"Water?" Seven muttered. 0

Third nodded, "What can this water do for us?" Seven voiced the question that lingered in his mind. 0

Third pointed at White Python and said, "We can ask it." 0

"Looks like we really have to rely on this stinky snake now!" 0

Wang Er Gou felt a bit anxious. Could they really trust this creature and make it out alive? But for now, they had no choice but to take things one step at a time. 0

Third was thinking along the same lines. Taking it step by step was the only option; staying in their current situation for too long would surely be detrimental. Even if they managed to ascend, the stone wall that had opened before might not do so again. 0

Going down meant risking suffocation, which could lead to their bodies being scattered. Third glanced at White Python, which seemed to understand his concerns and blinked at him. 0

Third voiced his biggest doubt, "Is there definitely an exit below?" White Python hesitated for a moment but then firmly blinked its eyes. This strengthened Third's resolve. 0

Wang Er Gou asked, "How can we avoid the issue of suffocation?" White Python continued to wriggle, "How exactly can this water help us?" 0

This was the most pressing issue they needed to resolve. 0

They needed to unify their thoughts before taking action. 0

Second spoke up, "This creature has probably been here for quite some time. If there were an exit, why hasn't it left?" 0

Upon hearing this, White Python seemed a bit agitated. Seven added, "Second is right; this stinky snake isn't trying to deceive us, is it?" 0

With this conclusion, uncertainty crept into their hearts. Third stared intently at White Python and quietly asked, "Can I trust you?" 0

Surprisingly, White Python displayed a pitiful expression and finally blinked its eyes with determination. 0

"This water...?" Wang Er Gou blurted out. Third continued: "This water contains special energy, which can slow down the operation of our body's functions and reduce consumption." Several people were about to speak, Third continued: "Don't ask me what it is, I don't know either. ." Several people had no choice but to remain silent. Now to cast your vote, go up and raise your hands. No one raised their hands. Those who went down raised their hands. Third raised their hands first, Second also raised their hands, Seven naturally raised their hands, and only Wang Er Gou hesitated. After a while. He also raised his hand. Passed unanimously. Later everyone drinks the water from Stone Path. "Drink the water in Stone Path, damn, this stinky snake lives in this water every day, eating, drinking, shitting and wallowing in it. Is this water drinkable?" Second said. "If you want to save your life, drink it," Third said in a low voice. "Mom, drink it," several people held up the water and swallowed it. Don't tell me, the water is still so sweet. Wang Er GouI suddenly felt much better. This water, water, is indescribably wonderful. Seems to improve the body. White Python also turned somersaults in the Stone Path behind them, full of energy and not at all vulnerable when injured. "Okay, bring everything you should bring, don't leave anything behind." Second shouted. All four are ready. This time, Third is leading the parade, Seven is behind, and WhitePython is marching at the front. Everything was ready, Third walked down the stone steps, turned a corner, and came to the deepest corner that a few people had touched before. Before walking here, several people felt that their breathing was not smooth, and their chests felt as if they were pressed by stones. This time, there was no such feeling. Several people were breathing reasonably well. "Although this water is useful," Third reminded: "Pay attention to your breathing rhythm." Several people heard the sound and expressed that they understood. 0

As they descended the Stone Path, the water rose to their knees, becoming clearer with each step. Drops of water occasionally fell from above, and moisture seeped through the walls. 0

In such conditions, the oil lamp surprisingly continued to burn brightly. 0

Seven glanced at the fuel and realized it was not kerosene but a water-soluble fuel derived from a certain plant. 0

After winding down several turns, the water began to shallow, and eventually, the ground of the Stone Path became dry. At that moment, the flames burned even brighter, but the group’s breathing became labored, their faces turning pale. 0

They filled their bottles with water for emergencies. 0

This section of the Stone Path resembled the one above, but its walls had transformed from gray to a deep black, with dark green moss clinging to them. 0

The group moved cautiously, suppressing their breathing rhythm, making their footsteps light. Among them, the White Python seemed the most at ease. 0

As they continued downwards, even the previously confident White Python began to act more cautiously, slithering slowly and deliberately. 0

Wang Er Gou exerted himself to drink water while the others followed suit. 0

"Is there still a way out below?" This thought lingered in their minds as they subconsciously tightened their grips on their weapons. Reaching this point brought an inexplicable chill that sent shivers down their spines. 0

All of their faces were pale. 0

Wang Er Gou, being the eldest, not only looked pale but also had a hint of red on his face. He remained silent, holding back his thoughts. 0

After turning another corner, they found themselves facing a long flight of stairs—dozens of steps compared to just two or three before. The Stone Path widened significantly here; it was at least twice as broad as before. 0

The group paused before the stone steps, hesitant to make any sudden movements. They all understood that something significant was about to happen. 0

Storytelling is much like this; whenever something unconventional appears, it is certain that something extraordinary is about to happen, whether it be great fortune or great evil. 0

White Mang quietly leaned against the side, not daring to move. 0

Second whispered, "Can we go down the stairs?" He hoped to hear a satisfactory answer. 0

No one could provide him with the answer he wanted. White Python demonstrated the answer through action, directly climbing down the stone steps with perfect control over its speed. 0

Third hesitated for a moment but then also took a step forward and descended the stairs. 0

Next were Second, Wang Er Gou, and Seven. The stone steps were covered in black moss, making them somewhat slippery, and the group instinctively controlled their balance. 0

White Python moved alongside them, its body keeping pace while its head was already two steps ahead. 0

As Third walked ahead, he noticed something odd: with each step down, his body felt a bit heavier, yet his breathing became more even. 0

After descending about twenty steps, he bent his legs with each step. Of course, this was only Wang Er Gou's condition, but it didn't mean the others were faring any better. 0

"This staircase is eerie!" Seven remarked. The invisible pressure weighed on them; by the time they reached the thirtieth step, their calves were trembling. Second had already grasped Wang Er Gou's arm and asked with concern, " Er Gou, can you manage?" 0

Wang Er Gou remained silent, continuing to descend. The group’s breathing had eased somewhat, but they were drenched in sweat. As they moved further down, veins bulged on their foreheads, and they gasped for air; such exertion required a significant supply of oxygen. 0

White Python paused momentarily, hesitating. 0

Third glanced down and saw there were only five steps left; as they continued downward, they could hear the sound of bones creaking. 0

"What's going on? Even descending these stairs is so difficult!" Second couldn't help but curse. 0

Seeing that Wang Er Gou was struggling to hold on, Seven supported him on the other side. "If it’s this hard down here too, we won’t survive," Seven voiced his concerns. 0

Third paused in front, not turning back as he said, "You all stay here. If there are no issues, I'll call you." 0

Second heard that Third was going alone and almost shook off Wang Er Gou to follow. Second shouted, "It's dangerous; I can't let you go alone. I'm not helpless either." 0

Third replied, "Let me handle it!" With that, he took a step forward. This step was not just a physical challenge; even his heart was trembling, throwing his heartbeat into disarray. 0

Sweat beaded on Second's forehead, dripping onto the stone steps. Third bent his legs slightly before straightening up, adjusting himself to the best stance. 0

Meanwhile, White Python continued forward, reaching the bottom of the stairs ahead of Third. 0

With only two steps left, Third gritted his teeth. White Python winked at him, and with his lips bitten until they bled, he jumped down. 0

Surprise flashed in White Python's eyes. After jumping down, all the pressure vanished. Third placed his hands on his thighs, gasping for breath; the exertion had been immense. Sweat continued to trickle down his forehead. 0

White Python nudged Third's knee. Second anxiously called out, "Third, are you okay?" 0

Coming back to his senses, Third replied, "I'm fine. Once I’m down, all the pressure will disappear." 0

Upon hearing this, Second glanced at Wang Er Gou, who was clearly in poor condition; his face was flushed and he was obviously suffering from lack of oxygen. 0

Second quietly asked, "Can you manage it, Er Gou?" 0

Looking at both of them, Wang Er Gou said confidently, "With you two supporting me, I won't die." 0

At that moment, Third shouted, "You three stay close to the wall." The three complied and leaned against the wall, sandwiching Wang Er Gou in the middle for better support. 0

Once they were close to the wall, they indeed felt some relief from the pressure. "It really is strange!" 0

Without hesitation now, Second took a step down. Wang Er Gou placed a hand on Second's shoulder while behind them, Seven lent a crucial hand to support Wang Er Gou. They helped each other as they descended together. 0

Until the last step landed, Wang Er Gou collapsed directly to the ground, while the other two were gasping for breath just like Third had before. 0

Third hurriedly helped Wang Er Gou up, pinching his philtrum; otherwise, he might have suffocated. 0

After hitting the ground, Wang Er Gou's breathing was weak, unlike the other two who were panting heavily. He felt completely powerless, as if he had no bones at all. 0

Third assisted Wang Er Gou in regaining his breath. This wasn't working, so Third began to massage Wang Er Gou's entire body, saying, "Brother Wang, relax your body and don't tense up." 0

The other two had recovered a bit and helped by massaging Wang Er Gou's thighs. His breathing was intermittent, which was a sign that he was on the verge of passing out. 0

Everyone felt anxious. Finally, Wang Er Gou swallowed a breath and was able to breathe again. 0

They supported Wang Er Gou to stand up, helping him expel the stagnant air from his body. After a few moments of inhaling and exhaling, he finally started to recover. 0

However, he still couldn't muster any strength. 0

Second helped him sit down against a wall. Second said, " Er Gou, you've danced with death this time. You will surely have great fortune in the future." 0

Wang Er Gou didn't care much about that; he was just grateful to have survived. He could only respond with a bitter smile to Second's comment. 0
