take my leave now.” Xu Lin was afraid of facing Jin Chengyan.
“Okay, thank you.” Ruan Shengyu nodded slightly.

Ruan Shengyu smiled self-deprecatingly.
Who doesn't know that our Yan San is a well-known gentleman? As long as the woman has met him more than once, he will definitely bring flowers, making her feel warm and considerate.
However, our Yan San has never given Ruan Shengyu a single flower, not even one.
He made it clear that he wanted to keep their relationship distinct.
"Let's go inside first!" Without waiting for Yan Beiting to respond, Ruan Shengyu walked straight into the living room.
Otherwise, their conversation might very well take place at the entrance.

"I haven't returned to Qin Cheng in six years, not because I truly fear the Jin Family or Ayan, but because I believe that our families and my friendship with him are more important than anything else."
Ruan Shengyu understood perfectly well that "anything else" referred to her feelings for him.
Hearing him say this made Ruan Shengyu feel utterly heartbroken, yet her expression remained calm and unruffled.
"Ayan loves you very much; everyone close to him knows that. I don't want you to ruin both of your happiness because of your obsession. Also, please stop targeting Jono; she has nothing to do with Ayan." In truth, Yan Beiting wasn't even sure if Jono had any connection with Jin Chengyan.
But he stubbornly believed that there was absolutely no relationship between them.
Ruan Shengyu had never seen such an expression on Yan Beiting's face, one that was so protective of a girl.
Was it about Jono?

"If you came all this way just for this, then it was a wasted trip," Ruan Shengyu said with a charming smile.
"Let's hope so." He was always distant and indifferent towards others.
At that moment, the door was pushed open from the outside, startling Ruan Shengyu.
