Every creature is deeply attached to life, striving to survive. No matter how perilous the environment, there are always unexpected beings that manage to exist there, growing tenaciously and persistently. 0

Now, a few people had lost track of how many Stone Paths they had walked. Ahead lay another bend, and they reluctantly proceeded onward. 0

When Seven lit the lantern, he was startled. 0

The orderly rooms stood solemnly on either side. 0

It was yet another long corridor, but this time the difference was that both sides were lined with rooms. The width of the Stone Path remained about a meter. 0

Third took a step up the stairs, and immediately a chill swept over him, so cold it made his heart tremble. Seven felt it too, and ahead lay nothing but darkness. 0

Wang Er Gou remarked that it felt eerie in there. It wasn't until the last person, Second, stepped inside that the atmosphere shifted. 0

Seven had already lit the lanterns; the light gradually brightened, revealing the entire scene to their eyes. 0

Two rows of houses stood neatly aligned, and this was just along this path. 0

Previously, they had all speculated about what this place could be. Wang Er Gou suggested it was an escape route. Third thought it might be a shelter. Seven guessed there might be treasures hidden here. 0

However, none of them expected to find so many empty rooms. 0

Third said, "This is a prison cell," and as his words fell, they all felt an involuntary shiver run down their spines. 0

"Damn it, the history of this prison must be significant," Seven commented. 0

"This is a place where people are imprisoned until death, locked away for a lifetime," Second added. It was truly terrifying! 0

Inside the room, there were skeletons; some had already decayed into ashes, enough to show how long this place had endured. 0

Second tried to open the cell door, but there was no response. 0

"These iron chains are forged from fine steel; they can't be opened," Seven said. 0

Second pulled out his gun. "Let's not disturb the peace of the dead any further," Wang Er Gou remarked. 0

With no other choice, Second reluctantly put his gun away. 0

There were a total of ten cells along this corridor, and inside, five skeletons lay. The other cells were empty. 0

From this, it was clear that only five people had been imprisoned in this dungeon. 0

Moreover, they had been locked away for a lifetime without ever being released, enduring this cold and damp environment. "It's worse than being dead!" Second exclaimed. 0

But he didn't realize that when faced with death, humans desire to survive more than any other creature. Humans are strange beings; they can be the most despicable or the most noble. They can become gods or turn into ghosts. 0

The group stood still, gazing at the cells. Suddenly, Seven shouted as he noticed something. 0

They gathered around as Seven pointed out what he had found. In the straw on the floor of one cell, a deep blue object was partially visible. 0

However, they couldn't make out exactly what it was. 0

"This might be a clue to uncovering these people's identities," Wang Er Gou said. This was crucial for them! 0

Second was no longer polite; he drew his handgun and fired several shots at the steel lock until it finally came off. 0

Seven picked up the green object and discovered it was a book, decayed beyond recognition with time—a fragment of a book! 0

He looked at the blue cover where several characters were written in flowing script: "Feng Shui World." It was an ancient text on feng shui. 0

Upon hearing the term "feng shui," Wang Er Gou stepped closer, and Seven handed the book to him. 0

Third had crouched down to examine the white skeleton. As a medical student, he touched the skeleton, and to his surprise, it crumbled into a pile of ashes with just a gentle touch. 0

Third hesitated for a moment. At that time, Seven spoke up, "This can be considered a form of release, I suppose." 0

Feeling relieved, Third said, "This skeleton has been here for hundreds of years." 0

"The person who built this cell must have been a psychopath," Second couldn't help but exclaim. "Such methods are incredibly cruel." 0

Meanwhile, Wang Er Gou was flipping through a book, his gaze shifting with each page turn as he murmured, "This is an astonishing book." 0

Upon hearing this, Seven walked over to Wang Er Gou. At that moment, Wang Er Gou closed the book, having only skimmed through it briefly. He was so astonished that he lost his composure. 0

Excitement flickered across Wang Er Gou's face as he handed the book to Seven and the others to take a look. 0

Third couldn't help but lean in as well. The first chapter was titled “Illusion of Heaven Technique” in bold letters. 0

Seven was also surprised but not as animated as Wang Er Gou. The other two— Second was merely curious while Third maintained a calm expression. 0

Each had their own area of expertise. 0

Seven asked, "Master Ergou, didn't you say that the 'Illusion of Heaven Technique' had almost vanished? How has it reappeared?" 0

The excitement in Wang Er Gou had yet to subside. He pointed to where the skeleton had been and said, "This must have been left behind by that renowned Feng Shui master." 0

Seven nodded and continued flipping through the pages. The next chapter was titled “Revival Technique.” 0

Upon seeing this term, Seven glanced at the content below. It read: “When a person has just died and is in a state of false death, if buried in an optimal location, one can seize the great fortune of heaven and earth to extend their essence and continue their Underworld Fate.” 0

At this moment, Seven could hardly contain his excitement as he continued reading. Although he only understood a little about Feng Shui, the following content was filled with many specialized terms. 0

Seven returned the book to Wang Er Gou, feeling only half-understood. Second averted their gaze, and Third did too, as the previous content stirred something within Third. 0

However, as they continued reading, they fell silent. 0

Second asked, "What does Underworld Fate mean?" 0

Carefully closing the book, Wang Er Gou replied, "Underworld Fate refers to Yin Fate. To put it simply, it means the fate of the souls of the dead." 0

"What's the point of extending the lives of the dead?" 0

Wang Er Gou continued, "Some people, after they die, want to continue enjoying the same treatment they had in life. After death, they seek Reincarnation." 0

"They're just delaying their Reincarnation, allowing them to continue enjoying wealth and glory in the underworld as if they were still alive." 0

"However, this kind of 'technique' is impossible to achieve. The requirements written in Feng Shui World are fundamentally unachievable. So whether this 'Revival Technique' is real or not remains uncertain," Wang Er Gou explained in one breath. 0

The others understood somewhat. Second remarked, "You really have some extreme methods for dealing with the dead." 0

Wang Er Gou replied, "This is a result of various needs." The group could not disagree with Wang Er Gou's statement. "Yes, where there are needs, there will be someone providing services." 0

As the saying goes: "Money can make the devil push a millstone." 0

Suddenly, Wang Er Gou said, "I once saw the four characters Underworld Fate in Feng Shui Record, but it stated that it was about helping souls find peace and achieving Reincarnation. This is completely opposite to what is written in this book, Feng Shui World!" 0

Seven suggested, "Could it be that there are two factions within Feng Shui?" 0

This was something Wang Er Gou couldn't deny either, as he only had a vague understanding of the Feng Shui School from what his master had taught him. 0

Wang Er Gou responded, "It's not impossible! The history of Feng Shui spans thousands of years. There are many things that remain unclear." 0

"This is also an Ancient and Vast Sect, but its teachings have never been revealed to the outside world. Even his master learned Feng Shui through self-study. 0

Now, there are very few people on this continent who truly understand Feng Shui. At least, there aren't many who are visible on the surface. Most are just charlatans! 0

Wang Er Gou carefully stored away the ancient text, Feng Shui World. 0

First, they needed to find a way out. Looking at the skeletons in the cell made one reflect; no one wants to be trapped in a room without sunlight until death. 0

The four of them did not linger in the narrow corridor filled with cells. There was still an untraveled path ahead, which gave them hope of escape. 0

If the path led to the cell door, it would indeed be a dead end. The thought sent shivers down their spines! So many had perished here before them. 0

Another turn came, and they found themselves on yet another Stone Path. 0

Seven continued to lead the way, lighting lamps one after another, their flames illuminating what might have been a thousand years of darkness in this underground space! Or perhaps it was better described as an Underground Prison Cell! The environment here was becoming increasingly damp, with water droplets seeping from the walls of the Stone Path. With each breath, they could feel the moisture in the air. 0

They turned again and descended some steps. 0

The Stone Path wound down like a mountain road, spiraling downward. 0

"I'm getting a bit dizzy from all this turning," Second remarked. In such circumstances, even speaking felt somewhat gloomy! The group's spirits were low. 0

Seven said ahead, "If there are no valuable antiques at the bottom, this will really suck." 0

At the back, Second shouted, "Damn it! If it's a dead end down there, we'll end up like those skeletons above!" 0

Their footsteps echoed in the confined space, creating a symphony that was the only sound in this oppressive environment. Occasionally, a drop of water would fall from the walls or ceiling, reverberating as it hit the ground. 0

Third felt uncertain now too. Previously focused on uncovering the secrets of this place, he hadn't considered that once they entered, they might not be able to leave." 0

When the fire broke out before, perhaps a few people managed to escape safely behind the collapsed roof. Now, they found themselves dragged into this predicament by their own actions. 0

Maybe it was because he had been too anxious. For so many years, he had not pursued that matter, constantly moving around without ever considering the feelings of others. 0

Third raised his eyes and glanced at a few people, thinking to himself: I shouldn't involve them! They are innocent! Another voice chimed in: They are all your brothers, bound by deep ties. After all these years, you have been alone and weary. 0

Finally, this struggle faded away with a sigh from Third. 0

Yes, we are brothers! 0

As they continued onward, they discovered a thin layer of water pooling on the ground. 0

"It seems the Stone Path can no longer contain the moisture below," Seven remarked. "If we go further down, the water will likely deepen." 0

Suddenly, Seven realized that they were inside a mountain. 0

Typically, wells are dug in flat areas. It is nearly impossible to find water within a mountain. After taking so many twists and turns and descending numerous steps, they should be nearing the base of the mountain. Someone must have hollowed out the entire mountain—what an ambitious endeavor. 0

Seven shared his deductions with the group. 0

The others were somewhat surprised. Second asked, "So we are currently inside this mountain?" 0

Seven nodded heavily. It sounded a bit unbelievable! But that was indeed the reality. 0
