Zhou Li continued, "It seems my guess was correct; you are the so-called 'Heavenly Born Individual.'"
Third remained silent, and a tense atmosphere began to fill the air.
Finally, Third said lightly, "Who exactly are you?"
Zhou Li chuckled mockingly a few times, as if ridiculing Third while also mocking himself.
Suddenly, Zhou Li remarked, "I didn't expect you to remember that family." A weight settled in Third's heart, and even the Wind revealed a look of astonishment.
Zhou Li laughed again, but Third remained tight-lipped.
In his heart, Third had already come to terms with it; even if someone from back then appeared now, he had nothing to say and had long since severed ties.
However, Zhou Li did not share this view.
Although many years had passed, trying to connect the dots now felt somewhat forced.
Third asked, "What is your purpose?"
Zhou Li still smiled, though he seemed more rational than before. Yet someone was not buying it— Second. It appeared that Zhou Li might have become their rival.
Second bluntly said, "Be careful not to lose your front teeth, you bastard." Surprisingly, Wind did not curse at Second this time to defend Zhou Li.
This was because even he could not understand Zhou Li standing before them; he didn't know what to say.
Zhou Li seemed unfazed and continued to smile. After a while, he finally stopped. "At this point, I have nothing more to say; just tell me that secret!"
Third asked, "What secret?"
"Stop playing dumb! You know exactly what I'm talking about," Zhou Li said.
At that moment, Seven interjected, "What qualifications do you have to negotiate with us?" As he spoke, Second raised the Submachine Gun and aimed it at Zhou Li.
The wind remained still, watching the scene unfold.
Third quietly said, "Second, put the gun down." Second hesitated but reluctantly lowered the Submachine Gun after Third repeated the command.
Zhou Li called out Third's real name, "Yu Ali, don't think I don't know about the dealings your faction was involved in back then."
Third was still confused. Zhou Li continued, "You reaped the benefits and then vanished, leaving your entire clan cursed to bear your sins."
These words struck Third like a thunderbolt, as if some long-hidden truth had finally been revealed.
Wang Er Gou nearby also showed a flicker of emotion; he recognized the term 'Heavenly Born Individual' as something extraordinary, not belonging to ordinary folk.
Third composed himself and replied, "I don't know any secrets. There's nothing here that you think exists."
Zhou Li was about to speak again.
Second cut in, "Third said there's nothing, so you don't need to ask anymore." It was clear that we were outnumbered; there were four of us, and the wind was starting to sway uncertainly. Moreover, we all had guns; Second clearly didn't regard Zhou Li as a threat.
However, he overlooked one uncertain factor.
Zhou Li began to laugh again. Though it was a hearty laugh, in this tense atmosphere, it sent a chill down everyone's spine.
Finally, Seven couldn't hold back any longer and shouted, "What are you laughing at, you deadbeat!"
"Smile again, and I'll turn you into a sieve," Second threatened.
Zhou Li immediately stopped laughing, and Second thought he had intimidated him with his words.
But then Zhou Li said, "It's time to act."
As soon as he finished speaking, everyone looked around, thinking he was signaling for someone hidden in the Tomb. However, they were mistaken. It was actually Wang Er Gou, who stood at the back, that was making a move against them.
Wang Er Gou's voice suddenly turned cold as he pointed his gun at the group and said, "Don't move."
Second stepped forward, ready to teach Wang Er Gou a lesson. But unexpectedly, Wang Er Gou fired a warning shot into the air and said, "If you come any closer, don't blame me for turning hostile."
Second turned back to see Wang Er Gou aiming his gun at them. He was furious and shouted, "You ungrateful wretch! I swear I'm going to kill you today."
Second paused for a moment but still tried to move forward, only to be pulled back by Seven.
Wang Er Gou took the Submachine Gun from Second and tossed it to Zhou Li. Zhou Li caught the gun and laughed even more. He said, "I don't want to take anyone's life. Pointing at Third, he added, as long as you’re willing to reveal that secret, I’ll let you go."
Third furrowed his brow; he didn't know what to say. Even if he did know something, he couldn't speak in this situation because revealing it might cost him his life.
Seeing Third's silence, Zhou Li's anger began to show on his face, which had previously been handsome and fair but now twisted slightly.
"It seems I need you to pay a price before you'll talk," Zhou Li said.
At that moment, Dafu spoke up. "Zhou Li," he rarely called Zhou Li by his real name, but this time he did.
Zhou Li glanced at Dafu.
The strong wind continued, "What are you doing?"
Zhou Li replied, "I'm just doing what I should do. You don't need to worry about it."
Having listened to so much, the strong wind understood the situation and said, "It's been so many years; it's time to let go."
Zhou Li let out a cold laugh. To everyone's surprise, he directly shot at the strong wind. The bullet struck the strong wind's leg, causing him to collapse to the ground.
Second rushed over to help the strong wind and cursed, "You beast!"
Zhou Li turned to look at Second and repeated the two words from earlier, "Beast," before shooting at Second without hesitation.
Second's knee buckled slightly, but he did not fall.
Zhou Li raised his gun again, aiming directly at Second's heart.
This movement was caught by several onlookers. Third was about to act, but it was already too late.
The bullet had already left the chamber and was about to pierce through Second's body. In that moment of thunder and lightning, the strong wind pushed Second aside and stood in front of him.
Everyone was stunned; time seemed to freeze at that moment as the strong wind fell lifelessly.
Second was still in shock, but quickly regained his senses. Despite the excruciating pain, he was determined to kill Zhou Li, his fury boiling over.
Just as Zhou Li was about to pull the trigger again, Third tackled him to the ground. Meanwhile, Seven took advantage of Wang Er Gou's distraction and swiftly knocked him down.
Although Wang Er Gou had hidden himself well, it was a fact that his physical condition was poor.
Seven delivered two punches directly to Wang Er Gou's head, causing him to faint instantly.
In the brief moment that Zhou Li was pinned down by Third, the Submachine Gun had already been knocked aside. Seeing this, Second attempted to retrieve the gun but was kicked to the ground by Zhou Li.
Due to his injuries, Second's mobility was severely compromised.
Third quickly engaged Zhou Li in a fierce exchange. Surprisingly, Zhou Li held his own against Third, matching him blow for blow. Although Third rarely fought, everyone knew his skills were formidable.
The speed of their punches and kicks was so rapid that it was nearly impossible to see clearly, especially with the dim lighting. Several flashlights had been broken in the scuffle, leaving only the ones brought down by the wind from Tomb Raiding that still worked.
The flashlights they had purchased earlier were nothing but low-quality products.
Zhou Li realized that the situation was turning against him. However, the darkness also provided him with a significant advantage.
Soon, their fight moved into a shadowy area.
Second looked at the fallen Dafu in front of him, his anger subsiding slightly. Dafu's chest was still bleeding profusely.
Second crouched down and said, "Dafu, don't worry. I will personally take care of that bastard."
Dafu struggled to speak, his breath faltering as he replied, "Don't... kill him." With that, he passed away.
Second felt a surge of hatred within him, but knowing it was Dafu's last wish, he vowed to honor it as best as he could.
Seven rushed over to help Second bandage Dafu's wounds.
Second staggered to his feet and took the gun from Seven's hands. After receiving the weapon, he strode directly towards the direction of their fight.
"Dammit, I'm going to kill you today!" Second shouted loudly.
This served as a signal for Zhou Li.
Third was actually at a disadvantage in the fight against Zhou Li. When the flashlight beam finally found the two of them, Zhou Li turned to glance at Second and noticed the glaring gun in his hand.
Just then, Third threw a punch at him. Zhou Li leaned back to meet the blow, taking Third's punch squarely, which sent him stumbling backward. He spat out a mouthful of blood.
After shooting a look at Third, he quickly retreated several steps. Second's shooting slowed down; two shots missed their target, and Zhou Li had already vanished from sight.
Second cursed under his breath, ready to chase after him, but Third called him to stop.
Second halted in his tracks.
Third stepped forward, blood clearly visible at the corner of his mouth, showing he had sustained serious injuries. Seven asked with concern, "Third, are you okay?"
Third shook his head and replied, "I'm afraid the three of us aren't his match."
Seven blurted out, "How could that be?"
At that moment, Third coughed up more blood he had been holding back.
Second continued to curse, "That son of a bitch! It's not that he ran fast; just wait and see how I’ll kill him."
Seven supported Third, but Third pushed his hand away, insisting that he take care of Second.
Wang Er Gou was still unconscious on the ground. Zhou Li had already vanished. It was dangerous for the few of them to remain here; Zhou Li was lurking in the shadows.
The ancient tomb was vast, making it nearly impossible to track a person's whereabouts. It was evident that Zhou Li had a clear understanding of the geography of this tomb.
"Looks like he deliberately lured us here," Seven remarked.
"I was careless and fell for it," Third admitted. "It's not your fault," Second replied, but the question of who to blame lingered in Second's mind. Soon enough, he directed his frustration toward Wang Er Gou, who lay on the ground.
He kicked Wang Er Gou and said, "It's all his fault! If it weren't for him, would we be in such a passive position?" He kicked Wang Er Gou again with more force.
Perhaps due to the pain, Wang Er Gou suddenly woke up.
Opening his eyes, he saw the three people before him and his face turned ashen. Before Second could speak, Wang Er Gou said, "I know I let you down. Do as you wish—kill or torture me."
"You ungrateful bastard! How did I treat you back then?" Second cursed.
"I shouldn't have saved you in the first place," Seven added.
Only Third remained silent, merely coughing a few times.
"At this point, it's too late for words. Just go ahead and do it!" Wang Er Gou said, closing his eyes again.
Second cursed, "You think I wouldn't dare to kill you?" He raised his gun, ready to fire, but Third pressed it down.
"Tell us everything you know!" Third demanded of Wang Er Gou.
Wang Er Gou opened his eyes once more and replied defiantly, "Go ahead and do it! I won't say a word."
"Ergou Master," Seven called out, "at this point, is there anyone you still want to hide the truth from?"
Wang Er Gou, addressed as Ergou Master, felt a surge of warmth at those words. But it quickly faded, and he replied, "Fine, there's nothing left to hide."
"Those who shouldn't die won't die no matter what; those who should die will inevitably meet their end."
Wang Er Gou turned to Seven and asked, "Do you remember when I told you about the Eastern Ancient Altar?"
Seven nodded. Second urged him, "Stop with the small talk and get to the point."
Wang Er Gou continued, "What I told you about is true; I wasn't lying."
Years ago, I was coerced into the most secretive altar within the Eastern Guan Mountain Range. An unexpected incident occurred, and everyone died, but I survived. The one who saved me was Zhou Li.
He rescued me back then, and over the years, he sought me out to ask for my help with something.
Out of gratitude for his kindness, I agreed. In return, he promised me one request: that I would be able to personally take revenge on my enemies.
He devised a plan, and I was the one who led you all into it.
In fact, things went surprisingly smoothly. You all followed the path I had laid out for you. Several times, I almost wavered in my resolve.
Because you had indeed treated me well in the past.
Second interjected, "Didn't I promise to help you get your revenge?"
Wang Er Gou smiled bitterly. "You can't take this revenge; only Zhou Li can accomplish it."
Second could only close his mouth.
Wang Er Gou continued, "Later, we arrived at the Eastern Guan Mountain Range, and Zhou Li came out in person. He said he wanted to conclude this game here."
"Later, it was also I who led you all to this Tomb."
A few of them pondered, realizing that it was indeed Wang Er Gou who had made some subtle moves that they had only just noticed.
At this point, Wang Er Gou sighed and said, "I've said everything I needed to say; now it's your turn to act!"
Third then spoke up, "What exactly is Zhou Li's identity?"
Wang Er Gou shook his head and replied, "I don't know. Over the years, I've only worked for him. Later, I tried to investigate his identity but found no trace of him. He is very mysterious, just like you," he said, pointing at Third.
Suddenly, Wang Er Gou seemed to remember something and said, "There might be another threat around you."
Second asked, "Don't scare me; do you think I'm easy to intimidate?"
Wang Er Gou chuckled a few times at Second's ignorance.
However, Seven interjected, "Master Ergou, please continue."
Wang Er Gou said, "That woman beside you." As soon as he spoke, everyone knew who he was referring to; the name Xin Shui Su surged in their minds.
Second responded, "What's wrong with her?"
Wang Er Gou teased, "Don't you find her suspicious?"
A single phrase jolted the dreamer awake. Yes, Xin Shui Su had somehow become one of their team members, and they had never doubted her, trusting her to the point that it now seemed almost unbelievable.
Perhaps her abilities were simply too strong; she didn't even need Twilight's help. She could easily eliminate several of them without a second thought, and they had never questioned that.
Third spat out four words: "I believe in her!"
Wang Er Gou fell silent for a moment before saying, "Back in the Eastern Guan Mountain Range, there was a mysterious woman. I wonder if you remember her?" This was directed at Seven.
Seven recalled that Wang Er Gou had mentioned such a person before.
Seven nodded.
Wang Er Gou continued, "I saw everyone inside perish with my own eyes; only Zhou Li and I managed to escape. Yet now she is still alive, and her appearance hasn't changed at all."
"When I first saw her, I intended to retreat and abort the plan, but fortunately, she didn't recognize me."
Suddenly, Second seemed to have an epiphany. "Could she be the 'Heavenly Born Individual' that Zhou Li spoke of?"
This statement stirred something within the group. Indeed, anything was possible in this world.
After Wang Er Gou finished speaking, he fell silent again, lost in thought.
The others also pondered this revelation, choosing not to disturb him for the time being.
