As Jin Chengyan's car just pulled out of Jin Family Villa, a black vehicle suddenly appeared, blocking his way without any warning. If it weren't for the car's excellent performance, he would have likely crashed into it.
Yan'an City stepped out of the car, slamming the door shut behind him. He walked directly to Jin Chengyan's window and knocked on it.
"Get out." Yan'an City had never been this rude to Jin Chengyan before. What had gotten into him today?
However, Jin Chengyan was also feeling the heat. Jono was planning to have a child without considering her own safety, and he was in a race against time to find her! No matter where she hid, he would track her down!
He opened the car door and stepped out. "What is it?" He glanced at his watch; now was the time to confront Xiao Yuanshan, using both soft and hard tactics to see if he would help.
Yan'an City shoved several photos against Jin Chengyan's chest. "Is this what you call my Brother Three? This man—his name is Yan Beiting?"
Jin Chengyan took the photos, which depicted a frail Chinese man in Africa. The name was indeed Yan Beiting, but the person in the picture was not him.
"Liu Er, I don't have the energy to discuss this right now; I have other matters to attend to." Initially, Yan Beiting had sought out Jin Chengyan alone for a reason that Jin Chengyan could only guess at.
First, the situation with the Yan Family was unclear. If he told Yan'an City, he might not be able to keep it from his grandfather.
If he contacted Second Brother, it was likely that they would deal with Yan Beiting before his secrets were exposed.
Secondly, Yan Beiting seemed to want to convey that he could give up everything for Jono, urging Jin Chengyan to treat her well and instilling a sense of guilt within him.
What a character Yan Beiting was.
"I found out that Ye Yun has been abroad for the past four years with an unidentified man. Who is that man? What do you really know? I know that even if Brother Three hides things from everyone else, he won't be able to hide them from you. The bond between you two is deeper than that of brothers; you've been entangled for so many years."
Yet when one of them was in danger, they would go all out to help each other.
Time passed slowly, and Jin Chengyan knew that every wasted minute reduced his chances of finding Jono.
However, he also understood that Yan'an City would not have come to him so recklessly unless they had discovered something significant.
Despite Yan'an City's usual demeanor of being detached from worldly affairs, carefree and unruly, if he truly cared about something, he would exert every ounce of effort to investigate it.
Jin Chengyan himself did not invest energy in the journey ahead; he looked down upon competing with the Yan Family for the position of heir. Otherwise, Yan Beiting might not even have a chance.

Yan'an City had reasons to be angry. Watching his grandfather grow increasingly frail and seeing the chaos at home due to Yan Beiting's prolonged absence forced him into this messy situation against his will.
However, knowing that Yan Beiting was safe for now eased Yan'an City's heart.
After this confrontation with Yan'an City, Jin Chengyan found himself surprisingly calm once he got into the car. The vehicle was not headed toward Xiao Yuanshan but was instead driving toward Qiao Family Villa.
If Jono was leaving, would he really leave Qiao Lovely behind? It was impossible for him to have a baby and just abandon Qiao Lovely!
When the car arrived at Qiao Family Villa, before it even came to a complete stop, Jin Chengyan jumped out and headed straight for the entrance.
To his surprise, the guard refused him entry, claiming he did not recognize Jin Chengyan and would not let him in!
If a mere guard could stop him, then what was the point of being called Jin Chengyan?
He pushed open the door and walked inside, ignoring the security guard's startled shout behind him, who was about to call the police. Finding Jono was the priority!
As he entered the living room, he was surprised to find Jin Mengxi there as well. How could she be here?
Seeing Jin Chengyan, Jin Mengxi looked equally bewildered. After all, she had never properly discussed the situation with Qiao Chen with her brother. Was he here to drag her back home?
"Brother..." Jin Mengxi called out to Jin Chengyan softly.
Upon seeing her there, Jin Chengyan momentarily forgot why he had come. "What are you doing here? Are you with Qiao Chen?"
Honestly, how could Jin Mengxi not remember what Qiao Chen had done to hurt her?
"I..." Jin Mengxi stammered, unsure of how to explain herself to Jin Chengyan.
At that moment, Qiao Chen was nowhere to be found, but Qiao Lovely came running from the kitchen, holding a cute water cup. Upon seeing Jin Chengyan, she dashed over.
"Daddy, you finally came to see me! I missed you so much!" Qiao Lovely exclaimed. It had been a long time since she last saw Jin Chengyan. "I thought you didn't love me anymore because you didn't come to see me."
Jin Chengyan felt a pang of affection at her words, but his mind was occupied with something else...
Jono had left without taking Qiao Lovely with him. Had she decided to hide away somewhere no one could find her to have this child?
How desperately did she want to give birth to this child?
Jin Chengyan shot a glare at Jin Mengxi; he would talk to her about her situation later.
He crouched down and ruffled Qiao Lovely's hair, trying his best to keep his tone sounding normal.
"Sweetheart, did your mommy call you to say where she is?"
Qiao Lovely thought hard for a moment and then shook her head. "No, Mommy hasn't come back since she went out with Godmother yesterday. I slept alone last night, and Mommy didn't read me a bedtime story. She needs to make it up to me today."
Jin Chengyan frowned. Jono had suddenly disappeared without a trace, not even bothering to call Qiao Lovely.
"What's wrong? Did you and Mommy have another fight? Is she ignoring you?" Although she had never seen them argue, she felt that the atmosphere between them was a bit strange.
Jin Chengyan pinched Qiao Lovely's cheek. "No, you're overthinking it. How about you come stay with Daddy for a couple of days? I can take care of you."
"Okay! I’ve never stayed with Daddy before; it sounds like so much fun!" Qiao Lovely clapped her hands excitedly. "But I need to tell Mommy and Little Daddy first, or they will worry about me."
That’s right; he was just worried that Qiao Lovely wouldn’t inform Jono.
Qiao Lovely obediently sat on the edge of the sofa to make the call while Jin Chengyan watched her every move.
Jin Chengyan's behavior puzzled Jin Mengxi, who quietly asked him, "Brother, what happened with Sister Qiao? She didn’t come back all night yesterday..."
Seeing Jin Chengyan so indirectly trying to find Jono made her think that things were not as simple as they seemed.
However, Jin Chengyan shot Jin Mengxi a cold glance. "How do you know Jono didn’t come back last night? Were you here all night? Where’s Qiao Chen?"
The question successfully shifted the focus onto Jin Mengxi, making her feel like she was in hot water.
"Tell me, where is Qiao Chen?" Perhaps Qiao Chen knew where Jono was, and this protective brother might hide Jono away.
Yet, there was also a possibility that after learning about Jono's pregnancy, Qiao Chen might share the same concerns—believing that Jono's body couldn't handle having another child.
Children are not irreplaceable; only Jono is irreplaceable!
Jin Mengxi hesitated, not clearly telling Jin Chengyan where Qiao Chen was at that moment.
“Jin Mengxi, this matter concerns Jono's life and death. You need to tell me quickly.”
Jin Mengxi didn’t realize that Qiao Chen's search for that woman also related to Jono's life and death, but seeing her brother so anxious, she could only say, “Qiao Chen went to find his ex-girlfriend.”

"Qiao Chen, tell me where your sister is. She might do something reckless alone."

What worried him was leaving Jono alone outside without anyone to take care of her. How could she take care of herself while pregnant?

Afterward, Jin Chengyan packed a few of Qiao Lovely's clothes and daily necessities and took her away...
On the car, Qiao Lovely was unusually excited, feeling that she would be living with her daddy soon. In a few days, would mommy be coming back too?
It was at this moment that the phone rang. Jin Chengyan saw the incoming call and answered it without hesitation, wearing a Bluetooth headset.
"Ayan, I'm going to Canada. I might never come back. Take care." Yan Beiting's voice came through the phone.
Well, it was not surprising that he would leave, especially after just having a conversation with Yan'an City. Staying in Qin Cheng held no meaning for him anymore, especially since he had decided to cut ties with the Yan Family.
But at this moment, Jin Chengyan took a deep breath and glanced at Qiao Lovely, who was sitting in the backseat in her child seat, looking out at the scenery. He whispered, "Jono is missing again."

After everything that had happened, Jin Chengyan realized he could speak freely to someone—someone like Yan Beiting.
"Then what do you mean? What else can I do? I'm heading to Canada right now. Do you expect me to stay behind and help you find Jono?" Although he said that, at the airport, just as Yan Beiting was about to hand his passport to the airport staff, he pulled his hand back.
Ye Yun behind him looked stunned. What kind of trouble was Yan Beiting getting into this time?
"She... is pregnant."
"Oh..." Yan Beiting nodded unconsciously, but suddenly thought of something. "Isn't her health not great? How can she be pregnant?"
"That's why I told her to terminate the pregnancy."
"No wonder." Yan Beiting shook his head and gave Ye Yun a look, indicating that they weren't in a hurry to go to Canada and could discuss it later.

This was the first time Ye Yun had lost his temper with Yan Beiting after all this time.
The reason they chose to go to Canada instead of anywhere else was that the air quality there was good, and the medical environment was excellent. It would allow Yan Beiting to recuperate properly. Otherwise, given his current state, lasting another two years would already be a stretch.
"Stop talking about life and death; it's unlucky. Didn't you say you haven't been back to Qin Cheng for a long time? Why don't we stay in Qin Cheng for a few more days? Isn't that better?" Now it felt more like Ye Yun was the boss and Yan Beiting the subordinate. Ye Yun was angry, and Yan Beiting didn't dare raise his voice, trying to appease him instead.

"You really are something!" Ye Yun sighed in exasperation. "I'll give you ten days. After ten days, you must go to Canada for treatment; otherwise, I won't take care of you anymore!"
It was a threat without any real intimidation. Yan Beiting hooked his arm around Ye Yun's shoulder as they walked toward the exit.
"Admit it; you want to stay in Qin Cheng too."
Ye Yun did not want to talk to Yan Beiting. He felt a bit tipsy himself. Over the past four years, he had been more concerned about Yan Beiting's well-being than Yan Beiting himself. He knew when Yan Beiting needed surgery, when he needed treatment, what he could eat, and what he should avoid. Ye Yun was far more aware of these things than Yan Beiting.
They said it would be ten days, but he really had no idea how long Yan Beiting would stay here. Just a moment ago, he heard him on the phone saying that Jono was missing.
Perhaps they would only leave once Jono was found.
Or maybe not even then; Yan Beiting would only feel at ease when he saw Jono happy.
But Jono's happiness was not something Yan Beiting could control, so it seemed that he would be trapped in Jono's shadow for his entire life.
Ye Yun wondered if Yan Beiting had owed something to Jono and Jin Chengyan in a past life.
The two of them stepped out from where they had been and prepared to hail a cab.
"Over there, look..." Ye Yun suddenly grabbed Yan Beiting's hand and pointed in a direction.
Yan Beiting stopped and followed Ye Yun's finger. He saw a woman in a long coat with her head down, wearing a hat that was blown off by the wind as she got out of the car.
When she fixed her hair, Yan Beiting recognized her face.
"Jono," he called softly. "You have good eyesight," he teased lightly.
"Listen, Yan Beiting, once we hand her over to Jin Chengyan, we're leaving. Ten days? Forget it!" Ye Yun was already thinking about calling Jin Chengyan to quickly hand Jono over so everything could come to an end.
But Yan Beiting grabbed Ye Yun's wrist.
"Let's wait and see what she does," he said. He could actually understand Jono's desire to have a child.
Four years ago, when he brought Jono out, it was the moment she learned that her child was gone. The despair in her eyes still lingered in Yan Beiting's mind.
Now that Jono had a child, she must have been determined to do everything possible to keep the baby.
It was no surprise that Jono left Jin Chengyan when he mentioned terminating the pregnancy.
Both of them wanted to protect their most precious things, but unfortunately, they couldn't reach an agreement.
However, Ye Yun was about to go crazy. What would Yan Beiting do?
"Ayan will find Jono and make her go under the knife. If that happens, she will never forgive him. There might actually be a way to resolve this."

The two followed Jono and saw her at the self-service ticket machine, retrieving her ticket before heading toward security.
Fortunately, Yan Beiting also had a ticket in hand and smoothly passed through security, following her to Gate 35 where she waited to board the plane.
This flight was headed for Shanghai. It seemed she was smart enough to know that big cities had better medical facilities.
However, flying made it easier for Jin Chengyan to track her down.
"Here, I got two tickets for the same flight as hers," Ye Yun said, handing over the tickets.
But Yan Beiting took both tickets and tore one of them apart... tore it apart...
"You go find Ayan and tell him to hold off for now. Wait for my news."
Ye Yun looked at Jono, who was sitting quietly and waiting for takeoff, then glanced at Yan Beiting, confirming that he was not joking.
"You have to give me some time alone with Jono, right? Can't you fulfill this wish of mine?" Yan Beiting said, his tone laced with a hint of teasing, but mostly sincerity.
Ye Yun could see that Yan Beiting wanted to avoid any regrets, and he had no other way to help him.
"To love someone who doesn't love you is like trying to wake someone who is pretending to be asleep. Take care of yourself." This was Ye Yun's final advice to Yan Beiting.
