After a few seconds, the sound that had just echoed fell silent. 0

"Everything should be fine now," Fat Ma said tentatively. After a moment of stillness, he seemed reassured and turned to me, saying, "Old Sun, step aside and watch my technique." 0

Seeing Fat Ma so carefree made me feel a bit more at ease, so I followed him to the side of the coffin. 0

The coffin was in a state of severe decay, with the nails sealing it loosened. This time, Fat Ma didn't hesitate; he directly lifted the Coffin Lid. 0

A wave of putrid odor immediately wafted out, a dry and decaying stench. We quickly covered our mouths and noses and stepped back hurriedly. 0

"It's the smell of death," Fat Ma exclaimed. Hearing this made me tighten my grip over my face even more. 0

After a while, as the stench dissipated, Fat Ma asked me, "Old Sun, are you alright?" 0

I nodded. Since we were both fine, we stepped forward again. I turned on my flashlight, revealing that the body inside the coffin had turned to nothing but bones. 0

It was just bones, which meant it was safe. I couldn't help but feel relieved. 0

"Hey," Fat Ma suddenly spoke up, "something's missing." 0

His abrupt statement caught me off guard; I hadn't reacted yet. 0

Fat Ma continued, "When I opened the coffin just now, there was definitely a Bronze item inside." 0

Seeing how serious Fat Ma was about this, I still asked, "Are you sure you didn't missee it earlier?" 0

Fat Ma replied confidently, "When it comes to good Mingqi, I, Fat Ma, never forget." 0

This statement pushed both of us into a precarious situation; it meant that something had indeed been there just moments ago. 0

"Is there a third person here?" A question arose, but I quickly dismissed it. The only explanation was that something sinister had appeared. 0

After Fat Ma said that, he pushed it aside and began to sort through the items buried with the coffin, known as Mingqi. 0

I kept a close watch on the surroundings, fearing I might miss a detail that could lead to an accident. However, after a while, there was still no movement, so I began to relax. 0

But just then, I saw a hand reaching out from the bottom of the coffin. My heart leaped into my throat, and I felt as if I couldn't breathe. 0

I hurriedly called out to Fat Ma, warning him to be careful. 0

Upon hearing my voice, Fat Ma was startled and quickly stepped back, taking a deep breath. 0

"Ghost Claw," he exclaimed in shock. 0

"Ghost Claw? Is it White Bone Flesh?" As soon as I finished speaking, the ' Ghost Claw' seemed to be electrocuted and withdrew back inside. 0

"That's not right," Fat Ma said as if he had noticed something. He rushed closer to the coffin and then climbed inside. To our surprise, the coffin had a hidden bottom. "There's a tunnel!" Fat Ma shouted. 0

I quickly reacted and followed him. Inside the tunnel, Fat Ma cursed, "Damn it, we've really messed up this time." 0

He moved vigorously through the tunnel, eager to catch up with that ' Ghost Claw,' causing dirt to fall around us. I wanted to tell him to be more careful to avoid a collapse, but before I could say anything— 0

Suddenly, there was a loud crash; the tunnel gave way beneath us. Both Fat Ma and I fell through. Fortunately, we encountered some resistance midway—a corridor resembling a pavilion—otherwise we would have been seriously injured. 0

I got up as if nothing had happened and picked up the flashlight that had fallen on the ground. But in the next moment, I was stunned. 0

A chill ran down my spine, freezing me in place. After about a minute of standing there in shock, I suddenly felt nauseous and began to vomit as my stomach churned violently. 0

Fat Ma saw me vomiting and quickly got up, patting my back and asking what was wrong. 0

I pointed with my finger towards a long corridor, where the floor was covered with glazed tiles, and the painted columns had all faded. Above it, on the beams... 0

Fat Ma followed the direction of my finger. The beam of my flashlight illuminated a series of bodies hanging there, as if they were still swaying. 0

Fat Ma's face changed immediately, but being someone who had seen a lot, he managed to remain relatively calm. 0

He took a deep breath, steeling himself as he stepped forward. His heavy footsteps barely made a sound. 0

After I vomited for a while and felt somewhat better, I followed Fat Ma's lead. 0

He counted the bodies and, unable to hide his astonishment and fear, said, "There are a total of ten corpses." As he spoke, I felt a strange aura beginning to spread around us. 0

Strangely enough, these bodies had not turned to bones; instead, they had been naturally dried out. The outer layer of skin had turned black and clung tightly to the corpses, obscuring their true form. 0

Fat Ma reached out to touch one of the bodies and exclaimed in surprise, "Hey, it still has some elasticity! Old Sun, come feel this." 0

Upon hearing this, I touched it too and was shocked to find it indeed had some give. But when I looked up at that corpse, I suddenly noticed its eyeball move slightly. 0

I quickly stepped back a few paces and called out to Fat Ma. Seeing my reaction, he hurriedly retreated as well. 0

It felt like the breath caught in my chest wouldn't come out as I said, "That corpse just moved." 0

Fat Ma turned back to look; the ten corpses were completely still. 0

"Old Sun, you don't need to be too nervous. It's normal to encounter dead bodies in our line of work," Fat Ma reassured me. 0

I didn't respond, wondering if I had truly seen it wrong just now. 0

Fat Ma ignored me and muttered to himself, "These corpses are really strange." He stepped forward and took out a dagger, slicing it across one of the bodies. 0

Accompanied by a chilling scream that sent shivers down my spine, black liquid began to ooze from the dark corpse. 0

Fat Ma jumped back in shock. I heard the strange cry as well and quickly asked him what was wrong. 0

Fat Ma cursed, unable to hide his horror. "Damn it, Old Sun, you were right. It really is alive." 0

Earlier, when we were above, we had heard those eerie cries, likely coming from these corpses. 0

The silence was terrifying, but I noticed that the other bodies remained unchanged, still hanging there without any movement. Only the one Fat Ma had cut was continuously leaking black liquid. It dripped onto the ground, creating a rhythmic ticking sound that was exceptionally eerie, each drop tightening our nerves. 0

Suddenly, black worms crawled out from the gash in the corpse—first one, then two... 0

Fat Ma watched in fascination. 0

As they got closer, I realized what they were and shouted urgently, "Run! That's Corpse Gu; it's highly toxic!" 0

Upon hearing my warning, Fat Ma didn’t hesitate to question me; he immediately bolted away without even checking which direction to take. 0

The black worms seemed to have caught our scent and took flight, attacking us both. 0
